Let's allow peace to rein, those countries you are thinking of running will close their borders on you oo... I hope you watch international TV and saw what happened with the Syrians. Know what you wish for, if you are not in Nigeria then forget about Nigeria and enjoy your eldorado, don't stay there to set fire on others. 2 Likes |

dablazor:Did you demand for regionalism or separation during former President Jonathan era. All I see is hypocrisy! Akwa Ibom has been receiving the highest allocation in the whole country, but the state is impoverished! Do I still blame President Buhari? You guys should be honest! We live with these people and see the type of houses they build and the kind of cars they drive! We see people who had nothing yesterday but today are billionaires with no job and we applaud them. How did they get such wealth? Think! 4 Likes 1 Share |

A very good question to ask op.. Those saying it's the system of government, during former President Good luck Jonathan, what type of system of government were we practising? It's unfortunate that a certain section of this country is used to crying each time. Give Niger Delta states N1 trillion every month and nothing will change, the people are not progressive in thinking but docile and lazy and so they expext everything to be done for them. Niger Delta leaders should answer to Niger Delta Avengers not FG! 3 Likes |

nigeriafilm:Hey, relax it's okay. When productivity is mentioned, it's not about farming and besides there are different forms of farming, livestock and crop farming. There are other productive things also not just farming. Are you sure youths will want to farm? In Nigeria, we have thick bushes everywhere... You can also partner with someone in farming if land in your vilage is expensive. No amount of wailing will produce a result that's the whole summary anyway. |

Politics / Nigeria And Niger Delta: Which Way? by thomasthomas: 5:41am On May 29, 2016 |
I have noticed in recent times that some Nigerians are so excited that it seems that President Buhari has 'failed' and I ask are we such a wicked people who are happy that the country is not progressing just because we do not like the President? No sense of patriotism at all! I am not surprised! Even in our different families, people are not always happy for the success of one another. People envy, jealous and hate a successful family member. People forget that if President Buhari fails, all of us in this country will suffer for it so why get excited? When President Buhari included the exploration of oil in the Chad Basin, it was as a result of some of these crises. I support him for that. When NDA finish blowing up oil installations and the IOCs move over to the North to continue production, it will be a good scenario to see oil producing states turn to states without oil production and other states now assume that position. I'm glad Lagos is now an oil producing state. According to recent report, the self acclaimed freedom fighters have blown up a major pipeline thereby reducing Nigeria's oil production output to 800,000 barrels per day. People from a section of the country are happy but ironically, they are the ones complaining the most. I'm so disappointed how some Nigerians think. The world is in economic crises due to certain factors and so NDA should know that they are worsening the the already bad economic crises. At the end, who suffers it? Thinking that pipeline vandalism will not happen in the proposed 'Niger Delta Republic' is to live in a fool's paradise. It has become a norm that whenever a certain section of the country is not happy with the FG especially Niger Delta, they go about blowing up oil pipelines. So it will still continue in the proposed republic. Nigeria will not have money to pay salaries, pensions, embark on projects and even pay the ex militants. Is that what we wish for this country? The Niger Delta people are not known to be industrious as confirmed by Bayelsa state governor, Governor Dickson and so everything in the 'republic' will revolve around oil and when oil price is low like this, then there will be hunger and starvation as they won't be any free money. II'll advise the FG to locate their multibillion naira project away from Niger Delta for now because it will amount to waste of resources if they get blown up by militants. Any progressive section of the country should get the projects, yes I do not mind! |

Checked86:In that argument, there was a context, there's no point trying to take things out of context. I mentioned in the article that if one cannot get a job from government, Shell or Zenith Bank, you still need to be productive. Of course government has the responsible to provide jobs for her people but you still need to be productive rather than subscribe MB to go online and wail! Government can't provide ALL the jobs, so one needs to be productive. The artisan: welders, carpenters are feeding themselves while graduates are updating pictures on Facebook and Instagram and crying for lack of job. Argue within the context! |
Politics / The Failure And Laziness Of Nigerian Youths by thomasthomas: 6:18am On May 26, 2016 |
In recent times, I have observed that Nigerian youths are becoming more and more lazy! They graduate from school and hope to work in Shell or Zenith Bank and unfortunately since it doesn't seem to happen they now redirect their frustration by sitting behind the computer or type with their expensive phones and tablets on social media how things are bad in the country. Why did you go to school? Why not still be productive without the white collar job? In some courses, you can start off on your own without a paid employment. It is rather usual that these group of people only consume without producing anything. They consume two cups of garri without planting one stem of cassava, they also sit in drinking parlours with pocket monies given to them by their benevolent Uncle and Aunty to eat chicken they do not even know how to raise and drink beer every evening. Go to beer parlours in the evening you see them there drinking and eating as if they are productive. Today people complain about the price of tomatoes and blame it on President Buhari and I want to ask, is President Buhari the tomato farmer in this country? A lot of youths do not even care to ask why the price of tomatoes is high while that of onions is low? These are people with no reasoning because the smart youths instead of complaining are taking advantage of the situation to plant tomatoes while the lazy ones are on Facebook abusing President Buhari. Wake up Nigerian youths, things are not working too well yes first of all because the oil price is low and Nigeria is not making so much profit selling oil at the current oil price, secondly the Niger Delta Avengers are worsening the situation by crumbling the little economy through vandalisation of oil pipelines and electricity installations which a section of the country are applauding. When did we get this wicked to support evil elments in their desteuction of properties? You can be productive still, putting the blame on President Buhari for EVERYTHING shows laziness and lack of knowledge amd wisdom. Even in this economy people are still making money, good money! If you are hungry and have a land but yet you don't farm, then you have yourself to blame and NOT President Buhari. How many Nigerian youths are raising chicken today? Very few. Let the Youths of this country be productive and stop blaming the President for everything. The picture of Spain playing with tomatoes is the result of HARDWORK. Most Nigerian youths are used to earning money without working. Things have changed, you now have to start working to make money. No more share the money. I will like to borrow this post from a nairalander in another post: This is what u get when a people prefer opening drinking bars to processing garri When people prefer building hotels to greenhouses When people prefer build estates than building factory to produce fruit concentrate Nigerians una never see anything! Thank you! Will this make front page? 5 Likes |

Did I see Udom Emmanuel? This list is a joke. Gov Udom is struggling to pay salaries, a lot of workers are not paid their salaries and pensioners too are not paid. The site for the Automobile company at Itu has been taken over by weeds, nothing is happening there. Those contracts you mentioned are just on paper, it has not been awarded yet! Nothing is happening in Akwa Ibom apart from government propaganda. Please remove Gov. Udom Emmanuel from that list. Thanks 17 Likes 1 Share |
