Ronaaldo: It is you and your fellow Wawa lawmakers that are sentimental. You still haven't gotten over the defeat that your clearly greedy and incompetent brother Nnaji suffered in the hands of Emeka Offor. Yes, Emeka Offor, not Arthur Eze that bitterness made you to confuse for Offor. EEDC is doing very well and it is only enugu people that are complaining just because your failed governor cannot pay his light bills. Prepaid meter is a nationwide issue affecting all DISCOs not just EEDC. By your second post it becomes clear to me that you're among the new breed of senseless Ibo youths engaging in intra-tribal bashing on this forum of all forums. Forgive me, but I must tell you how I feel; you and your likes are a collective disgrace to the common ancestry of the Ibos; a dent in the otherwise healthy totem of the Ibo course. You wash a brother down in public because you're sectional and myopic to the general goal and pursuit of a unique tribe and people who find themselves in a crossroad of political and economic labyrinth, a challenging time like never seen since the civil war. You put a clog in our collective wheel and muffle our voice with your unbearable myopia and silliness even right before the eyes of those who are bent to hold us down - teaching them in the process how to come into our midst and disorganise us. Shame on you! Just before you think I'm from Enugu; I'm from the south south region but I'm Igbo all the same. |

Sometimes we allow education to cloud our minds from deep mysteries of the world.
Ghosts and reincarnation are old fools tales and we can choose to ignore cos we are educated but it does not change the fact that these exists. You have a point there. |

Toks2008: My sister you are right o..no scientific basis but it has happened big time....
That a child resembles the dad is no guaranty that the child is his...it's a myth that has been proved to be trur several times
Some life mysteries need no science to prove jack...I have heard of old people saying that the child in the womb can take the face of the person the pregnant woman is close to during pregnancy...and these old people are no fools. Please toks, I like most your topics on nairaland but what you stated up there shouldn't even be repeated by an educated mind. There are superstitions that are untrue but inoffensive to the ears, but that crap you wrote up there is an old fool's tale. |

okay mister know it all, since your "quality" of education makes you better than me, why don't you go ahead and explain to me how I black mailed you using your oh so perfect "text book understanding" (whateber that means) instead of all this rubbish. trustyshoess: Look who's talking about humble pie. did you or did you not say that I resorted to black mail? The reason I asked you "do you even know what blackmail means?" Is because to think that anything I said was blackmail was ridiculous and it appeared like you don't know what it means cos if you did, you wouldn't have used the word wrongly. When you've baked the humble pie and had a piece, them you can preach to me about humility In reflection of the emboldened; it is clear you have a restricted text book understanding of the term blackmail hence you've been dancing this ignorant dance. This again tilt towards the question of the quality of your education. Failing to answer critical facts set before you on the implications of marital infidelity as it relates to gender but resorting to cheap tactics by labeling me a chauvinist is nothing short of emotional blackmail. I thought it should be easy for you to understand. |

Guess there's no answer to that cos I didn't I have confidence in my judgement, and your so called questioning doesn't make any difference lol Oh, now it's a question no longer the assertion - "do you even know what blackmail mean". Romance › Re: Guys, Start Saving For That DNA Test by TheUmbra: 9:39am On Jun 10, 2017 |
trustyshoess: Seriously? So are you trying to say it's okay for a man to have other children outside of marriage? Are you for real?? Please if you don't know, many of those so called scientific journals have been debunked! Check again! I'm speaking from experience. That scenario I gave, i have seen play out 3 times and once in my extended family Stop trying to justify infidelity! So let's assume that a man is less likely to contract STDs, does that make it right for him to be sleeping around ? Why marry someone, and then go somewhere else? If there are marital issues, they're meant to be solved like grown adults or speak to a counsellor. What's wrong is wrong Emotion is an enemy to facts and bias is emotion on over-drive. This is the chief factor that makes debating with the female folk on factual and logical ground a near-impossibility. You have failed to read my post without emotional interference. May I ask you; What is your understanding of my opener "While it is easily admissible that infidelity across gender is wrong with far reaching disastrous consequences..."? Scientific research being wrong on what? That women are not more likely to be infected with STDs than men? |
Romance › Re: Guys, Start Saving For That DNA Test by TheUmbra: 8:39am On Jun 10, 2017*. Modified: 9:13am On Jun 10, 2017 |
trustyshoess: I agree with the fact that it is evil for a woman to deceive a man about the paternity of her children but I disagree when you say a woman's infidelity has greater consequences than a man's. What about men who go have extra marital affairs that produce children? What about men that have secret families complete with another wife and children? What about men that cheat on their wives, contract and bring back deadly STDs such as HIV home to their wives and the women, not knowing that they have such a disease ( since they're not sleeping with anyone but their unknowingly promiscuous husband) leave the HIV untreated and end up with AIDs and die in the end? Infidelity is disgusting regardless of who is doing it While it is easily admissible that infidelity across gender is wrong with far reaching disastrous consequences, it is practically, culturally and scientifically proven that a woman's infidelity has more disastrous consequences than a man's. Put aside gender bias and buckle up to some uncomfortable realities. Let's take your points one after the other: When a man has an extra marital affairs that produce children, all is not lost because the child/children can always trace their root or origin to their father. A man or father is the source or origin to a child's identity. In stark contrast, a woman's extra marital affairs which produce children has automatically renders the children as bastards and a product of shame. Such children are without root or proper identity. Without a known father, they remain forever second class indigenes of their mother's community with limited rights and privilege. When it comes to STDs, except you decided to close your ears to numerous scientific journals, research and publications, you'd discover that a man is very much at lower risk of contacting STDs even when he sleeps with an infected woman than an uninfected woman sleeping with an infected man. It is as good as 100% likelihood for a woman to be infected by a man with STDs with just one act of sexual encounter. While on the other hand, a man has much lesser likelihood being infected by an infectious woman. What this means is that a sexually strayed wife can bring home deadly STDs to her husband with just one act of infidelity. |
