I agree with you. Ndi igbo should continue to hold their leaders accountable. Infact we should all be holding all leaders accountable
In Nigeria system, you can not hold leaders accountable. They can either choose to work or not to work.
We should be glad we have crops of governors who have traveled and know the values of development. Unlike the past where drunkards who seeks for praise singers attention just to spend states funds on frivolities.
Enugu state governor is the best there is for now. He entered with a wealth creation plan because he already has all he needed.

Men will see Mercedes Benz and go wow! That's a fine car. But once you open the car to them they would want to drive it. It's best you let them admire the car from outside to limit their hunger of wanting to drive it.

But Russian flags were flown up north.
No one talks about that. No one talks about the arrested people brought to Abuja for trial.
Someone must blame it on the Igbos.

The agenda is make the suffering and weak Igbos appear powerful and self reliant on media to deny them due governance and benefits of being part of the country while creating a sympathy for the oppressive government against the Igbos.

Well done though.
PoliticsRe: Dangote Suspends Petrol Sales, Faces Storm Over Petrol Supply Reliability by thesolutions(m):
Federal government that is not refining petroleum is boasting that the price of PMS will go down further provoking dangote into suspension of sales. They want to claim responsibility of someone's sacrifice for political gain. Now dangote has struck and the president took off to turkey to ask them to come and take our refinery at any amount.
Dangote has Nigeria in his pocket. The price must first go up so Nigerians know who has a say in the oil and gas price in Nigeria.
PhonesRe: What's The Solution For Whatsapp Problem On Foreign Used Phones? by thesolutions(m): 6:41pm On Jan 25
Mystiq25:
Hello nairalanders, we all know that recently WhatsApp is not working on most Chinese used phones like Huawei, oppo, Gionee etc, the problem I think has to do with software tweaking which most of the these phones comes with. So, engineers in the house, is there any solution? Before you tell me say just buy a new phone, you have to consider the the fact that millions of Nigerians can't afford a brand new phones worth over 100k, and they still need WhatsApp on their phones, so once again, is any solution?
It's not about phone brand but about android version.
You can if the android version of your phone is considered obsolete by WhatsApp, just ditch it and get a lesser phone with higher android version. There are new cheaper brands like Oale with latest Android versions.

They/Them. It's a pity English is so bastardized.
We know They/Them to be plural. But using it on a single individual makes comprehension difficult.

If chimera is the case, it should be documented so that we can understand that a particular person actually has two distinct individuals with different genetics resident in it/him/her/them.

Damaged Language.

What difference does this make? ,

The receiver used to pay. Now the sender pays
Businesses no longer surfers like it did last year. Busines i oversee receives over 200 transfers and over 400 POS transactions daily many which are charged N50 per transaction. daily charge on this alone gets to N15,000 on one business that is also profiled to pay tax. How can such business grow.
The sender paying was agreed by the national assembly to treat transaction of N10,000 and above as mail with stamp duty charge.
Business friendly environment is more important.
PoliticsRe: Why Are We Not Praising The Government For N50 EMT Levy Removal by thesolutions(op): 1:22pm On Jan 08
LadyExcellency:
Are you okay? In any transaction involving N10,000 and above, the government collects N50. It doesn't matter which party paying the bill. The Government largesse still remains unchanged. N50 earned and transferred to government purse.
Calm down.
You are no longer charged for receiving transfer of N10,000 and above. Only the sender is charged N50 stamp duty.
PoliticsRe: Why Are We Not Praising The Government For N50 EMT Levy Removal by thesolutions(op): 12:21pm On Jan 08
onatisi:
They replaced it with 50 naira stamp duty
Yes. Only the sender pays the stamp duty and it is for payment or transfer from 10,000 naira and above.
As a business owner, this charge removal is necessary. Next should be fraudulent VAT that these banks charges. VAT that is not credited to your TIN.

Nigerians are not as naive as many think bro
I have not seen any charge on my account since the start of the year. Most of the rants online are false for engagement only.
Tax is not deducted from your account. Only charges are deducted from your account.
PoliticsWhy Are We Not Praising The Government For N50 EMT Levy Removal by thesolutions(op): 11:58am On Jan 08
EMT stands for Electronic Money Transfer Levy. It is 50 naira charge deducted from your account when you receive funds in your account from 10,000 naira upward.

I noticed that government has removed this charge from business owners but introduced the stamp duty charges to save business owners from this fraud that has lasted for a year now. Fraud because it is a loss of extra 50 naira on sales using electronic payment platform.

As someone that manages multiple businesses, charges incurred from transfers and POS transactions from different departments amount to over 15,000 daily from one business location since the introduction of this charges.

I have noticed a drastic reduction in charges from POS since the 2nd of this month.

We should appreciate the government for this effort.
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Reacts To Primate Ayodele’s AFCON Prophecy On Ademola Lookman by thesolutions(m): 1:11pm On Jan 06
Error in prophesy is mostly on the interpretation. Revelations don't mostly reveal itself the way the receiver will understand. So they end up assuming or giving meaning to disjointed revelations or improvising to create the missing parts.

Osimhen and lukman's faceoff has already killed the morale of the team seeing how fans turned against Osimhen forgetting his contribution to the team.

If he withdraw from the team in annoyance, the flaws of lukman will show itself and Nigerians will curse him afterwards when they are knocked out.

His prophesy May be wrong but revelations are never wrong. That it can be changed by deliberate or indeliberate action that alters events doesn't mean it is wrong.

Let's hope the issue is handled appropriately.

People are now worried considering the way some Obidients are not slowing down in wishing things to scatter, they are concerned hope things won't lead to physical before the election as the hatred is becoming too much and unnecessary.

We as Nigerians need to manage how we discuss political matter without escalating things. After all, we all want the best for the country

No Nigerian is superior than the other not to talk of supporters of the politicians

Nigeria stability and security are paramount than any politicians or political party
No Obidients in the market. Just Nigerians.
It is you guys online keyboard warriors trying to drive home false narrative. When met with opposition, you guys resort to tagging everyone as Obidients.
Obi is not going anywhere 2027 though.
CIA is taking over. Real American.
There won't be physical crises because it is easier to control one Nigeria that fragmented nations.
Foreign AffairsRe: What’s The Point Of Having Russia As An Ally ? by thesolutions(m):
No country is out to help another country. They are there to take.
What US is fighting to protect is what every other country like China and Russia want. They want you to use their currency to trade and discard the dollar. If this happens, you will be working for them to earn their currency in other to trade with them or with their allies.
They print money and use it to take your resources cheaply because you are told your currency has far less value.
No supper power country will risk being in battle conflict with US government over their conflict with another country. It is not that they are not capable. But any armed escalation will return the world to stone age.
So it is wisdom to issue papper threats than armed resistance in bid to help another country.
Armed conflicts with a supper power like the US that would result to casualty of their own people will be avoided at all cost.

PoliticsRe: Is Someone At The Central Bank Minting The Old N500 Note? by thesolutions(op):
JAOS:
The aim of the naira redesign was to reduce the amount of cash in circulation not to replace old note so since we kicked against it the old design is still being printed
It wouldn't make sense minting the two different notes at the same time.
Again, the mint of the old N500 note was dated 2022, the year it was last minted. If they are deliberately minting these notes, it would be marked the current year of mint.
PoliticsIs Someone At The Central Bank Minting The Old N500 Note? by thesolutions(op):
I got this old 500 naira notes in mint.
They are not looking like money stored somewhere and brought out for the festivities.

Wild thought.

The government does not know the volume of old notes in circulation.
So someone is minting these note and it is not traceable or accounted for.

Could it be as a result of human activities from deforestation/indiscriminate felling down of trees ?

RomanceRe: Work, House Chores, And The Fairness Debate by thesolutions(m): 5:23pm On Dec 23, 2025
vdestro:
Inspite of your careful attempt to sound reasonable and balanced, your bias showed.

See how you described all that a man goes through

"A man who wakes up daily to face traffic, pressure, deadlines, insults from bosses, financial responsibility, rent, school fees, emergencies, and societal expectations is not “doing nothing.”

Who does not feel the weight carried by the man?

But when it came to the woman, here are your words

"Likewise, a woman who works outside and still contributes at home is not weak or oppressed, she is functioning as an adult"

Here we see you only acknowledging that works but no weight given to the fact that she faces all those same things which is what goes with work.

Then you say she contributes at home downplaying the fact that she does not just contribute she is infact the person who carries and does all the work at home which of course I do not need to list here as everyone knows them.

Then you say she is only functioning as an adult. Is the man not doing the same?

So the truth is the woman who goes through what the man goes through working and then comes home to all the work has the shorter end of the stick and what a suffering and burden. There is no way she would not eventually snap. And there is no way that marriage can be peaceful.

Love demands that you care for each other and support each other after all it is both your home and if it collapses, you both will suffer the consequences.

(On a side note, men tend to forget that it is first your home into which you bring the woman. If she is unhappy you can be sure she would bring down that home on your head then you begin to hear my wife did this and that.)

But since people rarely ever love themselves nor whom they marry, this issue will continue to plague and cause problems in their marriages.
Women faces same in different settings.
Again, you can not use this argument in contemporary environment because some women earns more than their men. That is where her bias is coming from. What they call equal right in marriage is having the man do chores or run errands, choosing not to have children or chosing foster parents because they would not want to loose their figure or quit their jobs.
