Cry me a river! Tomorrow you would tell gullible minds here "i am neutral but I support Jonathan" confused nincompoop!
APC, the party of great ideas:

1. Increased LASU school fees by over 1000% from 25k to 300k

2. Sacked 788 medical doctors after a 9 month strike

3. Used police to brutalize LASU students when they protested

4. Used police to brutalize elderly people who protested against their criminal toll gate on Lekki road.

They really have great ideas as we can see. Awon Ole!

Sincere 9gerian: 2015 presidential election is already in the FRESH AIR golden bag. The challenge is how to get majority in the NASS post-2015.
What happened in 2011 will happen again in 2015. The only thing the core north wants is the presidency. Once they loose that, they will vote enmass for PDP in the subsequent elections and many of them will decamp again. The north does not like opposition politics

For ur information, we are all lagosian,anything that happen here whether good or bad directly affect us.
Just for the records. The Yoruba have never been one, right from the first republic. And the Yoruba have always been divided along religious lines. And thirdly, the Yoruba has never been sophisticated politically. In every election in the south west, money and items have always been shared to voters, right from the first republic. The only time you see the Yoruba united politically is when a Yoruba is going for the presidency against someone from another tribe. History is there for all to see

EducationRe: FG Didnt Give ASUU Ultimatum – Jonathan by theoctopus: 12:35am On Dec 01, 2013
honeric01: Then why promise what you don't have in the first place? the former agreement, did they do anything about it? did they make any attempt? what about the 100B they kept telling the public they have released when the strike was just 2 months old, where did the 100B come from? where is it now and why couldn't they use 3 months to source for approval from NASS as you want us to believe? we are not fools here, ASUU demand is not a new project so quit this line of thought, it's been on ground since 2009 even though it was 500B then.

You're more ignorant than the people you think are ignorant but i won't toll your line because you're likely to turn violent with words anytime soon when you have nothing more to say.
I dont even know where to start to address your ignorance from. They did not promise anything that was not fufilled. The offer of government is clear. What should be released is stated and what will be released in the next five years is also stated. Please go back and read the past news items. And please note this from the president

“What was expected having met with the highest authorities in the land for long hours, was for ASUU to immediately issue statement within 12 or latest 24 hours , to state their position whether they were accepting government’s offer or not. And if they are not accepting they should state the reason for that.”
Even if they didnt agree, they should have said so clearly and immediately, not play around and now use the excuse of a members death to indefinitely keep students at home. So if a member dies, millions of student should sit at home, APC and Jagaban style? This kind of rascality is really not good for our young democracy
EducationRe: FG Didnt Give ASUU Ultimatum – Jonathan by theoctopus: 12:16am On Dec 01, 2013
honeric01: Oga, you're not the only one with a TV, we all live in Nigeria, ASUU asked the govt to pay 100B from the agreed 200B for the year 2012/2013 and then balance up next year. in doing this, ASUU asked the govt to domicile the 100B with the central bank of Nigeria and not to even give it directly to ASUU nor the lecturers. has the 100B for this year being released? NO! we have just 30 days to go, if you can't release 100B as agreed by you, why should you be taken seriously? has the 40B been released too? when i say release, i am not talking about the ones we see on the pages of newpapers, we are talking about real money.

They went on strike based on the fact that this same FG refused to honour agreement entered into by them, they didn't go on strike on their own free will. 4 years was enough for any sane govt to really show commitment if truly she wants to change things.

Now back to the new deal, has the GOVT signed any part of the deal? if they have not, then why should ASUU call off the strike? and of what benefit is it going to be for them if they do without any concrete agreement on ground? think bro, think this through!
Sometimes I dont understand how you people just post things with so much ignorance of government procedure. Do you think GEJ can just order central bank to bring 100 billion just like that? Every expenditure for the year in budgeted. If there is a new project, the FG will have to send a supplementary budget to the NASS for approval. Why cant you guys just understand this simple thing for once. And you cannot be talking about sending a supplementary budget in November can you? We are talking of 2014 budget now, not 2013. I think part of the problem we have in this country is mass ignorance of our government works and it seem deceitful unions and parties always take advantage of that to hoodwink the gullible public

AdekunleBalogun: What a president! speaking from both sides of the mouth, this president is the greatest mistake in the history of this country. Am utterly shocked and disappointed @ the level of clueless of this mistake of a president, if the minister of education is now the spokes person for the chancellors then he can also be a spokes person for ASUU too abi. This man has brought the presidency to lowest level of incompetence, well can't really blame you I guess you are a product of a bad system.
So according what you have posted here, the president can also wake up next year and say that the agreement signed by the minister of education is unworkable. Once beaten twice shy. If the president is truly sincere and has the interests of the students at heart, let him sign the agreement without delay. After all it shudnt take more than 30 secs for him to sign the agreement. Or what is the point of being in a meeting for 13 hrs, coming to an agreement and then now to fail to give the agreement legal backing by signing it.
You still dont get it! What makes a government document valid is not the signature of the president. It is when it is gazetted! That is when it becomes "law". Please learn!
I have never seen a president so dishonest, devious and extremely prevaricated!

Nigerians have never been this divided, people caught with their hands in the cookie jar are left off the hook because they are from a particular region. The Nigerian president is not to be criticized because he is from a particular region. The emphasis is always on tribe, always. You are the Nigerian president for fvg sake!

The most annoying is this ASUU issue, should any PhD holder with half wit make such a dumb statement as that credited to Mr. Jonathan? They should call off a strike within 24hours because you agreed verbally to do your duties as President? That is if they decide to be beaten twice and of course overlook your highly perfidious nature.

->> Discussion
->> Feedback
->> Conditions
->> Signing of agreement by every culpable fg official
->> Call off

ASUU will be crazy not to get that agreement signed before calling off the strike, not with this two-timing drunk!
You want him to sign it with his blood? Do you even know how government works? The resolutions from any government meetings are well documented and subsequently gazetted. The 2009 agreement is documented and signed. That does not change anything. What is important is that decisions must be workable and feasible and the FG has come out to say that the 2009 document is not feasible and should be renegotiated, simple as! They have now had a new workable agreement with president himself in a 13 hours marathon meeting. The meeting in itself is a well documented event and the results and resolutions of that meeting is well documented and will be gazetted after all due process. The president does not need to sign an invoice before it is implemented. The lecturers know that. They are just playing politics after collecting money from corrupt politicians

greggng: i have seen reason to believe that this administration is clueless. You had meeting with ASUU and they ask you to put in writing what you promised and you refused and ask them to resume....what a shame. If the govt is sincere why not put everything in writing so that blames can be apportioned where necessary,instead of doing the needful , wike the foot soldier came out to accuse ASUU OF making fresh demand. Whom are they deceiving? Does wike think that he can bully ASUU same way he is causing problems in rivers state. Nigerians are watching with keen interest. Let him sack all lectures and go to OTUOKE to hire militants to lecture in the universities.While his own kids are abroad studying.
You are an illiterate obviously else you will know that the meeting had a secretary that put everything in writing. Olodo!
