Alves was not referring to national match ups which come very rare compared to club fixtures and not enough to make objective evaluation. How many times has he faced Messi nationally, less than five times of which Messi won some unlike CR that has never won nationally against Alves.

When Varane said Messi was the toughest player he has faced, it definitely wasnt based on France vs Argentina. He has also faced Portugal but that isnt a factor in his choice for Messi.

Alves is right. Since Messi is his colleague, If he had mentioned any other player it would have been a slap on Ronaldo's standing as the second best after Messi in this era.

Who are the best players Alves has faced consistently in his career? lbrahimovic, Ribery, Drogba, Di Maria, Milito, Eto'o, Benzema, Dybala, Carrasco. Not choosing CR would be a big dent. So he is right.

I have already expressed my doubts about Raphina even way before yesterday's game. I dont think he is world class due to his erratic decision making and execution with his shots and crosses. His play is too much of hit and miss. I honestly dont think he is a Barca level material (more like Adama in my opinion). Xavi will need to do a lot of work on him to prove me wrong.

That said, No need to beat ourselves to death over yesterday's loss as there were still a lot of positives. Yes we have to endure the perennial trolling but realistically we lost because we didnt take our chances and this may be a bit psychological due to our recent history with them. Even Madrid mostly had to outscore Bayern in their prior duels cos they almost always score.

MATS should have been more assertive to punch the ball away for the first goal. He was caught flat-footed in his area of control.

Dembele was disappointing tonight. He lost several balls and was imprecise with his movement. He truly needs to convince he can deliver consistently against big opposition. So disappointed.

Hmm this just makes me realise that it is very difficult to get sense of justice when the people involved are those we love to hate.

I am an Adekunle stan but I look at scenarios independently. It is very dishonest to equate "you are from the streets" with "you lack home training, who even raised you".

You are from the streets is common Nigerian parlance that is even considered positive in some instances to mean someone that is tough, grassroots, very street smart and difficult to deceive.

The equivalent insult of you are from the streets is you are ajebutter. Would you consider that an insult on someone's family? Na wa for you people's interpretation o.

And to ignore the genesis of this fight is most unfortunate just because Shella is hated. Phyna wrongly accused and insulted Bella yesterday of lying about evicted HMs food only for the returned HMs to confirm Bella was right. And Bella was right to emphasize this to Phyna cos she was wronged. Phyna then drew first blood by asking her to shut up. Bella's "streets" response was coming from a place of being wrongly accused yet it's Phyna that is being commended for her disproportionate insults.

Phyna may have won the fight, but what I saw from her here is a trait of pure wickedness and manipulation. It seems also she has successfully hoodwinked most of you guys here.
