Education / Re: Seeking Advice On A Saving Plan That Can Remain Untouched For A Full Year by thesolutions(m): 7:50am On Jun 07, 2023
FarukuWadata12:

Dear Nairalanders,

I humbly ask for your guidance on a saving plan that can help me resist the urge to misuse money. I'm looking for a method to gradually save any amount, no matter how small, over at least one year without the ability to withdraw or spend the saved funds. I hope my request is clear.

I seek a savings strategy that will allow me to save money solely for saving, ensuring it remains untouched for a year. I kindly request knowledgeable individuals to assist me in finding a suitable solution.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
If the money is coming in in bits, you can get opay app and lodge the money in fix deposit. as they arrive. but if it is in bulk, you can buy federal government bond. You will receive interest in both.

1. In Daniel 9 vs 24 - 27, God explained that there would be a seal on all Old Covenant prophets and visions(prophecies) approximately 500 years later. In Joel 2 vs 31, we were informed that in the last days, the sons and daughters of Israel would prophesy. When Jesus Christ arrived, He informed you that John the Baptist was the last of the Old Covenant Prophets. The same Jesus Christ later indicated that the last days were indeed upon them as Jerusalem was to be reduced stone by stone during that same generation. In that same generation, Peter, on the day of Pentecost revealed that indeed the last days were already upon them as the sons and daughters of Israel prophesied to mark the end — God's judgment against those of His Old Law. This all took place almost 1900 years ago. undecided

So, you can imagine, how, when you now throw Nehman's dream at me 1900 years later to suggest that the same Old Law which was sealed off by God over 1900 years ago is still active, I am caused to wonder if you are in fact telling me that God failed at sealing all that pertained of the Old Law. undecided

2. Jonah was of God's Old Covenant. The Old Covenant and all related to it was sealed off by God about 1900 years ago in fulfillment of prophecies told to you even by Jonah.

3. In the New Covenant, Jesus Christ made clear by way of His Gospel which is the Constitutional Law in the Kingdom of God that the Spirit of Truth — the Holy Spirit — will only give revelations regarding Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, nothing else. You can read this for yourself in John 14 vs 15 - 26 & John 15 vs 26 - 27 & John 16 vs 4 - 16. The following is a summary of what Jesus Christ said in those passages.
In the era of the New Covenant, there are no private readings, dream interpretations/soothsaying. None of that applies as far as Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God are concerned. Jesus Christ warned you of those who will come to you using his name to prophesy - Matthew 7 vs 15 - 23. undecided

So, this isn't about judging what prophecies are right or wrong, but letting you know two things:
■ Every prophecy that pretends to be according to Old Covenant is not of God. Such a prophecy claims God failed to seal all that pertains to His Old Law almost 1900 years ago.
■ Every prophecy that pretends to be of Jesus Christ but does not abide by the rule as set by Jesus Christ Himself which is that it is of Him and His own Kingdom, is also not of Jesus Christ.

You hold the book as facts and refuse to accept reality. There was a prophet called Agabus. He was after around After John the baptist. The same prophesied about Paul captivity. There was John. His book of prophesy known as revelation came to be after John the baptist. was his prophesy still of your definition of new covenant of prophesy after the old covenant era that ended with John the baptist.
The era we are in has gifted many with divers gift of predicting the future. some others use scientific instruments while others use orthodox meditation approach. If they chose to attribute their finding to God, it is not in your power to discredit their claim because you yourself do not believe in what they call their God. If Paul can say that because he was found faithful, his words can be spoken as scriptures by God Approval. So why are you disputing peoples claim to prophesying. You definitely not an Israelite. so why oppose those who believe they are.
Politics / Subsidy Or Administrative Fraud? by thesolutions(m): 5:58pm On May 29, 2023
The subsidy regime did put the government under pressure as the thought of where to get the next 50 Billion for the next day payment keep raging in their mind.

But what really made subsidy a big deal if not administrative fraud and special waivers to some group called major marketers.

In this same subsidy regime, the commodity that are subsidized were still sold under an exorbitant amount because government institutions focus more on revenue rather than productivity.

For instance, the rigors of obtaining a license for a petrol station requires just a small amount. But to get the institution approve your station for licensing, you have to settle different administrative heads and departments of government institutions as well as field officers sent to carry out inspections. This is one fraud that has persisted for years making it appear as if there is monopoly in petrol station business.

The next Administrative fraud is issue of Major Marketers. While seeking for effective management of the Oil sector, The Government institution designate some petroleum product marketers as major marketers. These major marketers has to go through the rigors of licensing also. But it is near impossible for ordinary business owners without government backing. This group constitute the channel through which the nation experience leakage in the quantity of consumption daily. The first culprit is NNPCL itself. Nearly 70%(Assumption) of product allocated to NNPCl Mega Stations and other Major Marketers ends up with Black marketers and across the border. This is why it is rare for any black marketer station to lack products during scarcity. This is because the said products are diverted by administrative heads who were to receive the product and sell at government approved prices but ends up selling at a higher price to outsider or probably their own private station that they operate as a black market and end up inflating the price beyond normal to personal gain. These are the people bleeding the national purse during the subsidy regime.

The next are the fraudsters. Some years back in Portharcourt, Marketers (Major Marketers) will come in with their consignment for subsidy claim but they end up collecting the subsidy claim for one ship consignment three to four times. This is because they head back to the sea with the ship and modify the ship and return for another subsidy claim. These were the fraudsters of that era. But NNPC did stop this fraud by licensing ships that brings in consignment. But has the fraud stopped? NNPC became the sole importer of petrol and this gave birth to arbitrary consignments. They just operate the Arbitrary consignment like CBN operated the dollar. No need for any transactions. Just approve the subsidy claim and collect the difference.

Your so-called political prophecies have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ who instead made known to you that the Kingdom of God over which He is King and Judge over is not even of this world. He assured you of this when He said that His Holy Spirit who is the same Spirit of Truth that lived exists inside of Jesus Christ from His birth will only give to you revelations that have only to do with Him and His Kingdom alone since the Spirit of Truth is subject to Jesus Christ. And since Jesus Christ was sent by God to only the Lost sheep of Israel, it follows that revelations that are given by Him are also only given to those who are of the blood of Jacob. undecided

You deceive your ownselves when you allow the very ones Jesus Christ pointed out were false teachers and false prophets who would use his name to prophesy and to do signs and wonders which are not of him--- Jesus Christ said no signs and wonders will be given to you or anyone else--- to delude you with their lies regarding how what they do is of Jesus Christ. undecided
If you had read through, you would have seen my first stance as seeing the said prophecies as being political tool. My opinion though. But you seek to attack Christians because you heard prophecies.
Nehman had a dream about meeting a man that will cure his leprosy. It came to pass. He was not an Israelite. Pharaoh had dreams and they came to pass. He was not an Israelite. So if prophecies must be about Jesus and the Israelites, we won't be having prophecies from TB Joshua coming to fulfilment.
Genuine prophecies can be stopped. Jonah is an example. He complained to God when he forgave the Ninivites after they repented when they head the prophecy even though they were affected years later when they fall back to their sins. You are not the judge of which are true prophecies and which are not. Who saw what knows what he saw and you can not change that. Your comments are your assumptions just like any others'

While I maintain my earlier stance about the prophesies being political tool to keep the Christians tied to hope of a supernatural turnaround and curtail any insurgent by those that disagree with the fraud INEC perpetrated, It is also worthy of Note that the world power will not allow such outspoken prophesy to come to pass just like they attempted such on the birth of Jesus. The world weight is behind the inauguration but many of them won't be directly involved so as not to be seen as meddling.

Without those prophesy, Nigerians would have flung on INEC the moment they notice an alteration on results of some poling units and ensure the correct results were announced. But the prophesy made it appear that God is upto something.

Secondly, Peter Obi had no identity duplicate. It was all programmed. But if he is looking for evidence of identity duplicate, he will be given lots of it. He is found of looking for facts instead of reality. That is why his words are usually contested.

The only losers of this Election is the Minority Christians in the Northern State. They are the main reason Buhari wanted to carry out census to be sure that they are not upto 25% in those state so as to conduct a publicly perceived free and fair election while hopping that Obi won't get 25% in core northern states as the census figures would be provided as evidence should any one argue. But now that the polls has shown that there are a good number of Christians in those states, the more severe persecution will be seen to cut them shot while public show will be carried out in favour of the sycophant few for the media to see the government as being 'Friendly' to Christians. This I have not seen. Just reasoning.

There is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding in the world about who God is. His nature and character are often misunderstood. Here, we will examine a powerful biblical truth which should help us understand His character more clearly. This is the truth that God is light.

1 John 1:5

:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

We get to know God through the Word, and here in 1 John 1:5, we are told a very foundational fact about who He is.

Most Christians would agree with you if you said that God is light. It is generally not one of the issues that gets argued with and debated in the church like some other truths.

However, there are many issues that Christians are confused about and do argue about that could get solved if we would really understood what it means that God is light.
Live teaching
Knowing God is Light and understanding the depth of this truth are two different things.

There is so much truth in this principle that will strengthen and establish you in your faith in God and that can set people free from confusion and struggles. There are answers to issues the church has debated over for many years right here in this verse of scripture, contained within the truth that ‘God is Light and in Him is no darkness’, if only we would see what this phrase communicates to us.

You may not think right now that there are any great answers to areas people have struggled with in this phrase, but as you read these articles and see what the Bible has to say about this whole issue of light and darkness, you will understand why I say that.

We are going to look at this step-by-step but by the end of it, I hope you will be jumping up and down with excitement at the truth that God is light and there is not darkness in Him, as you see how powerful and liberating this truth is.
Light in the Bible

Light is a word which speaks so much in both natural and spiritual terms. It is used in the Bible to reveal many important truths that are relevant to the Christian life.

Light and life

Light is essential for life
It exposes things that could not be seen (Ephesians 5:13)
Light is connected to warmth
It helps guide people in the dark. To see where you are going you need light.

Jesus is spoken of as ‘The Light’ (John 1; 8:12, 9:5)
We are called ‘sons of light’ (John 16:8, Colossians 1:12, 1 Thessalonians 5:5).
Jesus said we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14)
We have been called out of darkness and into light (1 Peter 2:9), are told to walk in the light (John 12:35; 1 John 1:7), to walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:cool and to put on the armour of light (Romans 13:12)
The gospel is referred to as ‘the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ’ (2 Corinthians 4:4)
God’s Word is said to be a Light to our path (Psalm 119:105)
God brings light to our darkness (Psalm 18:28)

Light in the Bible refers to a number of things including revelation of truth, direction from God and understanding of the Word. It is used to refer to the things of God: His kingdom, His people, His ways and His Word.

On the other hand, the Bible speaks of the devil and his cohorts in terms of darkness.
Darkness in the Bible

Colossians 1:13 speaks of us being delivered from the power of darkness.
The way of the wicked is like darkness (Proverbs 4:19)
Darkness causes people to stumble and fall (Proverbs 4:19)
Darkness is connected to trouble and sorrow (Ecclesiastes 5:17, Isaiah 5:30; 8:22)
Darkness is a place of prison (Isaiah 42:7)
Darkness is connected to death

Because of what these words speak, ‘light’ really sums up all that is of God, while ‘darkness’ sums up all that is of the devil.

In the Bible, light is associated with good and dark is associated with bad or evil. Many people have understood this in connection to sin. They know that walking in sin is walking in darkness, but this principle is far broader than that.
Online Bible Courses
Light and Dark are opposites

Once again, the point I am about to make may seem elementary and obvious, but getting it established in our thinking right at the start of this article will help us as we progress.

Light and Dark are opposites. Like ‘dry’ and ‘wet’, they do not mix!

You cannot say I am so dry right now, but I am also wet! There are some phrases that do not mix together. You cannot be both at the same time. Light and Dark are like that. You can’t say, ‘Wow it is so light in here, but I can’t see anything because of the darkness!’ That statement is nonsense. It does not make any sense at all, because the two cannot and do not exist together in the same place at the same time. When the light comes on, the darkness goes away. Darkness can only exist in the absence of light.
There is NO Darkness In God

Notice the phrase from 1 John 1:5, ‘… in Him is no darkness at all…’

The Amplified Bible puts it this way: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way].

There is a note in the margin of the Amplified Bible which says that last phrase, ‘no, not in any way’ is the literal translation of that phrase. This is making a very clear and blunt point! It does not want to leave us with any uncertainty or confusion on the issue.
How much darkness is there in God?
There is no darkness in God at all, absolutely none in any way whatsoever!

This principle gives us a very foundational and fundamental truth about God. It tells us something about WHO He is and who He is not. It shows us what He is associated with and involved in and what He has nothing to do with.

So let’s think this through clearly:

Does God have a ‘dark side’ to his personality?
Are there aspects of God which are Dark?
Is there any way that God associates, teams up with or works with darkness?
Does He sometimes do dark things?
Is He a combination of good and bad, light and dark, good and evil?
Does God have a dark, naughty and evil side?

All of the above questions can be answered by understanding that God is Light, in Him there is no darkness at all.

No, God does not have a dark side, there are no aspects of him which are dark, He does not associate with darkness and He never does dark things! He is not a combination of light and dark. He is only light. There is no darkness in Him.

If we can identify anything as being of darkness, then we can know for sure that God has nothing to do with it because there is no darkness in Him.

This may be getting a little repetitive, but I want to drive home this point, as it will really set you free in your thinking. We need to understand that anytime we accuse God of bad, we are accusing Him of darkness, and we need to be very careful about claiming God is involved in something that He actually has nothing to do with.
The Bible makes it very clear that there are two sides to this.

There is the side of light and the side of darkness. They are not two parts of the same team!

Light and Darkness do not work together as team mates. They are separate spiritual kingdoms that do different things. In spiritual terms, they are sworn enemies and will never team up. They work completely contradictory to each other, and neither side helps the other. God is not team mates with the devil in your life. God does not work with the enemy ‘to perfect you’.

God’s Kingdom is the Kingdom of Light and there is no darkness in it. Darkness is of the enemy and anything associated with darkness is of the enemy.
Don’t accuse God of darkness

So we have it clear now: there is no darkness in God. This is a defining principle about God that makes it clear what is in Him and what is not. We better watch out what we accuse Him of. When we say things about God, are we accusing Him of darkness?

Be very careful about associating God with anything that is of darkness. If we do say that God is involved in anything that is of darkness, we are saying that He associates with darkness and has darkness in Him.
People who don’t know God accuse Him of darkness all the time.

Anytime we accuse God of bad, we accuse Him of darkness.

We need to get our definition and understanding of Him correct.
When people associate God with death and suffering, they are associating Him with darkness. If they could only see Him for who He really is as light.

It is such a shame when people misunderstand God and His character and accuse Him of making people sick or wanting them to suffer. These are things of darkness, so how could people claim that God is involved in them?
Let me ask it this way:

Is sin connected to darkness?
Most definitely yes! People who walk in sin are said to be walking in darkness.

Well, would God sin? Does God sin?
Does God associate with and team up with sin?

Any person who has the slightest bit of correct theology should easily know the answer to that question! God does not team up with sin. Sin is not of God and has nothing to do with God, because sin is of darkness.

Why is it that we can see so clearly and easily that God and sin do not go together, but when it comes to other things of darkness, we are not so convinced?

Sickness, death, poverty etc are all part of darkness, yet we associate them to God.

We ought to be just as repulsed when God is associated with sickness as we would be if He were associated with sin. People who think God is a mixture of good and evil don’t know Him at all. There is no darkness in Him at all, not even a tiny little bit in one corner of His personality. Oh that people would get the revelation that God is light.

We have so many muddled up ideas about our God.
We cross the boundaries between good and evil and we define it all as God

Guided by light

We look at sickness and suffering and think that God, the Healer is involved in them!

Even some preachers have this idea that ‘somewhere’ in God there is a little corner of darkness at least! They claim that He may be ‘mostly good’ but there is a bad / dark side to Him and that sometimes you see His ‘dark side’. They may not say it exactly like that, but what they do say carries that thought and implication.

That is so far from the Bible. There is no darkness in Him, so we had better be very aware of what we are claiming is Him, when the Bible says ‘that thing’ is darkness.

The truth that God is light is foundational in understanding His character.

In the first article we discussed the Biblical truth that God is light. We looked at how the Bible views light and darkness in terms of spiritual kingdoms and activities. Here we will build upon this and discuss how God separated the light from the darkness and how we need to do the same thing in our own belief systems.

In the beginning

In the first four verses of the opening chapter of the first book of the Bible (Genesis) you can get one of the biggest revelations the Bible has about God!

Right at the start of the Bible, God wastes no time at all in telling us that He has separated light from darkness. He wants us to understand this immediately, so that we do not get confused about it later.

Genesis 1:1-4
:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Live teaching

There are two very important points to see from verse 4:
1) God defined the light as ‘good’

Anyone who has read through the first chapter of Genesis will know that as God created, He would stop, look at what He had created and say, ‘it is good’.
In the beginning

In Genesis 1:10, God made the dry land and the seas and saw that they were good

Then, in Genesis 1:11-12 He made the trees, grass, vegetation etc and saw that it was good.

Right the way through Genesis 1, God creates something then defines it as ‘good’.

However, go back to Genesis 1:4 and notice that when God saw the light, He saw that it was ‘good’ but said no such thing about the darkness.
Light is good, Darkness is not good

Of all the things mentioned in Genesis 1, God never defined darkness as good. It is one thing that He never defined as good. Genesis does not say God saw that the light and darkness were ‘good’. No, He saw the ‘light’ and only called it good. God said nothing about darkness being good.

This is not a side thought or a minor issue. It is actually so important that it goes right to the core of many people’s theology, and if you are muddled on this point, you will be messed up and confused on many other points. If you can get this right, many other things will fall into place.

God saw that the light was good. He defined it that way right at the start and did not say the same about darkness.

This shows us that light is good and darkness is not. Also anything that is part of light and associated with light is good, and anything that is part of, connected to and associated with darkness is not good.

The Lord does not want us to be confused on this issue.

2) God separated (divided) the light from the darkness

The word translated ‘divided’ in Genesis 1:4 is the Hebrew, ‘badal’ meaning, ‘to divide, separate, distinguish, divide asunder, make separate

God divided (separated) light and dark. He split the two and said ‘light’ is on that side, ‘darkness’ is on the other side. He made a division between the light and the dark and He only defined one of them as good (light).

In other words He made a clear dividing line between what is light and what is dark, so that there would be no confusion. He did not leave them mixed, overlapping or muddled.

This shows that in God’s eyes, light and dark do not ‘overlap’ He has separated them, divided them, made a distinction between the two. He put light on one side, dark on the other. He then defined light as good, showing that everything that is on the ‘light side’ of the separation is good, and everything that is on the ‘dark side’ of the separation is not defined as good.

Spiritual light and darkness

There is a principle here that goes beyond just natural light and darkness. It shows us how the Bible views spiritual light and spiritual darkness. God separated them and only classed light as good.

He then told us that He is light (in other words on the good side of the line). He also told us that there is no darkness in him. (See the first article in this series on God is Light). This should be ample information for us to understand His character and nature.

He does not cross over the separation line between the two. He is only on one side of the separation and you will not find Him on the other side. You will never find Him crossing over into the areas of darkness, for any time, on any occasion, for anything!

This separation between light and dark is fundamental to God, and helps define what He does and what He does not do, what He is involved in and what He is not involved in.

If there is ever any question about God’s involvement in something, the way to decide is to separate the light from the darkness like He did.
How to understand God

Ask yourself, ‘what is light and what is darkness in all this’ Once you locate what is darkness, you know, ‘God has nothing to do with that. He is not behind it or involved in it in any way!’

Light = Life = good
Dark = Death = bad
It IS that simple.

Swapping Darkness and Light

Isaiah 5:20

:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Here God says, ‘WOE to those… who put darkness for light…’. In other words, those who swap them around and make them interchangeable.

Those who cross the boundary between the two and remove the dividing line that God placed between them. God wants us to understand that light and dark do not go together and they cannot be switched and substituted for each other.

What is good is good, don’t call it evil, and what is bad is bad, don’t call it good.

The same is so for darkness and light, don’t try to swap them around, and claim that God, who is light, does dark things. Light and dark do not mix, and God is light, so He does not mix with darkness.
Don’t confuse light and dark

Is God confused about the boundaries between good and bad, and between light and dark or is He quite clear in His own understanding what is what?

He defined the boundaries all the way back in Genesis 1, and He has never and will never cross them. He is light and only stays on the side of light.

Does He want us confused about what is good and what is evil?

God quite clearly shows us what is good and bad in connection to performance (morals, ethics), yet in other areas (healing, prosperity) people get all confused and claim we cannot know good and bad! God is not confused, man is! God knows exactly what is on the side of light and good, and He tells us in His Word.
Light and life; Darkness and Death

The Bible shows that light and life are associated, they are partners, and darkness and death are associated. Darkness has partnered up with death.

When we connect God to death, we are connecting Him to darkness. This is where we mess things up in our thinking.

Notice how the following scripture connects life and light:

John 1:4
:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Now notice how the following scriptures connect darkness and death:

Psalm 23:4
:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Shadows are associated with darkness. Here in Psalm 23 it talks about ‘the shadow of death’. Matthew also uses this phrase:

Matthew 4:16

:16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.”

Matthew talks about people who ‘sat in darkness’ and then refers saying they, ‘sat in the region and shadow of death’. He connects darkness and death. Those who sit in darkness are sitting in the realm of death.

The realm of darkness is the realm of death! Luke also shows this:

Luke 1:78-79
:78 Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Day-spring from on high has visited us;
:79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.”

According to these passages, God’s answer for those in darkness and death is light. Light brings life. Science has only recently discovered this, but God and the Bible have said it all along.

‘day-spring’ here speaks of sunrise, dawn. It is referring to Jesus, THE Light.
What happens when the sun rises?

The light comes.

There is life in the light. If we walk in the light, we will walk in life.
There is death in darkness. If we walk in darkness, we will walk in death and all that death has to offer!

So let us again think about the question we asked in the first article: Is there any darkness in God?

What about: Is there any death in Him?

If there is darkness in God, then there is death in Him.

Now this is where people get muddled, they will say there is no darkness in God, but then they connect God to death! When they do that they are also connecting Him to darkness. When you associate God with death, you associate Him with darkness.

Remember to make a distinction in your understanding between light and dark. Don’t mix and blur the two together. God separated them, now you need to separate them in your understanding (and in your beliefs) and see clearly which side God is on.

God has separated light and darkness. He split them and put them on opposites sides, and said they do not mix.
We need to divide the light from the Darkness

It is about time we separated the light from the darkness just like God did. We really need to define clearly within ourselves what is God and what is not, what is good and what is bad, what is light and what is dark.

God has already separated light from darkness, but in our thinking and in our believing we mix and muddle the two. Large portions of theology have been based upon mixing light and darkness and claiming God is involved in both.

God divided the light from the darkness. We need to do this within ourselves too. In your beliefs learn to separate, divide and make a distinction between light and dark. Then clearly understand and define which side God is on once and for all.

Stop confusing the issue and constantly putting God on the side of darkness. In our understanding of God, understand that He is light, and don’t confuse what He does with darkness.

We get muddled because we have never made the separation between the two in our beliefs and come to the place where we know which side of the line God is on and which side He is not on. We just muddle God into all of it.
How do I know what God is involved in?

He tells you in His Word. He defines light as ‘good’, and then says that He is Light. He clearly lets us know what is of darkness, and that darkness and death are associated. Anything of death is darkness and is not on the same side God is on.

He is the Healer – not the one who makes people sick
He is the Provider, not the one who makes people poor
He is the Saviour, not the one who puts people into captivity
He is the Redeemer, not the One who enslaves people

Make this distinction in your beliefs and stop blurring the boundaries between light and dark. We get confused because we have not put God on one side and the devil on the other. We mix their roles up. The Bible makes a clear distinction.
Jesus made this separation

John 10:10

:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Here Jesus does the same with Himself and ‘the thief’ as God did with light and darkness. He makes a clear distinction between the two, placing the thief on one side and Himself on the other. He shows that there is not a blur between what He is involved in and what the thief does.

Jesus says, the thief is on that side of the line, he kills, steals and destroys; I am on this side of the line, I came to give life. It IS as simple as that

Remember that light and life are connected, so when Jesus said He came to give ‘life’, He is again showing that He is on the side of Light.

Jesus never said there are times He is on the thief’s side, or that you can never really tell what is what, because it is all blurred and mixed! Modern theology tries to say that, but Jesus never did. He made a very clear distinction between the two.

We have failed to do what the first four verses of the Bible did! God did it right away, making a clear dividing line between the two. He defined right from the start the two, light and dark, and which is good.

How can we understand the rest of the Bible if we fail to make this foundational distinction which is defined in the first few verses of the Bible?

God separated the two. Put light on one side, dark on the other. Then He defined the two and told us through His Word which is good.

Also He says, ‘light is good and I am light’. Just so you know which side of the line I am on!
Your turn

Make this separation in your belief system and we will be able to sort out a lot of the confusion in the church. Huge doctrinal debates have arisen and continue to be fueled into full flame, simply because people have not made this foundational and fundamental separation between light and dark, good and bad, God and the devil.

There are still Christians who think God makes people sick or that God is behind suffering. There are still Christians who actually believe suffering glorifies God!
Why do they hold to these beliefs?

Because they have not separated the light from the darkness. They have not done what God Himself did in the first four verses of the Bible.

The Bible does separate the light from the dark. There are no confused or blurred boundaries in the Word. Where there are confused and blurred boundaries is in Christian’s belief systems! We need to get our belief systems lined up with the Word in this area.

Is Delta state not in South South? We have Yoruba speaking people in Kogi state. Should they be calming Lagos or Osun state because they speak Yoruba language?
The issue is not yorubas speaking kogite claiming Lagos or Osun but the Yourubas denying that they are not Yorubas because they are not from the south west. The Igbo race has many dialects just like the Yoruba. It is really funny that people deny the Igbo race as if there is a particular people that should be called Igbo.

I can deny That I am not Igbo too and start claiming Uvoma my tribe.

That is what Bankers/ Account Officers advice them to do. If that money left the account before month end, the commission they would receive will be affected. So they advice their customer not to give credit or ensure that debtors pay on time while they are advised to delay their own bills and debts. I have been to several of their brain washing seminars..

That's not all though as that revelation yet led to another revelation.

It was after I had been given the answer to that confounding question, that i also came to realize that the answer of the question Jesus asked them, was also the answer to the questions the same people had asked concerning Jesus, when He said He was the Son of God, because they considered such a saying of His to be blasphemous.

John 10:33

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

So Jesus actually hid the answer to their question about Him, in the question He asked them, using that saying of David about Him in their most revered scriptures as the basis for that.

Hence all they needed to do was to figure it out, and that would once and for all address their confusion about how He could be a man and yet claim to be the Son of God.

So that answer could also have been life-saving for them, as it would make them know the Truth and the Truth shall make them free.

But unfortunately, their hearts were waxed gross and hardened against the Truth, so the knowledge was yet hidden from them to their own peril and destruction.

May we not come so close to the Truth and yet not be able to realize it. In Jesus name!

God bless.
The pharisees actually knew the answer. That is why they were dumbfounded as any answer they offer will implicate them of their deliberate disbelief so as to continue in their corrupt system. The wisdom of God.

Corruption is in all sectors and taking subsidy removal saving into already corrupt sectors of the system will be worse than what is on ground.
You are right. But that is why we hoped for a government that has understanding of that thing on ground and be stubborn enough to pick it up, kill it if it is alive; urinate on it and render it useless while working hard to make sure that anyone coming in to handle corruption prone positions understands the vision and actually run with it. But stubborn people that has good intentions are hard to find. Only on books.
