As such: If your transit is less than six hours: You do not need a transit visa, but you are not allowed to leave the airport. If your transit is 6 – 48 hours, you may leave the airport and visit the surrounding areas."

My dollar card and my brother's dollar card kept declining too. You hv to go to zenith and ask them because when I went there they were telling me they blocked everybodys dollar cards from working on all websites that don't have "3d secure" tbh I don't know what they were saying, but still go to the bank yourself and find out. My brother and I had to write letter so they can unblock our cards

You can submit more docs after first submission, just not by email. You can submit it through your account as stated in the article, no email.

3 bank statements as in, bank statements from 3 different banks or 3 months bank statements?

And it's 4-6 months for the duration. I've seen people put 6 months, some people put 4, not less than 4 months though

So I did my biometrics in Lagos, and when PPR landed, I submitted my passport at the same VAC Lagos. I didn't pay for any courier, I went physically to submit myself. I received notification that it has been processed and currently in VAC Abuja.

My question is: do I need to pay for courier to bring it down to Lagos VAC?

No, after processing, your passport will be returned back to Lagos and you'll be notified when you can pick it up from VAC Lagos : )

Hello everyone I need your advice on this please.

I got admission for a 2year PGD at Mohawk college, Ontario. After later research, I found out that the school will be too expensive for me to fund.
I had paid the initial $2,200 CAD deposit fee for (N1.3m ) and got acceptance Letter.

So now I want to decline, but would want Mohawk college to convert the paid fees to my Friend who also got same admission. So that my Friend can reimburse me back in Naira, instead of waiting for Mohawk college process.

Do you think that will be approved

This doesn't sound possible to be honest. Ive never heard of colleges doing transfer of tuition to a different student

Pls can anyone help me out, do I need to declare the amount of money I have in my bank account? Or is it only if I'm carrying cash over CAD10k

Did test on Monday, till now no update from IOM

Unless you asked for it, they won't update you. They'll just send the result directly to IRCC, what you should be looking out for is "Medicals passed" on your application. For me, IRCC didn't even send me mail when my Medicals passed, I just logged in and saw it. So have faith, it'll come soon : )

I've received my stamped passport so I'm going to post my timeline and documents i submitted below. First time applicant.

Application submitted: December 3rd 2022
Biometrics: December 13th 2022
Medical request: February 15th 2023
The day I did Medicals: March 3rd 2023
Passed Medicals: March 8th 2023
PPR: March 14th 2023
Submitted passport: March 23rd 2023
Passport ready: April 3rd 2023
(I would have gotten it earlier if I did not waste time to do some things like Biometrics and Medicals, my advice is that if you want your PPR earlier, when they send you request to do Biometrics or Medicals, go ASAP)

Documents submitted (I didn't submit more than required) I am self sponsored, I did everything myself aside from the LOE/SOP that my brother and I did together
All the required forms
International passport Scan (no travel history)
Passport photograph of myself (Canada standard)
Letter of Acceptance with receipt of first semester paid (around 8000 CAD)
Detailed Letter of Explanation/Statement of Purpose with my resume/CV attached.
(My advice for your LOE is to make sure you mention you are coming back to Nigeria. Don't just imply you are coming back. Put that "when I get back to Nigeria etc" even if it's a lie. The Visa officer needs to know that you are going to come back. And I saw on one YouTube video during my research not to hype canada up too much, don't say something like "Canada is a great country, great employment opportunities etc" because the visa officers already know that. All they are hearing is that "Canada is good and you will not be coming back to Nigeria." What I did was that I said I was going to Canada to LEARN and I stated I will be coming back to Nigeria. I mentioned my family as home ties, put as many home ties as you can. I did not submit any photo of my family or birth certificate or any of that)

Proof of funds: Around 16m (it's only me going)
I submitted both my domiciliary account and naira account bank statement of four months for both. I put the receipt of tuition paid, along with the contracts from companies I've worked with and the payslips from when the paid me. The payslips showed tax deduction so I did not get tax clearance certificate.

I didn't do police clearance

You don't need agent to do anything, you can do everything yourself. Just make sure you get someone you trust to go over your LOE and POF to make sure you're putting the right thing. These two things I think are what really make your application strong. I took a whole month to write and edit that LOE and even the POF just so I could make sure I did everything right.

Arrange everything like it's a story, just imagine you're a visa officer going through hundreds of application, you don't have time to waste, so don't waste the VO's time either. Arrange it well, put everything in order, make sure you explain everything in detail. Explain any lump sum, explain anything that will make the visa officer stop and ask why.

I don't know about other people but not only did I put bank statements, payslips etc in my POF, I started explaining anything money related, I used a whole page to talk about where the money came from, how company paid me and so on.
Then I used the LOE/SOP to only talk about myself, why and what I want to study in Canada and home ties. I thought this would help someone, you can use your POF as kind of a LOE regarding money incase you don't have space in ur LOE, but be careful you're not putting a whole essay inside your POF, no beat around the bush, save the main talk for your LOE/SOP.

Another thing a YouTube video mentioned is that anything you say in your LOE/SOP cannot be unsaid so BE CAREFUL. Don't write one made up story, if they reject you and you try and take back what you said or change it, it will not help your case. Be very very careful you are telling the truth or at least, you are not telling a lie.

Pls I actually got 2 different response concerning the necessity of health insurance before boarding. I have made my own personal research by checking and reading through several links on introduction letter. I couldn’t find anywhere they say health insurance is important. Pls I’m still not convinced yet on this. I need someone to pls share more details on this

If you have not seen anything on the IRCC website that says that health insurance is compulsory then it's not. If it is, then the website will tell you exactly that you need it. Insurance generally, especially for travelling is only if you want to. In case something happens, people usually get travel insurance so they can rest assured that if anything happens (like their bag get lost, they get sick etc) then the insurance will cover all their fees for them.
But me personally, I haven't seen anything about health insurance being compulsory for study permit

I walked in to submit the passport, you can go there yourself (though I submitted in Lagos)
You need:
Your passport, The Biometrics slip they gave you when you did your Biometrics, 2 copies of passport bio data page (make sure you write your phone number and email address on the copies), VFS consent form signed and passport request letter from IRCC

Do I need to add any additional info or how do they verify the transaction is from me?

Did you pay for courier when you submitted ur passport? Cuz I got a similar email from them saying that collection of decision envelope in person is not permitted until further notice, i don't rly understand

Is it true that all must be coloured copies. I already printed black and white pls someone should pls confirm this to me.
Also, is it possible for application to be treated despite not done biometric yet as I noticed my application is already under background check.

My photocopies were all in black and white and it was fine, no one said anything about colored copy for me

If you check the application you submitted, at the top there should be a link to upload documents? Though I'm not too sure about how to do it since I didn't have to do that. But check there first

You can't upload multiple files to one section, you'll have to compile the files into one pdf then upload the one pdf to the section : )
