Nigerian scammers are stealing BILLIONS of dollars

By Cleve R. Wootson Jr.

June 12, 2018 at 2:56 PM

The FBI said June 11 it made 74 arrests in connection with 419 Nigerian email scams. The Post's Cleve R. Wootson Jr. explains how these scams have managed to be so successful.

“Scammers are doing their research … going onto company websites and looking for the right people,” FBI Assistant Director Scott Smith, who helped lead the investigation, told the Wall Street Journal. “They may even go as far as pulling annual reports and finding what companies they do business with and impersonating those accounts.”

Adeyemi Odufuye and his team, for example, sifted SEC records, company websites and other business documents, looking for the names and email addresses of chief executives, chief financial officers and controllers, court documents say.

Odufuye, who had a half dozen nicknames, including “Jefe,” the Spanish word for “chief” or “boss,” led a crew responsible for stealing $2.6 million, including $440,000 from one business in Connecticut, according to the Justice Department.

Luckily, I never have that, at least not this intensely.

Have you tried counting sheep? Off all lights around you. Get comfortable on your bed and close your eyes. If your eyes are tired, sleep is surely around the corner.

Tip: for best comfortability, I sleep with my legs raised up on an elevation. Like placing a small foam on the ground and propping my leg up on the bed. Weird, but works most of the time.

Why 6ft? Why not 6ft? It's at least a verifiable part of me. Can't kill myself thinking of a moniker when I've never been good at it.

It's not procreation. Google The iron lady of Pakistan and see why it isn't. The true reason for our existence is in giving to humanity. We may not know how now but once we are able to give someone's life a meaning, we can tell inwards that we have found our purpose. Or why else do you think people thrive in being part of charities?

Giving selflessly is man's purpose in life and until we give that tangible gift, we'll likely never find peace within ourselves.
you know we are animals right (higher whatever) . Fact is the drive we have is to feed to have sex and protection from external influence , civility and human compassion comes 2nd or even 3rd on some people plate most at all, shows how unneceessary it is., I'll read on the Iron lady , I do understand where you're coming from it doesn't feel right charity/compassion for humanity is why we are here , I really doubt that .
It's late why you not sleeping?
Politics › Re: 5 Things That IPOB Should Know About Rivers State by TheSourcerer: 2:25am On May 11, 2020
strykr:
Op, @amarabae, you know nothing. These Ikwerre people (some of them not all) are like green snakes that camouflage with the grass. What do you do when you notice a venomous green snake in your garden? You either set fire to smoke it out or chase it out. You don't ignore the snake to let it grow bigger and have more children.

The cause of all this confusion is the Ikwerre(some of them) . Do you know an Ikwerre man would claim to be Ikwerre in Port Harcourt, same man would tell and Ogoni, Kalabari or yoruba man that he is not Igbo. This same Ikwerre man would tell an Igbo man from Imo or Anambra state that he is Igbo, swear with all his life and even speak Igbo mlr than them. Do you now blame the Igbo man that encountered such when he says Ikwerre is Igbo? Do you also blame an Ogoni, Yoruba or Ijaw man when he claims Ikwerre is not Igbo? This same Ikwerre man slips away like a snake after causing such confusion and waits to see who's winning in a fight or argument. If the Igbo man is winning, he comes out to celebrate with him. If a non-Igbo is winning he also comes out to celebrate with him.

I don't like IPOB method of doing things, but it's obviously producing results. IPOB is setting fire to the Ikwerre and Anioma snakes around. IPOB are the ones forcing out the discussion of who is Igbo or not. They're making the Ikwerres and Anioma to come out and make a stand on who is Igbo or not. Their methods might be crude or chaotic, but it's producing results. You would never have created this thread if not for IPOB. Pazienza zeal to excise Ikwerres wouldn't be this hot if not for IPOB. The other day, some Niger Delta people opened a thread denying biafra and talking about Niger Delta republic. If not for IPOB, they wouldn't have had any such discussion about any Niger Delta republic. Now, they're considering the possibility because of IPOB activities. The yorubas recently joined the UNPO, a seccsionist organization. Directly or indirectly, these are all as a result of IPOB provocation. You have to understand that breaking out of a nation without war is not child's play. It has to be done with dead cold propaganda, zero emotions and deliberate provocations.

The main objective of IPOB is disintegration of this country. If you studied human psychology, you would know IPOB is using the method of indirect provocation to trigger breakup lines and faults in this country. The whole Jubril saga, calling port Harcourt Igweocha, sharing palliatives in Edo, might look like nonsense, but trust me they're very effective provocations.

At the beginning, I never took IPOB serious or supported their methods, but when I took my time to read history of separatist nations, calmed down and observed effects of IPOB actions, I understood the genius behind them. You might still not understand now, but trust me what IPOB is doing is the best. There is no other way except war. IPOB is a masterpiece built out of psychological warfare, chaos, and intellect. You might think they're crazy, but the government know what they are and that is why they're more terrified of them than boko haram.
I saw this too , well done

Why you might not see the reason for your birth now or how special you are, I want/need you to know that you were born to brighten up someone's life someday. It may not be your wife, but it could be your child who may probably have issues with self esteem and you're the only one he'll look up to.

One day, surely, you'll come to understand why you're here and you'll be glad you were born. smiley
nobody knows why we are here, we only like to ourselves we found our 'purpose' in life
The true reason for our existence is procreation

Well. I was one of the luckiest to escape my dad's wrath, not even my mum nor my elder siblings escaped, he was hard to the core. Had his good side though but he didn't try at all when it comes to my mum. My mum had to leavetolive when i was just eight and he didn't allow her to leave with any of us not even me as the youngest, It contributed to many events going on in my life right now.
I don't know but as of the our parents were cruel , very cruel and acted non --human sometimes, they bleeped a lot of this generation up to be honest they contributed to the lack of love between citizens amidst themselves to be free.
