In 2022, a 35 year old legend is still the best player in the World. Unbelievable! |
Congratulations to Argentina and the Greatest player of all time Lionel Messi. The Saudi Arabians and other Messi haters were asking "Where is Messi" after the first match. Well, Messi has been found after One month; With the World Cup Trophy! He is also the only two-time World Cup Golden Ball winner in football history. Say a prayer for Pendu and soon-to-be Mbappe fans.

angelEmade:True. Removing Di Maria gave France some impetus to bomb forward. I think it was too early for Scaloni to do that. But mehn, Argentina just like to do it the hard way dont they? |
TristanX:Go away and lick your wounds you pathetic loser. You are not even smart enough to know when to shut up. Argentina had France in a stranglehold for over 80 minutes of regulation time. France had 15 minutes of good play in regulation time and maybe 3 minutes of good play in extra time and you still dare to say they played better in your illogical thought process. It is also funny now that the same penalties you are criticising Messi for Mbappe has scored two of it, yet you are suddenly tight lipped. Go away you shameless pest. You and your idolo are beneath Messi now who is the undisputed GOAT. I will not engage your likes further cos you are not worthy of our GOATed time. |
Messi is a World Champion. Make no mistake, Argentina were better than France over the course of the match. It was the silly defensive errors that led to the penalties that kept bringing France back into contention. Argentina are the best team of this World Cup. Thanks to God, the GOAT and Lionel Scaloni for puttting together a team that are over achieving based on their quality. |
I'm Speeeechleeeessssssssss. What a Game! What a performance from Argentina and Lionel Messi the GOAT. Mbappe you tried but there is one currently still too far for you to reach. You are already better than Pendu. God Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said it: It was the hardest way the only way. |
God pls dont let Argentina lose this advantage for a third time today. Eh see stress!! |
Wow what a game! Messi scoring 2 goals in a World Cup final. What more can I ask for. He has tried. Simply the GOAT. If not for that unintelligent Lautaro, Argentina will be World cup winners already. I am proud of the Argentina team. They played better than France over the course of the 120 minutes. May the penalty game favour them. |
Messiiiii thank you. I'm lost for words. Oh God let it be sealed like this now. |
It's a tough one now. ButI still pray Argentina pull through. Argentina need to get their psyche and organization back. |
FirstbornWds:Seriously I felt for Dembele there. He's at risk of being considered a saboteur by the French media although it's all of them that didn't come to the party. But they'll look for a scapegoat. |
tesppidd:Calm down bro. I told you that it is the team that Argentina would beat that would enter final ![]() |
Di Maria is Argentina's joker. Scaloni knew they'd focus their attention on Messi, so putting Di Maria in that position was a masterstroke. Man of the first half - Di Maria for winning the penalty and scoring the team goal. Messi has been fantastic as well. Scoring that penalty under pressure was not a small feat. Also he created the space for the second goal with his smart reverse pass under pressure to release McAllister. The job isnt done yet though. Argentina need to up their game even further and shut out the French because just a single goal will galvanise France in this game. Congrats to the GOAT in advance. |
Jokerman: ![]() Jokerbaba after France who's next waiting for us in your usual manner ![]() Be happy for Pessi na. Join the Goat team. Aren't u tired of fighting a lost cause. |
Note: This hypothetical question is for Die-hard Messi and Cristiano lovers as it would look stup1d to neutrals of the game. So to Messi fans, if you were offered 20million Naira (30 thousand dollars) right now on the condition that Messi will not win the World cup this afternoon, would you take it? For Ronaldo's fans, if you had the opportunity to win 20million Naira with the caveat that it will make Messi win the World cup today, will it be an unbearable development for you, or you'd rather see Messi lose and forfeit the money? Personally and in all sincerity as a Messi fan, I will derive eternal joy from Messi's win than from the 20million even though the money is really tempting. But what's your take? State the category of fan you are and your choice to make it more interesting. fineboynl:The dog revenge movie is titled Tehri Meri Baniyan. Watched it in the early 90s. Very emotional. Miracle in cell no 7 ranks number 1 for me. It was downright heart rending. |
Jokerman: 2002 - Madrid won UCL, Brazil won WC 2014 - Madrid won UCL, Germany won WC Agendus in the mud ![]() |
jpmoriarti:Lol, add some medical tips he must have gotten from his wife ![]() Meanwhile I hear Varane, Coman and Konate are also down with the flu while Too-much-money and Theo Hernandez have injury doubts. Could the stars really be aligned?..... God ooooooo |
Jokerman:Lol, I didnt know you don become Pele and Maradona stan na. Na only those two wey fit threaten Messi's standing if things go South. Pendu wey GoatMessi don leave for dust. Read the writing on the wall, they are no longer in the same whatsapp group bro. Messi now has a real World Cup legacy regardless of what happens on Sunday - 2 finals, top 6 WC highest goalscorers and assister in history and several other records. Meanwhile Ronaldo's World cup CV is on the same wavelength with Ahmed Musa's. So which mouth you wan use troll me ![]() |
Wow RIP to a legend. The only player in history in a top league that scored a hattrick of free-kicks in a single game. Renowned for his wicked left foot. I used this guy to score free kicks on PS1 like mad with his 99 Curve. He was in the European all star team on PS then. |
OJEEMAH:You dey mind that one? Obembedi or whareva shehe calls himerself. Karma is dealing severely with dem likes now: Every news about Ronaldo now is one of embarrassment, disgrace and pain for her while at the same time Messi is progressing and winning more people over. Yet another coach of Pendu has been sacked, just like he himself was sacked from United a couple of weeks ago. Talk about his infectious badluck and no wonder ETH was smart enough to avoid him this season. More extreme misery awaits their likes when Messi wins the World cup by God's grace and carries a ballon dor and possibly multiple Fifa bests along with it. |
Numerouno94:On point bro. Mbappe has a long time to write his own history and his place among the all time greats; and I will not hate on that. Messi though is on a different level, and I pray that his greatest desire to win this World Cup is fulfilled on Sunday. He deserves it! |
Kilishihunter:Argentina just needs to play the way they played against Brazil in the Copa final. Read moments in the game when they can take the initiative and hurt France the most. They should also play to Messi's strengths e.g try to get free-kicks within 25 yards, you never know as such could be the difference maker. The hard way the only way. |
Numerouno94:I think most of them are just social media football followers or just started watching football a couple of years ago. Messi's claim as the GOAT already started since 2011 out of genuine admiration and not some silly rivalry, after that UCL final against Manutd. I remember several sports tabloid headlines labelling him GOAT after that match. Ronaldo's attempt to claim GOAT didn't come until much later in 2016. Comparing Mbappe to Messi of all people at same age? Let them tell me if Mbappe has ever produced Messi's kind of performance against Arsenal in UCL quarter-final where he scored a whopping 4 world class goals? Has he ever produced Messi's Maradona-esque performance against Real Madrid in the 2011 UCL semi-final? or against Man utd in the 2011 UCL final? Or against Bayern Munich in 2015 UCL semi-final? These Pendulums are only trying to gaslight us against Mbappe which is a no-contest and we would not fall for that. Mbappe is a fantastic player in his own right and looks set to dominate football as its best player going forward. Indeed, it's a pity that none of the current players within his age range are able to compete against him. That it is a 35 year old Messi, and not Lewandowski, or Ronaldo or Suarez or Neymar or Haaland or De Bruyne or Benzema or Greizmann or Dembele or Rashford or Rafael Leao or Salah or Harry Kane or Mane or Hazard or Bale or Jesus or Lukaku & Co, that is standing up to Mbappe toe-to-toe on the greatest stage is the ultimate testament of Messi's incomparability and GOATness. |
valETA1:Thank you o. It's these shameless Ronaldo fans that have shockingly abandoned their Pendu in the GOAT debate to now line up behind Mbappe and pitch him against Messi. Is Mbappe the same as Cristiano? It's unbelievable. I can imagine if Messi fans start to hop on the Haaland train and use his current exploits to claim that he's GOATed over Ronaldo. Is that not insanity? Wetin concern Messi with Haaland? It's so shocking that it is we Messi fans that are the ones now defending Cristiano against Mbappe. We are now having to remind Pendulums that the reasons they are putting up to compare Mbappe to Messi would automatically mean that their CR7 is also under Mbappe's feet at this age which cannot be the case. They are so blinded by their hate on Messi that they've thrown Pendu under the bus. I feel so sorry for him. So many pivotal French players like Greizmann, Giroud, Varane also reached the final of 2 world cups apart from Mbappe. Does this put them above Messi? At Mbappe's age, Messi had won 2 Ballon Dors and 3 UCLs. Mbappe has none of that. Ronaldo had at least also won a UCL and a Ballon Dor at Mbappe's age. Ronaldo De lima already had 2 World best awards at Mbappe's current age. How can you then compare him to all these Greats just because you hate Messi? These guys are just mented. |
Kingcalls:Guy your reasoning just dey somehow. No head or tail, anywhere belle face. Chai, so you mean you are admitting that Mbappe at current age (23yrs 11months) is better than Ronaldo who first won Ballon dor a month to his 24th birthday and already had a UCL trophy? Meanwhile Messi at Mbappe's current age has won 2 Ballon D'ors and 2 UCLs. Mbappe has none, how could you even compare? A world cup win and final obviously does not put him on same pedestal cos he was not the overall best in 2018 and there is no guarantee he will be in the current one too. If anything, Greizmann has the same WC credentials as Mbappe but he wouldnt even smell Messi's level. People dey sha. |
Jokerman:Mbappe still has only 2 assists. Deflected shots aren't recorded as assists. |
See all these shameless Pendu fans here riding on Mbappe to cover for the knock out Messi gave their old fraud at this world cup. Mbappe is Mbappe and not CR. He's 23 and in his prime while Messi is over a decade older. You cannot use Messi's competition with Mbappe to justify anything about Pendu. It defies logic. If anything it is to Messi's credit as GOAT that he is the only player in this World Cup standing against Mbappe toe-to-toe at a whopping 35 years of age. Jeez, these Pendulums are like those cuckolded white husbands that invite abled black guys to come and screw their wives silly seeing they cant do it by themselves. What's in that to brag about? |
teeshet:Lol, France had 4 penalties in the run up to their last World cup win. Was there an Agenda then? In the same 2018 World Cup, Harry Kane scored 4 penalties and no dust was raised. Pendu scored 3 penalties in only 4 matches in the last Euros and we didn't hear your ringtone. So time for Messi to also reap penalty benefits, you started crying more than the bereaved ![]() |
To be honest, when Saudi beat Argentina in that first game, my belief that the team could go all the way was massively shaken based on the weak manner Argentina capitulated in that defeat. But then after the Mexico game in which Messi gave the dream a flicker of hope, I started to think the Saudi loss might be a Dr Strange vs Thanos moment; to stoop first and then rise to conquer. The hardest way the only way. Maybe that was indeed the only way by which Argentina could generate the extra force of will and experience required to push them past more difficult opposition until the ultimate victory; while at the same time fate throws up the choice of their would-be opponents at each stage to be the one that would be beaten regardless of strength. And so far, that has proven to be the case. On Sunday, the Endgame will unravel. May the GOAT and Argentina be its beneficiaries.
