Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) as double agents will not be allowed to wreck the APC, a former House of Representatives member has said.

Dr Haruna Yerima from Borno State, who is a member of the APC merger committee, said PDP moles who found their ways into APC would be monitored to prevent them from destroying the party.
“As APC grows stronger, many politicians of different strength and characteristics are coming to join the party,” he told Daily Trust yesterday.
“We are becoming apprehensive because these politicians are going to come in with their own interest and baggage, particularly PDP baggage.
“Do not also forget that there were some people who were seriously against the presidential ambition of General Muhammadu Buhari and even when we were in ANPP there were some moles among us that worked for PDP but they were inside ANPP. These characters are still around in APC now.

Many of you are too blinded by tribalism to even understand the import of the report. Lagos state is not able to sustain itself because Fashola is performing. It is able to sustain itself because of the concentration of business from being a former federal capital and business capital. DOes Lagos generate money from natural resources? Absolutely no! Lagos generates money from the population density. What that means is that we have one big federal system mess. We have a structural failure right from independence. No state, including Lagos generates money from actually producing or developing anything. The richest states are either states that get the bigger share from Abuja or states that have a large population due to some historical advantage (e.g. Kano, Lagos, PH, Abuja). In America for example, states develop unique business proposition. Chicago, New York, Florida, are examples of states with unique business propositions that generate serious revenue.

When the political campaign starts, they will understand the import of what they are doing now. They will be taking to the cleaners
