Focus on Odumegwu Ojukwu. I have tried to magnify his wealth so it won't look like he defrauded his people by collecting their money and gave them piece of paper because of poverty yet you are trying to be book clever by focusing more on how wealthy his father was. We have read all those and how his father provided the queen with carriage vehicle. So does that solve the issue that biafrans that converted their currency to the piece of paper Ojukwu issued was never refunded when the war was over. Nigeria is not a people but a country. it is a name given to our region by our colonial master. They could name us anything because we were conquered without a fight.

Ojukwu had every opportunity to accept international support in exchange for crude oil to win the war but he declined. This is one of the reasons he is held in high esteem. He said the war was not about crude oil.

Go and read about Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, he is from a very wealthy family.
As at the time of the war, his father Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu was the richest man in Nigeria. So stop typing nonsense about Ojukwu taking anything from anyone.

The name Biafra was derived from the Bight of Biafra... a recognized geographical term long before the civil war. Nations are not required to bear names in a local dialect to have legitimacy. Many countries across the world have names that predate their modern ethnic compositions.

Who made Biafra sovereign entity? Was there any UN resolution or AU resolution that recognized it as a sovereign entity and also recognize the currency Ojukwu printed? Can you exchange the currency at the border with any African currency at the border? So your claim of sovereign entity is false.
Biafra was never derived from bight of Biafra. Bight of Biafra covers several countries and it will be rascality for Ojukwu to claim that name for his imaginary nation.
Biafra, just as Nnamdi kanu has told you came from the name of his village Afara in Umuahia where Ojukwu bunker is located. Biafra came from distortion of the Igbo phrase Bia Afara meaning come to Afara where he hid to build his fortress. If you don't believe this, then you should be cursing Nnamdi kanu for distorting the origin of the name.

I still remember the corn we plant that year.

Dollar doesn't rise or fall. It's the demand for it that rises and falls which determine it value.

In most countries where dollar crashed, they use dollar mostly for tourism. But because of current US policies on immigration, tourism is limited making demand to be far below the supply. That is making people to request for lower amount to offload the excess dollar in their possession.

But in Nigeria, Demand for dollars varies. It's for goods importation, for equipment importation, for Hajj and other pilgrimage, for vote buying, for tourism, and for holding to sell at a higher rate.
Supply can never exceed demand in Nigeria making it impossible for it to crash.

If it dare crash, everyone will be trooping to different embassies to leave this country for our politicians.

There are several refineries currently being built by private individuals. They are not getting the type of support dangote got.
NNPC has proven they can not manage our refineries. So that is not an option.
Before dangote refinery, we have been importing fuel. If dangote refinery prove not to be a solution to this importation, we are not supposed to wound ourselves supporting it.
The government has made sacrifices so that dangote can help the economy but he is becoming a challenge rather than solution.
How can he compete with international refinery when his price at local market that has no logistics cost, security cost, custom duties and tariffs be the same as prices if same product were to be imported while bearing those charges.
Definitely not right.

Again, foreign refineries are not getting those benefits as he is getting yet their products is only affected by naira to dollar conversion rate.
There is no private company that gets benefits from government like dangote has received yet we can not overcome this constant stories and competition that only arizes when marketers complain about the price of dangote products in relation to importation.

He is more concerned about the profits of marketers than the price of the product.
He gives discount to those that buys more quantity and limit the number of marketers that can access the product from his refinery by his minimum quantity order rule..
Those who paid for 5 million liters just before his price went from 699 to 799 received only about 4.4 million liters. That is one disadvantage that can only happen in Nigeria. I can't place an order online and they withhold the product because of price adjustment.

There is no reason to defend him for now.

Dangote is the first indigenous refinery in Nigeria. I don't see how this makes sense.
I have not seen where government has made such moves on any other local or foreign companies. I would like to be educated if you have them or any.
Talking about investors, are you talking about national companies like BUA, RANO, and few others with known progress in private refinery building in Nigeria or foreigners who have not taken the bold step to build any refinery for over sixty years of independence?
Foreigners will only go where there are either surplus flow of Foreign exchange or where mineral resources that they can trade in abound and is accessible without security risk.
So what most countries are looking for is transfer of knowledge to grow or produce items locally rather than import.

But if any local company decide to deride the government that has given it everything, it should be regulated stiffly.

What will help our balance of trade is killing of every form of importation, and increasing local production of everything, if possible. We need to put an end to every form of importation of petroleum products while supporting more local refineries to come on board. All these people who want to be importing petroleum products should pull funds together and build their own refineries, or forget about the business. We need to protect Dangote refinery and other local refineries because that is the right thing to do for job creation, increased FX inflows, stronger naira etc.

First, this is a private refinery built for profit like every other refinery.
Being located in Nigeria, it is expected to be cheaper than imported product by a wide margin because no logistics cost, no security cost, no landing cost, no tariffs. How is it so expensive to be competing with imported products with those costs factored in in the imported product. That is not right.

Do you think other foreign refineries that Nigerian marketer import from do not pay these tariffs and still makes profit?

He has everything free because of government ineptitude to run our refineries. Now he is oppressing the government who forfeited the fx they are getting from sales of crude oil so he can compete with the world refineries.

If he is exporting to other countries at the current price, if they factor in logistics cost, security cost, landing cost and tariffs, will any country be able to buy his product?

It's time he learn humility.

It's time for government to place high tariffs on export of Petroleum products by dangote while using it to subsidize import and cutting off completely naira for crude sales by NNPC.
