Realtord43:Nah, I'm talking UCL and high profile EPL matches. Switch Palmer and Bellingham's achievements last season and honestly tell me you'd have said Bellingham deserved the EPOY over Palmer! |
Not taking anything away from Palmer's brilliance, but this EPOY award looks more like a breakthrough award. Kalvin Phillips won it in a year Harry Kane dropped over 40 G/A. Palmer winning it over UCL winner Gbellingham and 50 plus G/A Harry Kane shows it's relevance. Out of the four English musketeers (Sk,Bh,Pm & Fd) Palmer already looks like the most quality player in terms of talent. But the others have shown more consistent impact at the topmost level and that's what he needs to do more consistently to reach X-factor level. |
jpmoriarti:Absolutely. Quite very humbling when your body is slower to react to what your brain is telling you. That's why I appreciate more whatever brilliance Messi manages to dish out nowadays even if at a lower level. |
andrewbaba44:After he smashed Pedri's leg plus his racial comments? Make he look for sympathy elsewhere. |
andrewbaba44:Bro, the way I admire Modric ehn. An exemplary player and his gradual decline nowadays even makes me emotional sometimes. You can be among the best and with proper character. Both are not mutually exclusive. |
Devvy4:Lol, Robben literally scored and dominated the UCL semis and final of 2013 and semis of 2010 - and he didn't even see podium finish. Talk true, Robben of 2008 - 2015 and Vini of now, who was better in quality? Lewy scored 4 goals in UCL SF away at the Bernabeu. Suarez had 58 goals in a season, Neymar scored 39 goals in 2015 with a goal in final and 3 goals in SF. Eto'o scored in 2 UCL finals and SF. Yet all these great players didn't come close to winning the Bdor in those seasons. B Dor standards have fallen, or more accurately best player standards have fallen. Nowadays, Ballon Dor can only pick the best of the average since someone has to get it. It's just Vini's luck but don't push it. |
Debroslink:This is my favorite Iniesta assist of all time. He was like a ballet dancer waltzing past awestruck top class defenders like they were a static audience. Such gracefulness! |
Omo its so close 35 - 32%. That's how Kassia in the final would have diluted Kelly's votes to give Wanni the win. |
Threebear:Your source in Deloitte don japa, na why you no get sauce again ![]() |
jpmoriarti:Tis music to my ears. We need that world class 50-goal a season Goalski back |
Lewy see Flick come begin dey cook anyhow. Apparently, Shavi didn't have enough sauce for him to thrive. The message to Mgbappe is catch me if you can. Cook Lewy cook! |
Which Cr7? Obama sef popular pass Pendu. Apart from the most prominent religious figures, MJ is the most famous personality of all time. Even rural people without access to TV knew him to demonstrate how he transcends into all spheres of life. And he was loved. There are many people now who have heard the name Ronaldo but really clueless about what he represents. Ronaldo's popularity rivals are Beyonce, Mark Zuckerberg, Messi, S.Gomez, Gates etc |

@Almiron, Looks like your usual enemies don rest. They are not stressing you on this thread today ![]() |
pu7pl3:Be careful what you wish for... Vibes and inshallah already won you several UCLs and League trophies. |
obonujoker:We appreciate Suarez, Campana et al. But Messi is the pillar of that team's success. For example, if he was not there yesterday Miami would have lost that game rather than the 3 points they got because they were outplayed by Columbus (who beat Aston Villa by the way) but Messi just came up with 2 individual goals. And there are many other similar examples of this. Simply put, Without Messi, Miami cannot be champions. |
obonujoker: Jokerbobo, please which one do you need, bucket or drum? All bills on me . Btw, hope you are good bro. |
OJEEMAH: Lol Messi's silence is even louder than the cho cho cho chontent creators. |
Awesome performance from the GOAT with 2 goals away to their biggest rival for the title. Unbelievable isn't it? Messi took Inter Miami from being the worst team in MLS before he joined to the best team after one season. Even Netflix could not have written a better script. To be honest, I had my big initial doubts about Messi joining a lowly team that will stress him after he left PSG. But apparently, the GOAT already knew what he was capable of and now I can just sit down and marvel at another Messterpiece of a milestone, something a dusty content creator cannot relate to.

FirstbornWds:Honorable, flesh and blood didnt reveal this to you.... Our Bargentine proxies in other clubs dey always deliver |
Angelo Correa! You will never be unfortunate in life....well, except against Barca. This at least boosts morale to some extent. |
abduleez1:Why would Barca want to go for another Dembouz promax. Ousmane sef get sense pass am most times. |
andrewbaba44:I swear that guy na big waste. Has the talent of Neymar but delivers like Pius Ikedia. |
Derumklala12:Any of both is a good standard for the trivela pass. |
oliverano:Yeah I know it's Quaresma's trademark. But Modric is the most recent proponent hence the reference especially that assist vs Chelsea. |
Even Modric's famed outside foot pass no pass the quality Lamine just delivered. What an assist! |
jpmoriarti:He was not unsighted but left a huge gap between him and his near post so it was pointless diving to save the low near post shot when most GKs in that position would have been expecting a shot to the far post from the attacker. At this point, he's become a saboteur to Barca's dreams. |
Misleading headline. I was already wondering why Taribo would criticize a fellow teammate he had no known beef with in such a manner. Obviously he meant that Eguavoen is missing the "spiritual grace" to take his team over the finish line even though they do well during qualifiers and all. It's the pastor in him that's talking. |
His cup's been full since, then he had to top it up again. If looks could kill.....

The stars and vibe of the Italia 90 World cup kind of formed the blueprint for the console game International superstar soccer deluxe! on Sega Mega Drive. Characters like Van Wijk of Netherlands (Gullit), Allejo (Careca) etc were iconic. RIP to one of the World cup greats Schillaci. Then, Nigerians typically called anyone with some show-off skills Schillaci even though he himself was not so much skillful. |
Derumklala12:I'm seeing reports stating he's actually out for 3 - 4 weeks. Who did we offend biko.. |
