Baba Egun esheun gan niooo… please do you have the pix of the real wood doors, where it can be gotten and price. And also can it be used for toilet doors? EgunMogaji2: I’m going for real wood on my build. Second choice would have been manufactured wood. Did not consider metal for interior doors as they’ll sound and echo like pangolo.
Good luck on your project. |

Thank you sir. em7even: Not if you have gotten your visa, it is not necessary. If you're yet to apply, you just might do it to avoid unnecessary questions and delay. |

Thanks and appreciate. Please do you know if it’s necessary for me to do newspaper advert in addition to the affidavit? TheGuyFromHR: You've already made a legal name change. Your children are still under your parental authority so you and their other parent have the right to assign to them any names you choose. Are you having second thoughts or do you want to reverse the name change? Perhaps to try Oluwatunji?
As to whether that could cause complications for you at an airport, obviously if you're travelling with them you will (or should) carry all legal documentation regarding your status as their parent and the name change, so you should be able to explain matters to anyone who asks. |

Please I need your contribution on this matter. The surname on all my credentials (WAEC, degree, NIN, international passport etc) is Tunji, but I don’t want my children to bear Tunji but Olatunji. My children now have Olatunji as there surname on there birth certificates and NIN. I have done affidavit in court to claim that I am the same person having surname as Tunji and Olatunji. So my questions are, is this acceptable legally and will there be any problem at the airport when traveling abroad with the children. Or any future implications for me and the children. |

Born2conquer: I sat and i thought of a lot of things, building materials are unnecessarily high now,
Is it possible for a crash to happen? Crash as in the price of these things to come down suddenly,
2)what will happen to those who built houses with the expensive building materials once the prices crash?
Someone adviced builders to chill till the end of the year that price of items will come down back.
What’s your thought? We are in Nigeria, if you wait for price to come down na OYO oooo |

Focusmind: Dominionng is the known expert in that space. He did mine and the outcome was good. He will give you option of either using wood or iron grid to hold the board to the roof. I opted for the iron grid, though more expensive, 3X the cost of using wood but the durability is assured against ferocious weather elements. Okay thank you. Please how did he charge for the installation and screeding? |

n3xt: Update
As I was about responding to your first message, my phone went off. I’m sorry it took a while to attend to this.
I’ve reached out to Chekitaut and got his own side of the story.
According to him, here’s the chronology order of event between you:
1. 600 bags of cement (Lafarge) ordered 3 weeks ago
2. Due to accessibility issue, the cement was delivered in batches. First batch 300 bags was delivered.
NB: He didn’t tell me you had an agreement to do it this way.
3. The 2nd installment was expected from a delivery made to another distributor he joined with to lift a truck. However, due to the cost of transloading the cement he couldn’t take the cement. The truck was charging extra N250/bag from Ewekoro.
4. The total amount involved in this transaction is N2,160,000. Breakdown below:
- Cost per bag = N3,600 - Cost of 300 bags delivered = N1,080,000 - Cost of 300 bags undelivered = N1,080,000 - Total Amount refunded so far = N700,000 This was made in 2 installments (N500k and N200k).
- Outstanding Balance = N380,000
5. He’s expecting the balance from the cement distributor he’s partnering on this and promised to pay back within the week.
I’ll plead with you to allow some time to sort this out. I’m in the same business and I can tell you cement ordering these days is a huge risk. He didn’t deny the transaction. I hope you can give him a little more time to find an amicable resolve.
Please feel free to share your own part of the story to confirm if the probe above is correct and for learning purpose sir.
We are here to learn from each other and help others become better.
______
Thanks for your understanding sir. Hoping for a positive resolve. Baba @Chekitaut has refused to pay me has he promised that he will pay during the week. The week has ended and he neither pay me nor communicate with me on reasons why payment was not made. Can you see that the guy is upto something? |

Thanks my brother I appreciate you. n3xt: Thank you for your understanding.
I agree that Chekitaut didn’t handle this well and there’s no excuse to justify this. He didn’t explore all the options available. He could have reached out to see if there are other suppliers around who have something around the area.
We’ve worked together on similar stuff in Ilishan before. I could have linked him up with one of the FSA in the area. I got 800 bags from Ewekoro about the same time (29th May) without making any commitment.
I’ll keep you posted once I have more info on his repayment plan.
Let’s pray he’s able to meet up this time. My sincere apologies for all the inconveniences this might have caused you. |
