I would like to give feedback on my transaction with mountmoriah regarding the woods i bought from him yesterday. I saw his post here on nairaland that he is into wood business, lo and behold his post came at the right time that i needed to make a final decision on who to supply me my decking woods. I contacted him via whatsapp and he responded within a seconds and we finalised the deal within 30 miunutes. I linked him with my Engr. for further discussions and both agreed to go on with supply within 5 minutes. Mountmoriah supplied my Engr with 1by12(600 pieces) and 2by3(300 pieces) the following day, the woods are very good and very complete. Mountmoriah has been one of the best supplier (if not best) in term of responds to customers and sticking to agreement. Please kindly patronize him for your wood supply |

Let’s work this out, I need 8tons. megacontrol: I just did a drive round town today doing market survey on this.
Local = 250k - 260k (depending on distance)
Tiger TMT = 305k
HiTech TMT = 310k
How many tonnes are you looking to buy and where is your site? I am currently speaking to other builders around me if we could consolidate our orders and load directory from the factory in Ikorodu. I am sure we can get them to bulge with a 15T order though they normally set ~20T ish as minimum. |

I think this is somehow high. I did block work from German floor to decking level last 2 weeks and all what your baba lati listed cost me 450k which I was even thinking it was in the high side. Note: Total number of blocks(9 inch) was 5200. BuildingProject: Someone should please help me to review this job discussion, it's like my bàbà láti is ready to build his own duplex from this labor he is just calling. Engineers in the building. Please assist in going through. Just finished the German floor last year December. |

I seconded this, please the aggrieved party kindly accept the apology and move on. A lot of us(people) are benefiting from this thread a lot as a kobokobo project owner. Please accept our apologies CC BankeSmalls, Rexology etc Godisgreatest1: I apologize to all Igbo's for the comments made concerning the transaction that went wrong.
It may be surprising that the same trader that is called a 'thief' may be the same trader that some people are searching for the best sales and services.
Several artisans have defrauded, cheated, plagiarized, threatened and insulted clients here on this thread, but no one has heard of their tribes. Some don't even post comments here again.
We have an artisan here that sells granite that was once 'axed' by another artisan for a transaction that went wrong, to the extent that a thread was dedicated to him, yet nobody heard of his tribe, till date I haven't heard and I don't want to hear, that's not my interest.
Just went through the last 4 pages of this thread and still can't translate it into a meaningful conversation.
Please this is enough. Apologies have been tendered. I follow this thread to learn, not to read about tribe.
Since on Saturday there are questions I want to ask about septic tank and block sizes, but I have been holding it because I am fully aware that in a sane community this sort of argument discourages intelligent minds!! Please let's embrace peace. when all this is cleared I will proceed. |

This stealing of a thing is in a typical Nigerian man(the one close to us are artisans), everybody are looking for shortcut to live big. That’s why I stick to my Engineer, his service charge and that of his work craft( Bricklayer, carpenter, iron bender etc) is higher than what I see on nairaland but belief me my engineer will drop your last kobo for you. He will use best practice to reduce cost. So I don’t experience all this stealing of a thing. I sleep well when am home and I concentrate on my job at office while job is ongoing at my site. This is the second house my Engineer is building for me and his honest and trust is second to none. |
Car Talk › Re: Frequent Fan Belt Cut by Thenext(op): 8:39pm On Nov 28, 2020 |
Thanks appreciate 9icetoo: It could be any of the accessories that the belt turns such as the compressor, alternator, water pump, idler pulley roller etc. All these will have to be examined. Any with unusual noise may have to be replaced. I had an issue like this on a skoda but it was the alternator that was the culprit. Merely spinning it didn't indicate any problem. The mechanic however had seen something similar recently and his guess worked.
As for the original belt, you will get it in trinity close to ladipo or go to radautoworks at lekki. She is on Nairaland as well. Gazzuzz seems to be going the German way so might take a look at the car. I do not think your problem is a fake belt. Even the fake belts last a long time. Something is creating so much resistance to the rolling motion of the belt causing it to collapse or cut. |
Car Talk › Re: Frequent Fan Belt Cut by Thenext(op): 9:09am On Nov 28, 2020 |
Those mechanics said it’s tokunbo belt and collected 5k for the purchase of the belt. Who knows may be it’s inferior belt. Please how can I get original belt Thanks Midoda: What quality of belt are you replacing with? Examine the engine pulley and or rollers/adjuster. |

Please house what can be the cause of frequent fan belt cut? My Mercedes Benz (GLK350) fan belt has been cutting to pieces this days, within a week I have changed 2 different fan belt which I think is unusual. The belts got collapsed while driving. I have read alots about him on this thread but I decided to give a trial which for now he has performed up to my expectations. I will surely give feedbacks for every delivery from him. Stay tuned One4me: He used to do very well before he went Rogue! Some years back (up to around 2014) he was the numero uno of Granite and Stone Dust supply on this thread. He supplied me five 30Tons and four 20tons granite (and lots of Stone Dust) some years back and they were okay, except the last one when he started telling me stories.
I want to think and hope that he is begining to realise the importance of keeping it honest and simple. I wish him well |

Keep it up bro and warm up for granite supply for the decking. Attached is the picture of the 30 tons he supplied for me.

Thanks for your contribution. The project will run between 12-15 months due to funds. n3xt: - 7.5 - 8% of the total contract sum should be fine regardless of his expertise and the complexity of the project.
- Make installmental payments based on milestones achieved.
- Retain 20% holdback for 30 days after completion of work.

The build can’t be more than a duplex. N4m supervision fee for a duplex ain’t too bad.

My Engr. said the least he can collect from me is 10%. He is highly experienced and very good in the field, he built my home country house for me around 2016 and the building is fantastic. In short he is very good and has many projects(private and government) he is handling currently. micgray100: As a registered Engineer, we use total sum and source of project to determine Engineer's cost..
Total Sum of project Less than 50million and Private owned, can be percentaged at 2.5%
Total Sum of project Less than 50million and govt own /big multinational company, can be percentaged at 5%
Total Sum of project more than 50million and Private owned, can be percentaged at 5%
Total Sum of project more than 50million and govt own/ private big multinational company owned, can be percentaged at 7.5%..
lastly.. kobokobo stages supervision... 1 to 2% |

I need one firstly because I belief they are knowledgeable/experienced in the field and would be able to deliver a standard project. I don’t want to build a house and be seing cracks etc due to some errors which would have been captured by the Engr. during construction. Secondly my work won’t permit me to be around all the time to monitor the mason(Baba Lati in your case ). Why do you need one? Or at least on a full time basis. |

Just exactly what someone told me. You are a blessing to this forum. n3xt: I hope this helps.
Pros and Cons of 0.5hp and 1hp Submersible Pump
1. Power Requirement: 0.5hp submersible pump will work even in situation where there’s low voltage. 1hp requires full current. You can also power 0.5hp pump with a medium size generators. If you try using same generator for 1hp pump, it might burn the pump.
2. Borehole Depth: 1hp submersible pump is an overkill where the borehole depth is not more than 20m. 0.5hp will work fine in most Lagos sites. But if your depth is over 50m or even more, you’ll require a bigger pump.
3. Usage
