I live in Lagos. I walk around anytime of the day. Except from some trouble spots, no one harasses me. I cant do that in many parts of London. I cant even try that in Russia or India or Brazil. Mexican gangs have killed over 50 thousand people in the last 5 years, in some of the most horrendous massacres. Yet I dont see mexicans talking their country down. You Nigerians are a disgrace

There are many states in Nigeria that are so peaceful. States like Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Sokoto, Ekiti, Ondo, Ebonyi are amongst states you can live without a single care. Stop spreading evil news about Nigeria

Florida Cop Buys $100 in Groceries for Woman Caught Shoplifting Food

A struggling Florida mom who was caught trying to shoplift hundreds of dollars of groceries ended up with food and a ride home from a kind-hearted police officer, instead of a ride to the stationhouse.

When Miami-Dade Police Officer Vicki Thomas, 55, was dispatched to look into a shoplifting case at a Publix grocery store, a store manager led her to Jessica Robles.

“She was crying. I said, ‘Okay, what did she take?’ And he pointed to a grocery cart that was full of groceries,” Thomas told ABCNews.com. “I’ve been on [the job] 23 years, and I went, wow.”

“She just filled up the grocery cart and she just walked out, which shocked me and I asked her, ‘Why?’” Thomas recalled. “She said, ‘My children were hungry.’ And that immediately impacted me.”

Your statistics is crap. Most of the children who dont go to school are almajiri in the north. That is not just a government problem. It is a cultural one. Down south, most children are in school. The schools might not be in good shape, but most children are in school. So dont tell us nonsense.

People say Nigeria has a large unemployment but it is very false. Those who say that are those who want us to believe that only formal jobs are real jobs. Most Nigerian have jobs. There are very few Nigerians who sit at home without jobs like you find in many foreign countries. Barbers, Vulcanizers, cobblers, masons, carpenters, okada riders, bus drivers, etc. Most Nigerian youths have a thing or two to do. It might not be the best of things, but they do have things to do. In the western world, if you are jobless, you are helpless. I will never fall for their media nonsense

On another note: I agree Okada should be phased out as a means of transportation but I frowned at how some state governments, not just Lagos, went about it. For example, in Lagos, Fashola encouraged them bought helmets for them and used them for his campaign, only to ban them after he won. That is completely dishonest and in a more advanced country, he would have been forced to resign. He was a dupe.

Banning okada, just like every other long term policy, must be planned and executed in such a way that everyone will be carried along. That is the real issue
