How embattled world leaders sought spiritual help from Adeboye

November 14, 2013

Aside from the tens of thousands of people who throng the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) popularly known as “Redemption Camp” for spiritual rejuvenation, several world leaders also secretly send emissaries to the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

It is no news that Nigerian leaders, including incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, politicians, military chiefs and businessmen have at various times visited the redemption camp located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, African Searchlight can authoritatively reveal that some world leaders had also contacted Adeboye for spiritual help.

African Searchlight gathered that Adeboye told a gathering of christian clerics during a breakfast tete-a-tete at the redemption camp that in the height of the uprising that culminated in the killing of Gaddafi, the Libyan leader attempted to send some of his allies to him for prayers. The sources said the renowned preacher had told them that he got a message that five men from the Gaddafi’s crumbing government were to visit the redemption camp with words from the embattled Libyan leader. Adeboye told the gathering that Gaddafi’s men had planned to come and seek spiritual intervention to save his government. The RRCG leader however told the meeting that the emissaries from Gaddafi never got visas because they were stopped tactically by the Nigerian government. African Searchlight was hinted by sources in security circles that the visit from Libya was punctuated through moves by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) and the State Security Service (SSS) when they got wind of the proposal. African Searchlight’s investigation discovered that the Nigerian security chiefs through a security report dissuaded the presidency from allowing visits by Gaddafi men at a time when his government was a pariah and already being tackled by the US, UK and France, following the UN resolution that eventually authorised a “No Fly Zone” over Libya. Consequent upon the international diplomacy implications of the situation, the Nigerian embassy in Libya was directed to deny Gaddafi’s emissaries visas to visit the spiritual leader. According to our source, Adeboye himself told the meeting that he was not really keen to receive Gaddafi’s messengers while the man of God also said he prayed over the matter.

Another embattled world leader, British Prime Minister David Cameron Cameron also sent emisaries to Adeboye in the thick of the London riots, African Searchlight investigations uncovered. Adeboye told the visiting clerics that Cameron was pertubed over the London riots degenerating into the likes of the “Arab Spring” uprisings that swept away hitherto powerful leaders like Libya’s Gaddafi, Egypt’s Mubarak and Tunisia’s Ben Ali. According to our sources, the delegation was mandated to ask Adeboye to pray fervently for the London riots that occurred in summer of 2011 not to consume the Cameron administration and indeed the Queen Elizabeth monarchy. Cameron who was enjoying his summer holiday in Italy, had to rush home as the riots spread form London to three other cities. The British PM eventually survived the five days of riots, which cost taxpayers the payment of 100 million pounds to looted businesses and damaged properties.

The latest on the list of world leaders enmeshed in crisis and hoping for a resolution from the redemption camp is President Bashar Hafez al-Assad of Syria. Assad, a Moslem is currently battling to survive the Syrian version of the Arab Spring, which has degenerated into a full blown civil war. African Searchlight found out that the 48-year-old Assad had through his emissaries made contacts with Adeboye to seek spiritual help as rebel forces inched close to the seat of power in Syria’s capital, Damascus. According to our sources, Assad, just like Gaddafi both of whom had heard so much about the spiritual breakthroughs and miracles being recorded at the redemption camp believed that the Syrian crisis would be over as soon as he contacted Adeboye. The Syrian president had acquired tapes of events at the redemption camp, including the Holy Ghost congresses and conventions where tens of thousands gather for spiritual upliftings. Sources told African Searchlight that he was particularly fascinated by testimonies about healing and other miracles as told by faithfuls during the redemption camp events. Assad’s believe that solution to his problems could come from Nigeria was influenced by the respect he is said to have for Nigeria and Nigerians. The Syrian president had attended postgraduate studies at the Western Eye Hospital, in London, specializing in ophthalmology in 1992 and in the course of his studies in London, he had met and interacted with Nigerians whom he considers “very brilliant.” Assad’s troops have been gaining upper hand in recent times as the almost three-year-old progress and he has miraculously succeeded in avoiding a planned attack by the United States and has continued to fend-off a ‘gang-up’ by the Arab League who are supporting the opposition. So far, Assad remains the only Arab leader in recent times who has been able to survive a prolonged uprising such as the Arab Spring. It is not clear if Assad’s search for spiritual intervention has helped him to nudge ahead or just by reason of fate.

No need for UN military enforcement to battle Boko Haram: Nigeria

AFP | 17 April, 2015 09:01

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday told the United Nations his country would not need the help of an international force in the fight against Boko Haram.

The outgoing leader said in a statement he wanted the UN to focus instead on helping to rebuild communities and assist those affected by the six-year Islamist insurgency.

Jonathan made the remarks after meeting with the special representatives of the UN secretary-general for west and central Africa, Mohammed Ibn Chambas and Abdoulaye Bathily, the statement said.

The UN refugee agency has said that 1.5 million people have been displaced by Boko Haram violence in northern Nigeria, while more than 13,000 people have been killed.

Jonathan said that with the support of troops from Chad, Niger and Cameroon, the Nigerian military had in recent months regained most of the towns and villages seized by the Islamist militants in the northeastern states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

The Nigerian military has "commenced a final push to take the last stronghold of the insurgents in Sambisa Forest" in Borno state, the statement quoted him as saying.

It is believed that most of the 219 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok in Borno state a year ago are being held in the forest.

Chambas, a former head of west African regional bloc ECOWAS, told Jonathan that the UN team was visiting the countries affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, which also includes Chad, Cameroon and Niger.

He reaffirmed the UN's readiness to support the ongoing efforts by Nigeria and its neighbours to end the insurgency.

I hope now that you feel a little more enlightened, @OP, you will desist from proving to the world just how bad our educational system has become.

Boko Haram slit throats of 12 as army tries to save civilians: sources

Fri Apr 17, 2015 2:49pm EDT

(Reuters) - Boko Haram militants have slit the throats of 12 people in northeast Nigeria as the army was trying to evacuate civilians from the area, a military source and a witness said on Friday.

The Islamist group has been driven out of much of the huge swathe of territory they controlled at the start of the year, thanks to a concerted push by troops from Nigeria and neighbours Chad, Niger and Cameroon.

The town of Gwoza, in mountainous terrain, was one of the last places to fall, on March 27, and there remain pockets of Boko Haram activity in the area, security sources say.

"Just as troops were trying to evacuate some civilians from the hills so as to safeguard them from a planned air strike ... some Boko Haram attacked them and slit the throats of 12 people," a military source said of Wednesday's attack.

A witness, Jonas Musa, told Reuters his parents were both among the victims. He said soldiers had moved one wave of people from the hills around Gwoza, but before they could go back for the second, the attackers struck.

Failure to crush Boko Haram or protect civilians was one reason President Goodluck Jonathan lost an election on March 28 to Muhammadu Buhari. Boko Haram, fighting to establish an Islamic state, has killed thousands and kidnapped hundreds during its six-year-old insurgency in Africa's biggest economy and top oil producer.

Buhari has pledged to spare no effort in crushing the militants after he is sworn in on May 29. He said on Tuesday he would do everything he can to rescue more than 200 girls abducted by the group a year ago from a school in the village of Chibok, but that he could not promise to find them.

Gov. Ajimobi to visit Mecca with 10 Islamic scholars for reelection thanksgiving

April 17, 2015

Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi is still in an exultant mood after his victory last week in the governorship election where he triumphed in a formidable field that featured his two immediate predecessors. At some point last year, some pundits were predicting a loss for the governor. But he somehow managed to pull it off, defeating Rashidi Ladoja, Adebayo Alao-Akala, and Teslim Folarin of Accord, LP and PDP respectively.

At the eight-day Fidau for the late chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Baosari Haruna, the governor asked the Islamic scholars present to select 10 of them to accompany him to Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser Hajj ( Umrah) to thank Allah for His mercies on him and the state following his reelection.

Ajimobi also spoke about how in the buildup to the election, he had to relocate from the Government House to his private residence in Ibadan, the state capital. Some of his opponents claimed that he moved because he knew he was going to lose. Gov. Ajimobi however disclosed that he fled because his opponents directed evil traditional sacrifices – ebo – at him.

“hey first came to you Alfas to give them prayers that will send me out of office, but my own Alfa’s prayers superseded theirs.

“Every morning, I go out for exercise. If you know the Government House very well, it has many interchanges, popularly called orita, I see all kinds of sacrifices (ebo) placed at these junctions.

“Worried by these developments, some of you my Alfas here advised me to move out of the Government House to render their evil plots useless,’’ he said.

Hyundai Heavy says not building Nigerian shipyard

September 16, 2011

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. is denying a statement from Nigeria's presidential office that it plans to build a multibillion dollar shipyard in the country.

Hyundai Heavy spokesman Kim Moon-ju said Friday that the company has no such plan.

A statement late Thursday from President Goodluck Jonathan's office said the shipyard would be built in Brass in Bayelsa state, his home region.

Kim said that Hyundai Heavy President Lee Jai-seong made no such comment during a trip to the country. Kim said the company is building a small pipe-manufacturing factory in Bayelsa.

Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation, faces crushing unemployment and poverty. The government has promised other projects in the past that failed to materialize.

As America takes control of playing out the script of how Gen. Buhari would be prevented from ruling Nigeria, America has gagged GEJ and his team from making any live public interviews because America can not afford any gaffs that may expose their conspiracy.

Perhaps that is why GEJ is allegedly making his public statements by writing letters.

Politics / Nigerians Living Abroad Remitted $21bn In 2014 — World Bank by TheOtherview: 8:15am On Apr 16, 2015
Nigerians living abroad remitted $21bn in 2014 —World Bank

April 16, 2015

The World Bank has disclosed that Nigeria received a total of $21 billion from its citizens living abroad as home remittance in 2014 saying that growth of remittance is expected to slow this year.

naira-DollarThis fact is contained in the latest issue of the World Bank’s Migration and Development Brief, released in Washington at the ongoing Spring Meetings of the IMF/ World Bank Group. It said that officially recorded remittances to the developing world are expected to reach $440 billion in 2015, an increase of 0.9 percent over the previous year.

Global remittances, including those to high income countries, are projected to grow by 0.4 percent to $586 billion.

It said “The top five migrant destination countries continue to be the United States, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) while the top five remittance recipient countries, in terms of value of remittances, continue to be India, China, Philippines, Mexico and Nigeria.

The release said “Nigeria alone accounts for around two-thirds of total remittance inflows to Sub Sahara Africa, but its remittances are estimated to have remained flat in 2014, at roughly $21 billion”.

It said that “growth of remittances to the Sub-Saharan Africa region is projected to slow to 0.9 percent in 2015, amounting to $33 billion. The regional growth in remittances in 2014 largely reflected strong growth in Kenya 10.7 percent, South Africa 7.1 percent and Uganda 6.8 percent.

The level of remittance dependency varies across countries. Remittances in the Gambia, Lesotho, Liberia and Comoros equal about 20 percent of GDP in 2013, the latest available data. Remittance flows to the region are expected to pick up to $34 billion in 2016 and $36 billion in 2017.

In Somalia, concerns are rising about the impact on remittances due to “de-risking”– the closing of bank accounts of money transfer operators by correspondent banks fearing risks of money laundering and financial crime”

The World Bank said that “growth in global remittances, including those to developing countries, will slow sharply this year due to weak economic growth in Europe, deterioration of the Russian economy and the depreciation of the euro and ruble.

The 2015 remittance growth rates are the slowest since the global financial crisis in 2008/09. Nonetheless, the number of international migrants is expected to exceed 250 million in 2015, and their savings and remittances are expected to continue to grow.

The slowdown in the growth of remittances this year will affect most developing regions, in particular Europe and Central Asia where flows are expected to decline by 12.7 percent in 2015.

“The positive impact of an economic recovery in the U.S. will be partially offset by continued weakness in the Euro Area, the impact of lower oil prices on the Russian economy, the strengthening of the US dollar, and tighter immigration controls in many remittance source countries.

In line with the expected global economic recovery next year, the global flows of remittances are expected to accelerate by 4.1 percent in 2016, to reach an estimated $610 billion, rising to $636 billion in 2017.

Remittance flows to developing countries are expected to recover in 2016 to reach $459 billion, rising to $479 billion in 2017.

The global average cost of sending $200 held steady at 8 percent of the value of the transaction, as of the last quarter of 2014. Despite its potential to lower costs, the use of mobile technology in cross-border transactions remains limited, due to the regulatory burden related to combating money laundering and terrorism financing, says the Brief. International remittances sent via mobile technology accounted for less than 2 percent of remittance flows in 2013, according to the latest available data.

In addition to sending money to their families, international migrants hold significant savings in their destination countries. ‘Diaspora savings’ attributed to migrants from developing countries were estimated at $497 billion in 2013, the latest data available, and $132 billion in 2017.

So, pray tell, who is doing the Attachee-by-force today? grin
Did the reality finally dawn on you after the near universal rejection of Jonathan across the country (even among the 'Middle Belt Minorities' you were so banking on) save for the South-East states?
Now, feeling heavily rejected, you're suddenly brothers with the SE, charting some political cause. Awwww! So touching.

But a few things you must get through your cranium, Mr. Izon Commando:

1. There is no such thing as "SE/SS". There is just a geopolitical region known as SE (made up of Ndigbo) and ANOTHER region known as SS (made up of numerous ethnic nations united by crude oil), so cut the bulllshit.

2. A vote for Jonathan is not necessarily an endorsement of the "Izon Nation" or some sort of regional solidarity. People voted Jonathan for various reasons. For some, it could be tribal, for some it could be pecuniary, for some it could be strategic, for some it could be an outright rejection of Buhari as a man and an administrator, and for some others (if you're in my case) an endorsement of a level-playing field and a strong support for economic capitalism. If you support Jonathan for tribal reasons, good for you. Just celebrate your failure alone and stop trying to bundle others under some rubric of "SE/SS" for your dead goal.

And finally,
3. That "Old Eastern Region" of yours ceased to exist in the 60's at the request of many including YOUR "SS" village champions. If the Izons want something, let them stand on their own and agitate for it instead of looking for others to help them fight. Within the last four years, the sole beneficiaries from the so called Niger Delta struggle were still the ijaw ex-militants while the other groups like the Itshekiris were relegated to the waste bin. Rivers State oil wells were ceded to Bayelsa. Even last year, there were talks of Akwa ibom lands belonging to Izons... the juicy oil producing plots too.
Now that the party is over, you suddenly remember "SE/SS". What a joker you are.
Quit the ATTACHEE-BY-FORCE and stand on your own, lazy bum! smiley

Quoted again, for posterity.

It was Samuel Johnson who described 'patriotism' as the last refuge of a scoundrel.
So borrowing from that literary tradition, I declare 'ethnocentrism' as the final place of solace for an unscrupulous @barcanista. cool

This is the moment an astonishing seven tons of live catfish spilled from the back of a truck onto a Chinese highway after the vehicle's rear door suddenly popped open.

It is thought the door was jolted open when the truck drove over a bump in Kaili, in the Guizhou province of China.

Fire crews and local residents joined forces to clear up the slippery mess, using hoses to keep the fish wet while they were painstakingly collected in buckets before being transferred into the scoop of a passing digger and then back into the truck.

Amazingly, the whole 6,800kg mess was cleared in under two hours, according to People's Daily Online.

Innit though.

Around 6,800 kilos of catfish were scattered along a road in the Kaili Development Zone of Guizhou province after the door of the loading truck carrying the haul accidentally swung open mid-route yesterday afternoon. Thanks to a few determined workers and some extra-long hoses, however, the supply did not go to waste.

Six Countries Turn Down Petroleum Minister Alison-Madueke’s Asylum Request, BCA Report Says

APR 14, 2015

No fewer than six countries have already refused to grant an asylum request by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, the Business Council for Africa (BCA) said in its just-released monthly report, noting that about US$ 1 trillion is the latest estimated figure of the looting of the Nigerian treasury between 1960 and 2005 alone.

The report, dated March 2015, focused extensively on Nigeria’s general elections. It said the notorious Minister, whose impunity is known to have been closely-protected by President Goodluck Jonathan, will be coming under the microscope for the first time in her Ministerial career.

“Given her reputation, it comes as no surprise to learn that 6 countries have already refused to grant her asylum to live in their countries as she now wishes to leave Nigeria at the earliest possible opportunity,” it said.

BCA recalled President-elect Muhammadu Buhari lamenting that the rest of the world looks at Nigeria as the home of corruption, one where stealing is not corruption but a way of life, and that his administration will pursue all public offices and individuals who are believed to be guilty of corruption.

It observed that despite an earlier promise, it is now understood that Buhari’s anti-corruption fishing net will include Ministers currently serving under President Goodluck Jonathan. Alison-Madueke’s departure from Nigeria is likely to be followed by several other PDP elders, party members and supporters as well as some former Government officials, as Buhari's anti-corruption drive will be far-reaching.

“It will be very interesting to learn in the coming months exactly how far back in Nigeria's history his administration will go in the pursuance of those who have robbed Nigeria of US$ 1 trillion, which is the latest estimated figure of theft from the Nigerian treasury between the period 1960-2005. Given that President Jonathan's administration is considered the most corrupt of any of its predecessors, that figure is going to be considerably magnified, but whether the new President will wish to pursue former Heads of State is a matter of interest and considerable debate to Nigerian observers. It is this subject that is primarily responsible for Buhari's success in winning the election as well as his campaign promises to eradicate Boko Haram, revive the economy and rebuild Nigeria to make its position as the number one country in Africa.

While BCA agreed that the March/April 2015 were “the most credible elections in Nigeria's history”, it said they could not be called the most incorruptible.

On the contrary, it referred to them as the worst because of the amount of money that the PDP so freely and openly spent on trying to secure the re-election of Mr. Jonathan.

“The stories and reports from throughout the 36 States of the amount of money distributed by the PDP to elders, rulers, church leaders, unions and youth leaders amongst others in an endeavour to favour the voters towards the PDP has backfired badly,” the report said.

BCA said that if the 2011 elections were considered bad, the 2015 elections will undoubtedly go down as the most corrupt in Nigeria's history, certainly since 1999, as the amount of money being distributed as bribes primarily by the PDP so very openly would readily confirm.

It reported that since November when campaigning began, President Jonathan and General Buhari during their travels made no fewer than 109 promises of what they intend to achieve if given the mandate in the presidential election.

“President Jonathan's campaign continued to hinge on his party's Transformation Agenda and the achievements of his Government in the last 4 years, particularly in the agricultural sector, job creation and the empowerment of women,” the report said. In that regard, it credited Jonathan as having achieved a great deal during his tenure.

It said it was however Jonathan’s failures - rampant corruption, insecurity, inability to eliminate the Boko Haram insurgency, failure in such sectors as the economy, and power in particular, and the overall feeling that he was ruled rather than led - that have cost him his re-election bid.

The report also stated that in the 2015 elections, up to 250 Nigerians lost their lives, describing that deplorable record as speaking volumes for the control achieved by the Police at the campaign rallies by the two main candidates.

It described the cost of the campaigns of the two main parties as “simply staggering”, noting that by the first week of March, Buhari had spent some N332.58 billion as compared to the expenditure of President Jonathan which amounted to N1.05 trillion.

“This is without taking into account the cost of other expenses for such items as campaign rallies, where the PDP has spent N1.06 billion against Muhammadu Buhari's APC's N595.08 million, and clearly demonstrates the desperate lengths that the PDP have gone to in order to try and secure the re-election of President Jonathan.”

Supreme Court affirms Fayose’s victory

APRIL 14, 2015

The Supreme Court on Tuesday affirmed Ayodele Fayose as the duly elected governor of Ekiti State in the June 21, 2014 election.

‎In a unanimous decision by the seven-man panel led by Justice John Fabiyi, the apex court upheld the earlier decisions of the Court of Appeal and the Ekiti State Governorship Election Tribunal, which had both earlier ruled that the petition challenging Fayose’s victory lacked merit.

In the lead judgment delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, the apex court dismissed all the grounds of appeal filed by the petitioner – the All Progressives Congress – and resolved all four issues arising from the appeal against the party.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared that Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 203,090 votes to defeat the then incumbent governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, of the All Progressives Congress who polled 120,433 votes‎ in the election.

Dissatisfied by the results declared by the INEC, the APC had filed a petition, urging the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which sat in Abuja to nullify the election.

The petitioner had anchored its case on the grounds of alleged irregularities, intimidation of its leaders by the military, ineligibility of Fayose to stand for the election and allegation that the PDP candidate forged his Higher National Diploma certificate presented to INEC.

The Justice Siraju-Mohammed-led tribunal had, in its verdict delivered on December 19, 2014, ‎dismissed the petition for lacking merit.

The Justice Abdul Aboki-led five-man panel on April 15, 2015 affirmed the decision of the tribunal.

But the APC further appealed to the Supreme having been dissatisfied with the Court of Appeal’s decision.

The Supreme Court, in its judgment on Tuesday, held that none of the grounds of appeal was proved by the appellant‎.

It held that while impeachment was not a ground of disqualification ‎from contesting as governor under section 182 of Nigeria’s constitution, the panel which recommended Fayose for impeachment on October 16, 2006, was illegally and unconstitutionally constituted.

It also held that the allegation of certificate forgery had been caught by the principle of “issue estoppel” as it had been laid to rest since 2004 by the Court of Appeal’s judgment‎ in the case of Alliance for Democracy.

According to the apex court, the Court of Appeal had, in the said judgment, held that the HND certificate was genuinely earned by and awarded to Fayose.

On the issue of militarisation and harassment of leaders of the APC, the Supreme Court held that the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police, joined as 4th and 5th defendants in the case were not necessary parties.

The apex court held that ‎the actions of the men and officers of the two defendants that allegedly harassed the APC leaders during the election and whose names were not mentioned could also not be answerable for by the INEC as stipulated by the Electoral Act.

Here is more of what Prof. Soyinka had to say about ‘Mr. Aye Dee’ in his memoir, “You Must Set Forth at Dawn”:

“One was a self-hating Igbira, a minority tribe from the Nigerian hinterland, whose yearning to be mistaken for a Fulani aristocratic scion had resulted in his changing his name from Daniyan to Dan’Iyan. Partnering him was an ambitious youth from Swarthmore College, Jude Uzowanne. The third member was a labor unionist from Edo in southern Nigeria, Tunde Okorodudu, an activist in his own right who fell under the spell of the fourth member and center of intrigue, the liaison officer for the U.S. Boston chapter, Maureen Idehen, a pharmacist who had worked closely with me and was central to the coordination of activities for much of the United States. Together, this Gang of Four—the accolade was spontaneously bestowed—succeeded in serving a timely lesson on the power lust even among a yet inchoate formation that sought to curb power at its most virulent and malignant. It was a low point in the career of the anti-Abacha movement, suddenly compelled to confront the banal distractions of trite intrigues and personal ambitions. Expelling the miscreants took its toll. The liaison officer, the Boston-based Maureen Idehen, made off with our scant funds, leaving behind a trail of bad checks.”

mrmetoo1:

Is he mad?? Anyway El-Rufai is a smart man. The guy is surrounding himself with his son (quite a sharp guy), omojuwa, ayourb, bint_moshood and other sharp young minds and AyeDee thinks he has a chance?? That good for nothing desperate nincompoop. He needs to go back to getting attention from Linda Ikeji

^^^Too right.

Linda Ikeji, Mukhtar Alexander Dan’iyan,Alias Aye Dee Lied, Google Has nothing to do with Site temporary Shutdown. Documents Tendered by Aye Dee were all forged

In igbo land, there was a story of a man who stood at the village square daily to raise alarm of being attacked by some forces. His kinsmen on each occasion all rushed out to rescue him and saw nobody. The day he was killed, no one came to his rescue after he raised alarm. The villagers all looked at him as a false alarmist!

Nigerians who use the Internet, felt bad after reading that Linda Ikeji’s site was shut down by Google, the internet giant. It was widely reported that Google suspended her site for plagiarism, today, this writer can tell you such thing never happened. Who then raised this false alarm?

Linda’s site was registered in July 2007 a month after Ayedee-mukhtar alexander dan’iyan’ s site was registered. While mukhtar alexander dan’iyan- AyeDee’s site ranked 500.000 globally, Linda Ikeji’s site ranked a little under 2,000 globally. How is it possible that the new man being referred to as an Internet guru has only 4 site linking, Linda who has no clue of the dynamics of the web has over 2000 Site links?

On Aye Dee’s site, he writes-

“Who are We? …5Past8 MEDIA GROUP owns and operates hundreds of websites.

Since inception in 2006, millions of unique visitors have visited, and continue to visit our diverse properties.

Covering, news, science, finance, technology, scandal, entertainment and so much more, if people are talking about it and looking for it, we’ve probably got it covered.

Each article on every site is carefully curated or created by a human being, thus allowing us to have highly engaging and deeply meaningful interaction with our audience.

Safe to say, at any given moment, tons of people all over the world are visiting our properties, shouldn’t you have your message in front of them?-5Past8 MEDIA GROUP…

His site has only 5 links Icon. Two of the links are the same. Every web master out there will tell you that 3Past8 Media is a scam site. According to Alexa.com, the only 100 views this site got came in October after Linda Ikeji introduced AyeDee’s name to Nigerians. Unfortunately, Alexa.com analysis shows that Aye Dee’s site which was updated last in 2012 has a-

Bounce Rate of
27.40% -
Daily Pageviews per Visitor-
2.90 and time spent on site-
Daily Time on Site
1:52 .

Folks, there is no way anybody who technically understands the web would have such poor numbers.

Since 2007, Aye Dee bought a web template from Heat Map, due to the fact that he has no clue on how to configure that template, he did not update it . Aye Dee also claims on that site that he has many hundreds of other sites. 9jalife.com which he registered in 2009, ranked almost 600.000 -globally and in the US, almost 2million! Obviously for those of us who use Dreamweaver to code templates, I can tell you again, the man is clueless when it comes to how to build, design and code a website. So, how did Linda Ikeji’s site became suspended?

Ayedee could not accuse Linda Ikeji of plagiarism when on the other hand, every content he tweets are other people’s contents. The Russians and Ukrainians are very good at Hacking people’s site, Aye Dee has friends who are internet hackers. It is very easy for them to bring a site down. It is a matter of sending malicious traffic to a non secured site, it will temporary shut a site down.

Mukthar Alexander Dan’iyan, alias Aye Dee’s colluded with Linda Ikeji to take her site offline temporarily. Linda Ikeji might pride herself as the queen of Junk journalism in Nigeria, this writer can say without any shadow of a doubt that she is an ignoramus. Through how she handled this whole crises and her ostentatious display of wealth which is very unusual for an Igbo Lady-her lies that Range Rover Envoque was bought for $145k when the original price of this car is $45k, leaves me with no choice than to affirm her lack of finesse, truth, class and honesty as a blogger.

All the documents Aye Dee presented to the press purported to come from Google are all fake. According to his wife, Liz Dan’Iyan who spoke to this writer from California, says ‘ Aye Dee is a master forger’. All the documents he posted online were forged! His wife told NigerianFM that the man she married in 2001 is ‘an internet rat, he is not an internet guru or Middle east expert’ as he tells people. Please listen to the audio tape of my interview with her.

For Linda Ikeji, Over the last six months, her site, has been on steady decline on page views .
As at now,

her site’s bounce rate has 38:90%, 14% down versus the last 3months. Daily Page per visits is 3.49%, 11 percent increase from the last 3 months. Daily time on Linda’s site is 7.41% a 2% spike versus the last 3 months.

Rumor Alert: No Ebola in Nigeria

EbolaAlert is Nigeria's official Alert platform for Ebola in Nigeria. We found a fast spreading false rumor of Ebola cases in Nigeria. The rumor was initiated by an irresponsible blogger who lied that there are cases of Ebola in Nigeria just to generate traffic to her website.

In order to prevent what happened during the Ebola outbreak where people were told to drink salt water and some ended up losing their lives, we are doing this to let you know ahead of this rumor and to also tell your friends and neighbors. The rumor is false, there is no known case of Ebola in Nigeria.

WHO in partnership with the Nigerian Center for Disease Control and the Lagos State Ministry of Health have trained hospitals across Lagos and other parts of the country on how to report any suspect case of Ebola. We will be one of the first to know if there is Ebola in Nigeria and be sure we will notify Nigerians through official and appropriate channels.

Kindly follow @EbolaAlert on Twitter and like EbolaAlert on Facebook for regular updates and inquiry on Ebola around the world. You can also subscribe for daily updates with below.

Kindly help broadcast this as far as possible. Thank you

It was a hard slug which resulted in both real and virtual (human) casualties, because the ruling party never adopted any sense of fair play.

To the progressives on these boards, who took on a well-oiled social media machinery - with limitless access to funds derived from our commonwealth - I doff my cap. It was not an easy battle. And it was common knowledge that the scales were tilted in favour of renegades who wore various appellations (TANoids, 'Hope For Nigeria',...etc) by forum arbitrators whose impartiality was... cool

Although I walked away at one point, in order to advance the struggle for actualization elsewhere, with the avalanche of negative propaganda which the opposition party faced, I was forced to do a re-think. Like other progressives who posted above, I also embraced the more combative and, unarguably, adversarial approach that the battle for Nigeria's political centre-ground became. In the fullness of time, I hope those on the other side of the fence; who turned a 'battle of ideas' into an into acrimonious engagement of wits, would be sufficiently chastened to reflect on the errors of their ways. grin
