MetaHuman: Role is not just about scoring goals, Its about contribution to the team. No other african player in europe has been as fantastic as moses this season for me. The award will definitely be between, moses, aubameyang and sadio. It will be decided by the number of major trophies you helped your team win in the end.
Europa is a lousy trophy. -mourinho at chelsea lol. mourinho is well known for talking before he thinks. is he not the one scraping for the trophy now? |

lamarrj: Lol, but on a low, Moses has to do more. I just want a Nigerian to win it. I want it too. but we are not producing enough talents. i think emenike is the only Nigerian that scored in the champions league this year. very shameful. |

MetaHuman: check out the players you listed and victor moses, which one of them can you compare with moses this season? Except for may be traore, and he will only win youth player of the year. Bailly? Really? He won't even play in the final if at all man u wins By the way, is europa a cup? *rolls eyes*
Mikel played his heart out at nations cup, yet toure won it based on his performance at mancity. Less I forget, the same nigeria knocked ivory coast out of the nations cup that year, what does that tell you? Aubamayang won apoty when toure won nations cup . Participation doesn't mean jack. you make me laugh. asking if the Europa league is a trophy. yes it is. and I still remember the role it played in kanoute's emergence as Africa's best. anyway, the names I mentioned were just to butress my point. none of them have been as good as moses this year but they have also won and may win big trophies. aubameyang will probably win only the German fa cup, but he has had a better season. joint top goalscorer in the bundesliga. 7 goals in the UCL (mahrez on 4 and emenike on 3 are the other Africans on the chart). he is definitely Dortmund's player of the year. moses is not even in the premier league team of the year. he won't even win Chelsea's player of the year. he has never kicked a ball in the champions league to the best of my knowledge. for me, its aubameyang hands down. no sentiments |

MetaHuman: what did they achieve at nations cup? they participated. it gives them an edge. it means both have played at least 3 games for their country in 2017. moses is yet to play for the eagles so far in 2017. he played just 2 games for the eagles in the whole of 2016. that's not enough. all this talk of achievement. Eric Bailly or betrand traore could win the Europa league at the end of the season, does that mean they deserve to win APOTY? Mario lemina and kwawdo asamoah could win a treble with juve by the end of the season...it doesn't mean they deserve to win APOTY. its all about your individual performance. moses has been brilliant this season, but aubameyang and mane have been better. |
Sports › Re: Has Victor Moses Done Enough To Win The African Footballer Of The Year 2017? by thinkative: 10:12pm On May 13, 2017 |
lamarrj: If not for the double standard, but Mahrez won only the EPL, he beat Aubameyang and Mane. So why does Moses have to do more? mahrez was premier league player of the year. moses won't even win Chelsea player of the year. trophies are won as a team. individual performance is what matters when talking about APOTY. |
Sports › Re: Has Victor Moses Done Enough To Win The African Footballer Of The Year 2017? by thinkative: 10:07pm On May 13, 2017 |
lamarrj: These are natural fullbacks as we both know. Danny Rose and Walker are not even up to Moses' standard so far in the season. Rose, God knows were he his and Walker in recent games has been benched for Kevin Trippier. wrong. rose and walker have been immense this season. they both made the PFA team of the year. walker was chosen ahead of moses. rose has been injured recently and walker is currently in a transfer/contract stand off with spurs |

donbenie: Recent past experiences have shown that the Nations Cup doesn't have much sway when it comes to the African Footballer of the Year Awards or when was the last time an AFCON winner won the Award?..it may not be ideal but that is a discussion for another day..the reality on the ground is that winning a major European League Title or simply having a great European League season can fetch you the Award.. point of correction. it is STARRING on a major European league. something mahrez did last year (PFA player of the year). Yaya Toure did it countless times. aubameyang has been doing it in Germany. Sadly, for Moses he has only had a good season. nothing more. luiz, kante, hazard and Costa had better seasons in that Chelsea team. even Marcos alonso on the other flank. he didn't even make the premier league season. |

robosky02: Moses has been consistent for both club and country for club? yes for country? big no he made is debut in 2012 against Rwanda. he has played only 24 games since. he has only played in about 2 or 3 of our last 8. I struggle to see where the consistency comes from. |

LEOVOLUTION: Bro you're just hairsplitting, trust me right now you sound like yaya toure when he lost the award to aubameyang despite his nations cup triumph, but completely forgetting how he was favored over Mikel obi ( who vanquished his team en route to the nations cup silver ware in 2013) Stop these quibbles about neo-colonialism because as it is, Isa hayotu's nepotism and favoritism has been the main factor undermining the integrity of that award. By the way Moses is a wing back. That's incase y'all what to speak of goals. . He plays regularly and well for club and country. . He has the silverware to back his claim. . Fortunately, no player in the elite squad happens to be African as it is, so what more can I say? VICTOR MOSES NONI. moses has a chance. but he doesn't have the x-factor. didn't even make premier league team of the year. plus he has done little for the eagles this year compared to the others that were at the nations cup with their teams. I'm sure he will make the top three, but its unlikely he wins it. |

robosky02: oya tell me the Nigerian best NOW that plays week in week out for a top club
or which African that has match him, even in terms of trophy Aubamayang scores goals good but no trophy, sagio mene has fussled out
Victor moses is just the last man standing this season is it only by trophies? you look at performances too. aubameyang has scored goals in the UCL this year. moses has never even kicked a ball in the champions league in his life. he has never played in the nations cup. the whole argument for his nomination is based on his Chelsea exploits. Yet, he is not even among the best 3 players at Chelsea this season (kante, hazard, luiz). standards have dropped in African football sha. |

safarigirl: if Moses qualifies for that World Cup from the group of death, a KO AFCON stage is useless.
E be like say you no know how APOTY works, you just want an opportunity to register your displeasure with neocolonialism. Where were you when they robbed Mikel?
Thank God that Hayatoi has gone, all this biased favoritism if Francophone footballers will hopefully end.
If you want to mention a player that can compete with Moses, mention Mohammed Salah of Egypt, not Mane. no one robbed Mikel. yes, Nigeria won the AFCON but Mikel wasnt even our best player. guys like enyeama and emenike did better. however, yaya toure had a better year all round. yes, Moses was crucial to Chelsea's tittle win, but he has played just about two games for Nigeria this year. he still has a lot of catching up to do with aubameyang, mane, salah and basogog. |

coolluk: He didn't win the league yes. but he was a stand out player in the league. he also put in a decent performance at the nations cup. aubameyang didn't do too well at the nations cup but he has scored loads of goals for Dortmund in the league and UCL this season. moses has been solid for Chelsea this season but has barely played up to 5 games for the eagles this past year. the eagles were not even at the nations cup. mane or aubameyang deserve it |

His choice of words was terrible and infuriating. analyzing the breasts of a Lady young enough to be his daughter. talking about cossy's breasts being interesting. plus, the show is not run on stolen money. the winner didn't steal the money. people that voted weren't coerced with bags of rice. I've have not had power for 6 months now...since Oct 2016. and the bulk of the fault lies on Abati, the people he used to work for and their ilks yet the old fool is ranting about BBNaija. in fact, it shall not be well with him! |

She bullied Debie-Rise & blamed Debie, d HM who had her back 4 putting her on d spot when she couldn't recite d national anthem. Tbos openly called Debie a manipulator & said Debie was not in her corner. A statement Debie said was hurtful to her. HMs & viewers alike resented Tbos because she unravelled on d show as a mean-spirited, arrogant manipulator. How is it difficult to understand dat someone who could profess love to d young Miyonse in d night only to nominate his ass 4 eviction in d morning will hav many haters? it is more than that. efe won the show. he once stole the crown in the house. people didn't hate him for that. bisola too. she was the most randy of the housemates. and she bulied most of the younger girls a lot. people didn't hate her. That was barefaced mockery to Nigerians. How can she open her mouth and say she will finish N25M in one month? In this recession!!
If that is not a slight upon all hardworking Nigerians, what is? Answer me, what is? how is it mockery to Nigerians? did she steal the money? yahoo boys spend as much in a night at nightspots and post pictures online, yet the outrage isn't usually as much as this. I don't really like the Lady because she seems immature for her age and she doesn't pick her words well. but she did nothing on that show to deserve the bashing she's getting. we saw a married man break his vows. someone denied his family. a mother got randy and was begging for sex on live TV. a presenter took to the stage with a raging hard on. yet Nigerians are angry because someone is proud...is manipulative....is a white witch.. blablabla I tire for you people ooo |

khalifahsparkles: oga sanusi, in not more than two sentences, link shariah law and poverty. because I am not understanding.
and if you succeed in doing that, using Dubai and Saudi Arabia as case studies, link Sharia law again. he did not say that sharia law is the cause of poverty. his point was that politicians use religion as a tool to win the people's mandate. people in the north will likely vote for any candidate that promises to entrench sharia. but, should that be the key criteria for choosing a leader? zamfara governor was voted in and introduced sharia, yet poverty continues to grow in leaps and bounds |
