ogbuefi677: Yorubas are one? I guess that MURIC man who keeps making the Christian vs Muslim demarcation in Yoruba land is an IPOB yewt. Even the terrorists who were throwing stones into a Christian school in Ilorin b/c of hijab, all na IPOB. Coming to Asari and Wike, those are politically exposed ppl who will support or not support based on where their bread are buttered. But you'll hardly see a SS person here bad-mouthing Biafra. At most they'll say they don't want to be a part of it. Same with Christians in Yoruba land. Same with Northern Christians. But every Yoruba muslim here and muslims generally carry Biafra for head like gala. Care to explain why? You're a joke I'm a Christian and you talk trash about Yoruba(Muslim or not) You get a taste |

CrimeKsmart: Let's me educate you about the Yoruba people first. If you attack a Yoruba who is a Muslim or Christian because of his religion, you have attacked the whole entire Yorubas. An average Yoruba man doesn't allow his emotions to override his common sense. All these attacks on Yoruba Muslims doesn't stop the yorubas from being one or loving one another regardless of the religion.
Now back to your question, it's just a baseless accusation cos how do you tell that this person is a Muslim or a Christian? Is Asari Dokubo a Christian? (Biafra agitator) Is Wike a Muslim?( Antagonist to Biafra) Exactly They struggle to put division That's why they will find it hard to win presidency Thier bigotry is worse than the north |

ScamHunter: That wan is normal thing with Yerobber pipo. How can a people mix Islam and Christianity and not be ritualistic? The bad news is that this is prevalent all over Africa. Just that Yerobbers seem to sleep in it. The people are so diabolical that they practically literally read meaning into everything. I mean diabolic meanings. No wonder the demons their fathers worshiped are still being sacrificed to with human blood even today. Moving around this country, they and Bini are the places people still worship demons in broad daylight. You keep seeing them dropping food and calabashes at the center of the road, even expressway for the devil. As far as they don't kill They can worship Ogun and Shango |

Terrorists are those who kill and maim innocent people unprovoked just on that basis of their religious beliefs. Just like you Muslims are behaving in Nigeria, Afghanista,Palestinian ,Iraq, Kaduna etc. Just anywhere you terrorists are found.
What UGM is fighting is suppression, oppression,Injustice, terrorism, etc. That isn't terrorism, because for every action there is equal and opposite reaction UGM/ESN are as terrorist as ISIS They are all criminals No sweet talking can change that sir. |

BabaIbo: Shut the fvck up please and stop this empty rant.
I don't type things that are not backed up with facts.
Yoruba culture is the single blah blah blah.
Aside from Brazil, you have no sizeable presence compared to Igbos in any other countries in Southern or Northern America.
Support your assertions with official documents or facts, don't come and be using your usual "nigbati nigbati" brain here.
Even in Canada, the numbers of Igbos there is higher than that of other Nigerians ethnic groups combined. I don't want to go to other continents, that one na finishing for you.
Igbos are way ahead of you folks in all spheres/faces of life.
Henceforth, I will only respond to your mention if it includes facts/official figures.
LOL, Nairaland is a faceless forum where some people thinks they are better or more traveled than others. Where are your "facts" sir |
Politics › Re: UK company's 'Yoruba' trademark sparks outcry by theTranslator: 10:51pm On May 26, 2021 |
ceaser: I disagree with the bolded.
Hausa seems to be the most widely spoken language in Africa, that is after Afrikaans, not Yoruba. Although Yoruba is spoken in about two more west African countries including Benin Republic. It is also a strong language in Brazil where the yorubas and yoruba culture is a significant part of the Brazilians.
I however agree with the rest of your submissions. It's actually Swahili then Hausa then Yoruba Afrikaans is not in top 10 |
