With hard copies one has to deal with their bulky nature and finding optimal illumination under which one can read. E-books eliminate both.

I have a thousand on my mobile phone, but I can't get myself to read on the phone. There are books I died to have, but when I got them in pdf, I didn't even open the first pages.
