The rate of broken homes here in the west is alarming.
So many kids grow up to be dysfunctional cos they don't usually grow up with both parents. Either the father absconded, or the mother did or they both did!
I have many friends like that and believe me it really affected their attitude towards life and people.
This needs to be checked asap cos it's still the people that will bear the consequences of it all...
Criminals are found everywhere in Nigeria so I don't understand all this tribal shiit going on here...

Ladies want to learn from their mistakes so allow her...
All those things you listed are inconsequential if her heart belongs to another cos a woman can be with a man, have all her children for same man and in fact grow old with a man they are not happy with just because they were denied the opportunity to make their decision about who they desire to marry.
Hope you learn Mr Methuselah. And you suddenly started talking about her heart belonging to someone else, that's not what we were talking about. Whatever rocks your boat dude, and to be sure, there are many 50 year olds out there who don't even know anything about how the mind of a woman works. You, my friend, obviously don't know how a woman's mind works... Just stick to your freedom nonsense and watch your relationships crumble like a pack of cards... |

I have experienced a aituation when a lady told me she can't date me cos I won't be able treat her the way she wants. Meanwhile she always respected her ex that beats her and shouts at her at any radius before she listens I mentioned clearly that they need to be cautioned when they err. It's up to you to know the way she likes to be cautioned... What every human wants cannot possibly be known but I don't think there's much more to add to those things I listed earlier on. OP, first, your view shows you to be a young lad, prolly in his late teens or early twenties.
When you've become more experienced in dealing with women, you'll understand that all a woman needs is to be treated like a child; really listen to her, show her love and care, caution her when she errs, buy her gifts, make her grow, shower her with attention, and very importantly provide for her and make her believe strongly in you and look up to you... then make sure your bedroom skills are top notch.

obailala: Wonderful, an INTELLIGENT MIND that thinks a drop in price of oil can cause a recession but he doesn't think an over 40% drop in volume of the only product Nigeria sells has any bearing whatsoever on the economy. Clap for yourself young man, you are indeed very intelligent. For the very last time listen up: https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/the-recession-caused-by-low-oil-prices-1452211556?client=ms-android-hms-tmobile-ushttps://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/35345874?client=ms-android-hms-tmobile-usNow go through those two articles. Venezuela doesn't have militants bombing their oil installations. Russia doesn't. Neither does Azerbaijan or Saudi Arabia. These countries were badly hit also by the fall in oil prices and some of them are even in worse shape than Nigeria. The same falling oil prices is affecting world economic growth and may even cause a global recession if not handled properly. In world history, this is the first time that low oil prices have threatened the global economy. Militants or not, Nigeria would have gone into recession, more especially as we have a dunderhead who thinks he knows it all as president. Inconsistency in fiscal, monetary and other policies which caused avoidable capital flight is another key issue peculiar to Nigeria's case. If you like learn if you like don't. I expect you to come up with some other nonsense as a zombie but I won't reply you again. Just open your mind and learn and stop being a ridiculous oaf. Enough said... |

obailala: From an average production of 2.2million barrels/day to less than 1.3 million barrels daily, that's an over 40% reduction in export volume for a country that makes 92% of its forex earnings from oil sale; and here we have a person who genuinely thinks he is smart telling us authoritatively that a 40% reduction is insignificant, rather he thinks a late appointment of ministers a bigger factor than an over 40% loss in sales made by the country.... And this is the sort of reasoning level one has to contend with everyday on Nairaland.

Why do the have kannywood instead of being in nollywood? The main reason why this terrorism has festered is simply because they have accomplices everywhere.

LaClicKLaBenDin: Government of bias and lawlessness. Why am I not surprised? Of course I was in Zaria when the massacre took place last year; if they could kill armless minors in their hundreds, what's detention?
I was staying in a street beside the Shias, they were murdered in cold blood, and soldiers went as far as doing a house to house search in all the surrounding neighborhoods and killed the ones found hiding. We were driven out of our estate for 3days, we slept in churches. The corpses I saw in one of the trucks was more than 600 people but the official figures says over 300.

obailala: - Nigeria gets 92% of its forex earnings from sale of crude; over-reliance on one volatile commodity - The price of crude drops from an average of $100/barrel to less than $50/barrel - The average volume of crude Nigeria sells drops from about 2.2 million barrels to less than 1.3 million barrels daily courtesy of bombings.
One doesn't need more than COMMON SENSE to understand that an economic crisis can be caused by a COMBINATION of factors and the primary factors in the Nigerian scenario have been pointed out above. But obviously common sense isn't so common due to flimsy sentimental reasons so therefore this simple logic is too difficult for certain people (even educated ones) to understand. Hence my last comment that it is needless and a total waste of time arguing with certain kind of people. To answer all your long story, are oil installations being bombed in Venezuela? Or Saudi Arabia? Did these bombings start today? We experienced worse during Obj's time and even Yaradua before he gave them amnesty. Now to be clear, the recession was caused by a combination of factors no doubt, but bombing of oil installations is the least of them. Let me give you the major factors here: 1. The fall in oil prices, the major culprit. 2. PMB's slowness and dullness. His failure to appoint ministers after 6 months was a very big clog in our economy. This caused many things in the economy to come to a standstill. 3. Policy somersaults and inconsistency, and this is a major reason why there was serious capital flight out of Nigeria. When investors know that your policies are not clear cut and volatile, then they pull out their funds, foreign investors that is. 4. Incompetence on the part of the economic handlers. 5. The president's failure to allow the naira find its level in the market for over 1 year. Do you have any idea how much this hurt our economy especially as it encouraged round tripping in the forex market. This alone made the value of the Naira sink to abysmal levels and this is another major factor. You are the sentimental one here incapable of looking at things objectively. Your love for god buhari has rendered you a zombie, always ready to believe any lies thrown out there once it's in your god's favour. Are the bombings also responsible for the negative growth in our non oil sector? Are they responsible for the massive job losses in the last one year, of which most companies cited unfavourable govt policies, and Filip in cost of doing business, and so on, as reasons for slashing jobs. Young man, bombings are the very last and least reason, whether in combination or not, that we are in deep poo today. The above-mentioned reasons are the major culprit. And for your information, it takes much more than COMMON SENSE to understand economic issues and issues about recession. It's simpletons like you who think it's we are in this mess cos militants reduced our exports of oil whose price is low. Or maybe you're just making sure that your god is absolved in the matter. No, it's much more than that. Buhari himself was a major catalyst, much more major than militants. Go figure... Enough said... |
