faceland: I asked myself; "what is the bad news today?" and Nairaland didn't disappoint.
If you notice, it was after that EndSars riot that Easterners started ambushing police. Only 20 rifles was missing and that region is in trouble. Before it's single shut pump action.
I recommend all police should go through combat training again, because they are used to facing unarmed civilians and are not ready for urban warfare. People smuggle guns around Nigeria all the time, from cultists to militants. |

Ibkhaleel: Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou while trying to run to Germany where he has permanent residence.
These are the people that incite innocent Nigerians who have nowhere to go if anything happens here.
Nnamdi Kanu, Sowore, and Ighobo all have permanent residence in the West; UK, US and Germany respectively. They have somewhere they can run to when Nigeria is on fire, then return after the fire to lead the Nation.
My main concern are the willfully stupid people who follow these guys. Even when they run abroad and start broadcasting from abroad and even start calling those still in Nigeria cowards for not confronting the same soldiers they ran away from, they still have followers.
The level to which people are gullible is alarming. I mean I actually fear for my life living with stupid people like those who support any of these.
How anyone still supports them is a cause for concern. It is very dangerous to live among people that are that manipulatable. It is way too risky to live with foolish people. Especially when they add insincerity to their foolishness so that they can join their father's enemy to pull down their father's house just because they dislike one of the tenants Please what will happen? Your barbarians from the North will move down to slaughter everyone who disagrees with them? The military will kill us all? Please I really want to know what you're driving at. |

Many communities are in constant tension and some go ahead to recruit machineries from Taraba and other neighboring states. This was the business Gana was into before he was murdered by the military when he became intolerable.
Funny enough, where this incident occurred is Governor Ortom's hometown o. Such a failure called governor. He has the security of his state under his command but keep pointing fingers at someone in far away Abuja .
Only God knows what Benue state has done wrong to him that he chose to give them useless leaders like Gabriel Suswam and Samuel Ortom respectively Gana himself was recruited by the Fulanis to help in these "clashes". |

EMMY76: Very true the indeginous people of the south are really not yet ready for the breakup of nigeria if they are really ready I don't see how the uneducated lazy fulani north will be able to stop them. Nigerians are very comfortable with suffering and smiling. Many know they can leave Nigeria but they are afraid of war with the North. They like their miserable lives too much that's why they are fine with living on the edge of poverty as long as there is a fake sense of peace. What many don't know is that the North is already waging a war against the south using terrorists and government instruments. |
Politics › Re: This Is Why Breaking Up Nigeria Is A Nightmare The North Won't Accept by Theunbothered: 3:25pm On Jul 21, 2021 |
The North doesn't want to break up because they need oil from the Niger Delta and access to the sea so they can trade.
The North would be landlocked and dependent on the south for feeding and trade if the country breaks up.
They also can't use youth service to subsidise their lack of skilled workers. |

Na Buhari dey sell cement? Abi na Buhari dey process cassava?
An average Nigerian like I said has the interest of the devil himself in his heart than that of his fellow Nigerian.. Knowing all this, our President closed the borders and believed the price of rice would come down. Buhari gave Dangote free reign to sell his cement and flour abroad during the closure mind you. Buhari is part of the problem. |

24kmagic: The problem with us in this country is nobody wants to take responsibility. We are all looking for who to blame..
You that is complaining of high cost of foodstuffs, what have you done to salvage the situation?
Have you been to the farm? The normal excuse everybody gives is "everybody cannot be a farmer", which is true.
But if a bank manager or a software developer can make as much as six figures monthly, why can't farmers make as much? Is it because they don't have certificates?
Garbage Shehu said he was told that only about 3% of our lands are being cultivated. What happened to the other 97%? Imagine if 50% of our lands are being cultivated? Food will be in excess.
Nobody wants to be a farmer but every body wants to buy cheap food.
You complain of herdsmen, bandits, kidnappers, et'al. Yet, you want those that are risking their lives to produce these foodstuffs to sell it at a cheap price.
Some of Una matter tire me for this shithole
PS: I'm neither APC nor PDP Everyone can't be a farmer because technology has allowed for more food to be produced with less labour. Also farming is not free, cheap or easy. You need to buy land, seeds, young animals, take care of them full time, watch for pests and disease, pay vet bills and so on. Do you expect a full time office worker, doctor or engineer with different projects and responsibilities to travel to a different state every day or week just to watch his farm? The entire economy would crash. Nigeria's problem is not a lack of farmers, it is an economic and security framework that was designed to fail from the start. |

AldrichAmes: I highly doubt that.
The avg 4th gen jet should be able to see it once it’s within striking distance and it’s not as fast as the older jets. There’s a reason why it’s always flanked by F-16s and F-15Cs when going on a mission.
I think its best quality is its ability to hit ground targets with precision while also evading radar. The F-35 is very good at crashing and killing it's pilots by cutting off their oxygen. |

WeNoGoDie: If you grow and develop without carrying others along, soon their problems and flaws will spill over and affect you and/or your children.
You don't understand this, but America and other world super powers understand this that's why they introduce education and medicals and other interventions to underdeveloped countries. Same reason why they've been fighting in Afghanistan for years.
My argument is that these superpowers have the financial ability to wipe out poverty and ignorance which is among the biggest threat to world peace. Why not do this instead of stocking up weapons. If they give a useless government all the money in the world the useless government will still squander it on nonsense and hoard the rest for themselves. Unless you want them to invade those poor countries the best solution is finding leaders with brains. |

atango: You can only see this in Naija. He rammed into a cow and should blame himself for reckless driving instead of shamelesslystanding there to blame an irrational beast. A cow is an animal that does not understand the dangers posed by a mechanically propelled vehicle and so cannot be blamed for an accident. The driver of any vehicle that hits an animal moving along the road is responsible for any damage resulting from such an accident. But since this is Nigeria, anything is possible. Cows can be blamed for all sorts of things including causing an accident. First the cow climbed on the car as you can clearly see the hoof marks on the bonnet. Second even if the man hit the cow, why is a herd of cattle roaming through a public road? Can't the owners properly take care of their cows and keep them away from harm? If I get a dog and it harms somebody I will be held liable for it but you want to defend this nonsense because it's Fulani owned cows. |
