Politics / Re: What Might Happen To Nigeria Currency After Subsidy Removal? by thesolutions(m): 12:59pm On Apr 18, 2023
CodeTemplar:

Subsidy is not a fraud. The frauds are the people who could block the border against food smugglers but allow petrol smuggles to go through. Before you reply with an epistle, read about welfare schemes in more advanced nations.
I understand welfare are for the less privileged. But Welfare by Nigerian Government is still avenue for fraud because like d'banj, it is redirected to benefit the rich and not get to the poor.

I understand your plight about subsidized product being smuggled out. The solution is not to continuing in the same process that breeds corruption because Nigerians will find a way. So, removal is the only solution but it can only be effective when an actual government that is people oriented is given the mantle to lead. When this is done, instead of smuggling the product, we can actually sell to them in an open border system where we use common currency to buy what we have need of from our neighbouring countries. When we become a working and producing nation, we can go ahead and subsidize not just for us but for our neighbours so they won't be spending their forex outside africa. That should be the dream.

Looking at how subsidy removal may cause hyper-inflation what is the possibility of those lesser Nigerian currency surviving because fuel at almost 750/litres may aswell wipe out #20 downward. This subsidy of a thing is getting real.
Imagine life after subsidy removal.
Subsidy is fraud against the poor and you are yet to see it. How many poor people have vehicles. The only thing that affects the poor from subsidy removal is relative increase in transport fare and foodstuffs that are not local to migrated poor.

I really consider your scare monger about subsidy removal as a threat to Nigerians against supporting the removal of subsidy which I see as politically motivated.

Our major concern should be to establish a working government that is working for every cadre of individual in the society.

A government working on actually subsidizing transportation for the poor and not creating more amenities for the rich while the poor are driven away from the city because of high cost of living brought by their developmental agenda that is focused on beautiful cities rather than beautiful people.

A government that is focused on investing hugely in refineries and actually running it effectively as an enterprise and not a civil service oriented business. A workforce that is more concerned about their beauties and official outlook can hardy give all it takes to establish a working enterprise.

A government that is out for business. It annoys me to hear that governments do not run businesses. Nigeria government needs to be starved of taxes and duties so they know what leadership is all about. How can an unproductive government lead a productive nation. We should have government owned industries in fabrications, constructions and processing, working efficiently to solve both national and economic problems.

We need much more from an effective government. But every government that has come are only working borrowed template from countries whose challenges are different from ours.

Happy Sunday people
It's funny to me myself that I'm here to rant about Biros, but really this is coming from a place of frustration. Do you all know how annoying it is to spend money on Biros almost every two days??! Biros these days are just absolutely terrible. You buy a new shiny biro, Avanti and co.. some with strange names sef, use it for one day and the next day, this apparently full inked biro is unconscious.
I don't understand, my purse is always filled with new and dead Biros, lol.
It wasn't until I had to borrow a Biro in a test I decided I was done. I sought out Bic, I remembered using it briefly in secondary school and I also did a mini impromptu campaign for them when they visited my school then, being the SP, I found myself campaigning for a Biro I never even used, I was given some afterwards and I used it well.
Now I'm back to Bic, and you guys, this is the second week now and here I am still writing with my beloved Biro. Goodbye to fake Biros. Lol
Bic, so good they had to fake it. If you have gotten original bic, you have no worries. Only that the flow of ink becomes heavy when the ink has gotten to the mid region. Bic still the best but expensive.

1. So, you are not at all interested in spreading the Truth of God. Your focus is instead on pacifying the crowd with disinformation as is the way with your many daddies and mommies. Ok. lipsrsealed
Truth of God? Or you intend to say Knowledge of God. You also said pacify the crowd as if Christendom is agitating for something.

Because you do not believe in the miraculous, hearing that by just believing that someone else is faithful can change your situations will always provoke your thought about such believe. When He said 'by his stripes, we were healed', does it sound truth of God by your postulation? He is the truth of God. What his followers believe they can get in Him, they shall get. It is not by how faithful they have been, but by how faithful he is.

Feel free to compare what God said of Abraham's expression of faith and what this devotional is attempting to make you believe. Both of them cannot be true. undecided
If I want the audience to read what God said of Abraham's expression of faith, I will probably quote the scripture you put up. But the audience I intended the post for understands what the devotional was about and are glad to read it and say 'Yes Daddy', 'Thank you Daddy'. If that devotional doesn't gladden your heart, you are probably carrying a different seed of Knowledge that is mixed with hate and you know that is probably not of God because God is Love. We do not compare God to anything or with anything.

Some years ago, the wife of one of my key leaders was diagnosed with a cyst in her womb that the doctors said had to be removed by surgery. She was told they might even have to remove her whole womb. Of course, this couple was very affected by the news. I met with them to pray with them and to partake of the holy Communion.

Honestly, I didn’t feel any faith when I prayed for them. In fact, I felt quite helpless. But I heard the Lord telling me to rest. I heard Him telling me not to even try to use faith and to simply rest in His faith. So I simply said, “Growth, I curse you to your roots in Jesus’ name. Be plucked out by your roots and be thrown into the sea.” At the same time, I also prayed the Lord would cause her youth to be renewed like the eagle’s.

A few days later, she had a final scan before her surgery. And guess what? Her gynecologist said the whole growth had simply disappeared and that it was a miracle! But the Lord didn’t stop there. Her monthly period had actually stopped for some time, but soon after I prayed for her, it returned. The Lord had renewed her womb and her youth. Hallelujah!

I felt no faith when I prayed for her, but her healing was not dependent on what I felt about my faith. Don’t look at your own faith and think, I don’t have enough faith for the breakthrough I need. Faith is nothing more than looking to Jesus.

There were only two individuals in the Gospels whom Jesus described as having “great faith”: the centurion who believed Jesus only had to speak a word and his servant at home would be healed (Matt. 8:5–13) and the Syro-Phoenician woman to whom Jesus said, “O woman, great is your faith!” (Matt. 15:21–28).

And neither of them was conscious of their own faith.

Do you want to know what they were conscious of? They were conscious of Jesus. They saw Him as the One who was faithful and powerful. They had a great estimation of His grace and goodness. And as they saw Him in His grace, He saw them in their faith!

Don’t worry about whether or not you have enough faith. Just look to Jesus. Spend time in His presence. Watch or listen to sermons that are full of Jesus. When you touch Jesus, you touch faith because He is the author and finisher of faith (Heb. 12:2). The Bible declares He is faithful, and He will not allow you to go through more than what you can bear (1 Cor. 10:13). He will carry you through.

This devotional is taken from the book The Healing Power of the Holy Communion—A 90-Day Devotional.

Politics / Re: Chimamanda Adichie: A Slave In Love With Her Chains by thesolutions(m): 12:05pm On Apr 07, 2023
People going through Stockholm syndrome will always defend their captors with violence and threats of it should any force try to save them from their slave masters. This could be true about Chimamanda Adichie or maybe she is the free one being persecuted by the OP for trying to save him from his slave masters.

Chinua Achebe wrote his piece as he was convinced without any inducement but people who are in the dark about their identity or perhaps, the identity of their hero, were quick to oppose his works. Now, another Author, Chimamanda Adichie, she wrote a letter, not a book, and same people from the camp that where in disquiet about the book wrote by Chinua Achebe, still consider it an attack on their hero and won't be slow to bring both her foreign heritage and her local origin into their defense of their hero, who, they themselves, without sentiments, wished was not the one on the ballot.

I still wonder who really is in chains.

For every action, there would be a corresponding reaction and countereaction. In essence, I don't like the idea that "feel good" stories be limited to foreign novels alone.

This "feel good" is why romance and fantasy novels sell better. Having a sad ending used to be a norm in our classic novels and I feel that's we see it as the Africanness in our stories. I don't feel it should be.
If you had written the piece and it ends with such happy ending, it is understandable because you thought it out. But an AI that made use of an African Names in a foreign story will always have my bias opinion because happy endings are for African warriors if you put sentiments aside.

MrBrownJay1:
it is very easy, even to the untrained eye, to differentiate between organ harvesting for transplant AND toto and breast removal for ritual.
What you do not understand is that these harvesting are done by professionals while the private parts are mutilated or removed to make it appear as a ritual killing which they have already programmed the minds of Nigerians to believe. Everything is all about the organs harvested while the public are left with the debate of the victim being a prostitute used for money ritual.

The organs here are not the mainly the external organs but the internal organs like the heart, kidney, liver and any other useful internal organs.

Crime / Missing Body Parts: Money Ritual Or Organized Crime Of Organ Harvesting. by thesolutions(m): 9:28am On Mar 24, 2023
Nollywood has done a great damage to program the psyche of Nigerians to think that any death associated with missing body part is an act of money ritual while in the real sense, it is an organized crime of organ harvesting.

The stories of Missing private part being associated with money ritual can not easily be dismissed in the Nigeria because the perpetrators who are merchants of organ harvesting have become so wealthy to the extent of sponsoring the narrative of money ritual in both movie and media houses.

No one has gone further to check on the victims what was removed beyond the Brest and vagina. But these are windows to the heart and other body organs.

These Missing Body part is an organized crime which the medical doctors are big time players on.

My first call is to start investigating medical doctors with questionable wealth. They are chief organ harvesters who must be brought to book.

Secondly, The narrative need to be changed.

Politics / CBN Should Not Wait Till After Election To Disburse The New Notes by thesolutions(m): 12:25pm On Mar 11, 2023
After my careful observation of the next line of action by Politicians and Bandits, I have come to the realization that the Naira redesign policy has been subdued by these politicians/Bandits. This is because the greed of most business owners are insatiable and they are eager to mop up these cash for the politicians/Bandits.

Here in Jos, some petty/black market petrol stations have been supplied with PMS/Fuel to sell to the public at a very cheap rate by either politicians or bandit ring leaders who in turn remit the physical cash to their benefactor. These stations sell fuel for as low as 220 Naira per liter but strictly to people with cash.

While a lot of people are happily queuing up for the product at these stations, the cash supply to in the economy are being eroded back into the politicians/Bandits making the cash crunch more severe.

Other business owners are not left behind. Some took extra step to make managers of their business to sign undertaken against giving cash to the public while they stock up the cash to these politicians at a rate of between 100,000 to 200,000 for every One Million Naira. This is the spirit of corruption in Nigeria and it is difficult to tame at the moment.

My argument is that Nigerians are suffering and I know this suffering would have been over by now should the election had held today. But another one week of this suffering should not be endured by Nigerians so the CBN should not extend the date for disbursement of the next batch of the new Notes.

CBN tried to change Nigeria but Nigerians need to be alive to see the change.
This step failed to some great extent at the expense of the masses.

Scripted. My thought though. Nigerians are quiet especially the Christendom because of revelations circulated on social media as prophesy. everyone is waiting for that to play out so they can ascribe it to God. But they are not foreseeing the chance of deliberate attempt to mock God should the prophesy not happen as declared.

Looking at the outcome of this election. We know allot of nigerians ain't happy about it. But we really can't change what is odained, exept via violence (which is not a healthy way to get things right).

Considering nigeria as a two religion country. We both prayed and hoped for a leader that will take us to greater heights. But we didn't get what we hoped for(but i'll consider we got what we prayed for).

We needed a leader base on past experience(which is a good analysis) but we should also embrace what could happen in the future(things and people can change) so we prayed and hopefully our prayers is answered(i consider), so i'll advice that we embrace these situation and give the elected president(though there are alleged rigging which i didn't confirm in my position) a chance to surface his strategies as well.

AM ALSO OBEDIENT BUT WE NEED TO LET KARMA WORK IT SELF.
First of all, you are not obedient. The bold statement confirmed that.
Secondly, a reverse psychology is a synonymous to the northern kind of politics. It is only a northerner that can ask you to let karma handle things or even advice you to pray because they do not believe in prayers. So you are not a Yoruba but a northerner.
Thirdly, Nigeria is an auto pilot country that is rigged against the Igbos. Every little agitation will be hanged on the Igbos so the Igbos knows well to be silent and watch the body language of others.
Finally, it is only guilt that can push for this kind of disguised public apology.

I knew this result will be rigged. So I am not surprised at all.
It is obvious also that you are expectant of violent reaction by this comment " But we really can't change what is odained, exept via violence (which is not a healthy way to get things right)." but the people your group think they are oppressing had endured more pain than election defeat by rigging.
