DOTian:There are two sides to a coin. While I completely agree with you at the emboldened, you should also realize that when you look at the whole history from a neutral standpoint, those that are calling her hypocritical also have a point. From time immemorial, there is no current civilization that is not built on blood of the vanquished. Israel & Egypt, Phillistines, Rome and Southern + Eastern Europe & North Africa, America and the aboriginal Indians, and so on. Even the original Anglo-Saxons of England were conquered by France who subsequently influenced even the English language that we speak. That is the way the World has been shaped. Looking at the facts, the British empire's policy was clear, to maintain its influence and the sovereignty of Commonwealth territories. Biafran leaders threatened this objective by triggering the ethnic coup eliminating key leaders of other Nigerian tribes and then insisting on secession. No monarchy in world history would close its eye to a threat of losing control. Therefore their intervention was expected in line with their overall stance. There were other countries that supported Biafra as well, which had Nigeria lost, other tribes would have had a reason to begrudge them. And if Biafra had won, its people would have also treated the Nigerian casualties as victims of a justified war. The same America that Uju is working and finding her voice from is built on the blood of the victims of the American Civil war and the native Indians. If her sense of injustice is unbiased, she should also be attacking the American political and social structures and refuse to benefit from the spoils of the American dream made possible by the blood of the vanquished natives. She cannot lay claim of ignorance about that. |

Lol Big brother must hire Adekunle to take over his duties next season o. He just did a perfect audition now. |
Amya:The comments during lockdown did not suggest it was meh at all. Maybe Erica's fans after her disqualification started selling that narrative to lessen the pain. Yes a lot of people started watching lockdown due to being at home but the performance of the season itself sustained such interest impressively. If you watch the trend, the engagement level increased from See gobe to lockdown as each successive season outdid the previous. It was the deadness of SYE season that broke the trend and the comments during the season itself reflected that it was massive letdown and the general interest just plummeted. Level up is bearing the brunt for the deadness of SYE season. If it came up immediately after lockdown, its engagement level will be way higher than SYE's. |
AmazonTopaz:It was competitive in-house. It was outside the house that there was bandwagon, and a worthy one I must say. It had more HOH spread among the HMs than other seasons which demonstrates the in-house competitiveness. In terms of tasks, the execution level of their tasks was almost at a professional level consistently. It did not have the amateurish feel of most task wins in the last two seasons for example. |
AmazonTopaz:Dont underestimate lockdown season. It has the highest engagement ever on BBN Nairaland with 11thousand pages. Pepperdem engagement for all it's interesting tag was far behind at 8 thousand pages. Lockdown took the national interest in BBN to an all time high and the most remarkable thing was that the interest level did not wane even into the final weeks. During lockdown, you leave this thread for 3 hours and when you come back there are already a hundred pages for you catch up. Lockdown had strong smart confident personalities that sustained its interest. Laycon, Kidd, Ozo, Erica, Prince, Nengi, Neo, Dora, Trickytee. The competitiveness was outstanding. I'd say the lockdown set were the best in terms of quality of task performance. I remember Neo's flawless rendition of of the Suits series or Kidd's impressive acting of Power series, or Vee's hosting presentation or Ozo's sports broadcasting. Lockdown cast had starpower in plenty. SYE had only Maria, Wmoney, Pere & Cross at this level. Today, these guys are still shining based on their talent. Laycon for all his supposed struggles is still the most accomplished BB9ja musician till date. Ozo is doing super well on Supersports. Vee is a regular presenter on shows. Erica and Nengi are successful ambassadors for brands. |
They had better reschedule the remaining 10 minutes or so. It's been done before involving Real Madrid. Cancel gini? |
ghettokid1:Ok thanks for the clarity |
Why is the whole stadium praying? Which player had an health emergency? I stepped out for a moment and met forlorn faces on TV, biko what's happening |
jpmoriarti:Yes o. Hopefully their G.K will not become unripe and morph into Spiderman when it's our turn to plunder. ![]() |
Facing one of our chief bogey teams today. I can't seem to understand how a team like Cadiz has proven to be a constant thorn in Barca's flesh. They were the first to halt the title push momentum that we had built in the final stretch of the 20/21 season. Barca's form dipped irrecoverably from that point. That has to end this afternoon. Saboteurs like Lenglet that enabled them have left. I hope they get the Real Sociedad treatment! |
neztar:Like Xavi just said, Dembele is currently at the level of prime Neymar in terms of fear factor. The only thing Prime Neymar has above him is goal efficiency (scored 32 goals in 2014/15) and still weighed in with several assists. Dembele is still some way behind in that aspect. So for now, prime Neymar takes the cake between the two but hopefully not for very long. |
OJEEMAH:Your reply is lit! |
E no easy to get goals and assist pass self-acclaimed asun wey even get 2 year head-start. Messi na the confirmed football's best abeg. All players that have been Messisted should be eternally grateful for being enabled by the GOAT. In fact, CR is one of his beneficiaries. He assisted Pendu to experience the Europa zone by giving Pep a call to block his move to Man city and pave the way for him to join Lord Magwaya & Co. He then simultaneously blocked Wasiu chances of joining PSG by taking up his slot. Definitely, CR should thank Messi for the opportunity given to him to break Europa records and discover new territories in the zone. |
Jokerman:No be you people dey also blame Magwaya for Wasiu's woes? |
Kilishihunter:I hear our young Alhaja has been receiving several plaudits from fans for doing wonders with Dembouz. More grease to her whatever cos Dembz obviously loves it! That assist to Ferran was so UnDembelous. I didnt know he also had finesse in his arsenal cos his style is more of explosive trickery. Good he learnt some classy magical stuff from Messi. That pass to Ferran and Neymar's lob to Mbappe should be contesting for assist of the week. Incidentally both resulting goals were UCL goal of the week contenders. |
Adexchelsea19:Anybody with half a brain should know that that tweet is fake cos there is no way that even the dumbest HM will say on live TV that he used to rape women in these woke times. So those that are regretting are just dumbos allowing haters to gaslight Adekunle. |
She's dead. RIP |
FirstbornWds:IMO, the slander was well deserved and helped him to rediscover himself. I mean Dembele is someone with Prime Thierry Henry-esque generational talent but was delivering like Pius Ikedia. He needed the wake up call to get to his best level. When I watch him now, it feels like he's got so much explosive talent in him that the issue now is how to control it. He is simply unplayable at the moment. Na only goal sense Mbappe use to surpass him. |
Meanwhile I know some of us were flirting with the thought of Trent Alexander Arnold as the ultimate right full back for Xavi to buy. But mehn, that guy's defending is horrendous from what I've seen in these past few Liverpool games. In fact he just gives up too easily when trying to track back against pacy attackers. A defender who strolls when his domain is under siege. Abeg Sergi Roberto is better. |
Jokerman:Errm, wait for your time bro. 7.30pm tomorrow |
FirstbornWds:Ok I get. He deserves a breather after the plenty dragging he's gotten. I think Fati feels he's under pressure to perform and its showed in his game tonight. He just need to be a bit calmer and things will fall into place for him. |
OhBritannia:Fantastic feat from Lewy. However pls don't trivialize the use of the term GOAT. It's reserved for a select few - specifically the legendary trio from South America. |
FirstbornWds:Errmm, Firstborn it's only Victoria Plzn though. We can assess him against stronger opposition. |
But mehn, Lewy is a goal machine. Between him and Haaland I cant even say who get goal instinct pass. He scores better goals than Haaland though. |
Dembele is a nuclear weapon. He's got way more explosive qualities than any other player currently in world football even more than Mbappe. Na only goal sense remain and we'd be talking Ballon dor contender. |
ghettokid1:Was Pjanic that bad for us? Thought he showed some promise during preseason. His exit is so unceremonial. |
If I am to overlook the political immaturity displayed by these 2 senior buffoons and focus purely on the entertainment value, I 'd say FFK finished Dino hands down. His skit was more creative and the diss was loud: Senator Dino is at the gate; What does the sign at the gate says? No stray dogs, No pigs, No bitches, No dimwits bla bla; and gentlemen please remember to protect your butthole cos Dino is a known buttlover. His fone accent now made the insult to enter well ![]() Awon agbaya meji |
Beverlyjean:Kingcalls, at last you've made sense,.... for once ![]() |
GOAT of goats |
Make I go dash Chomzy 4200 votes now. I need her in the house as an ally of Adekunle for strategic reasons. Unfortunately, Eloswag is too far down to be salvaged for Ade's company. So it's odigbere to Elo from me. |

Rock bottom in Laliga table with zero goals scored and 10 conceded. If we didn't manage to compound their misery this time around, then I know say jazz don join am
