Politics › Most Nigerians Are Not Honest: True Story by thomasthomas(op): 3:04pm On Jan 15, 2016 |
At times when I say things like this people get so mad and ask why I say so, but unfortunately that's the bitter truth. Don't trust most Nigerians with money. This one happened this afternoon. I wanted to recharge my phone and I made a mistake with my phone number and I bought N500 airtime for someone else I called the number and here is our conversation: Me: Hi Woman: yes, who is this? Me: My name is Thomas Woman: from where Me: from ABC, sorry I mistakenly recharged your phone... (cuts in) Woman: eh... sooo (sighs)... ends call. I just shook my head, it's not as if I wanted to get the money back as I had already recharged to call her but I just wanted to say, 'wow... your lucky day' enjoy your self! and to even think that she is a woman and probably a wife as I heard a child crying at the background speaks volumes... She will give testimony in church and other members will clap... I feel like posting her number here... but I will let it slide... But why are most Nigerians dishonest, imagine if I sent money mistakenly to her bank account? ... MODs please let this be on frontpage |

Check what it means to be governor from the consitution and then access Udom whether he qualifies! |

thexzy: But wait a minute, its as if the tribunal is only active in the South-South/East......what happens in the North & West? Was the election over there as free and fair as expected? The strange thing about this verdict by this so-called tribunal is that.....it only happens ђεrε the PDP Governors are in power. What'§ going on in this country? Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta etc....maybe there are yet more to be probed. For you guys to be fair.....also probe states that the APCs are in power so we obtain an equilibrium. Thanks. PDP in SE and SS rigged foolishly! Imagine snatching ballot boxes to thumb print and stuff in someone's house, using guns and matchet to threaten people not to come out for the election. This is what happen in these regions. Abia, Rivers and Akwa Ibom was the worst! |

MizMyColi:
In your heart of hearts, you know that Amaechi is not innocent of allegations levied against him.
But he must be rewarded for being the money bag that saw to Buhari's election victory. The war chest which he brought to the primaries after plundering and looting Rivers State comes to mind.
Btw, how do you know Akpabio is corrupt? Did you or any competent court of jurisdiction indict him?
hahaha... Then go to court and prove it and not throw tantrums like babies! Buhari's election was sponsored by the masses, people donated! Bring your facts and figures of the 'plundering' of rivers state treasury. I didn't say Akpabio is corrupt, I was just imagining Akpabio 'fighting' corruption But anyway, he was invited and interrogated by EFCC |
Politics › Re: Confirmation Of Rotimi Amaechi And Other Ministerial Nominees by thomasthomas: 5:47pm On Oct 29, 2015 |
MizMyColi: Well, I maintain that there is no smoke without fire. Nobody can rise against you if you've not offended them. Something must have stoked it. The question now should be, is it justifiable or not?
A judicial commission found him culpable. How can anyone in good conscience sweep that under the carpet? Something ought to have been done swiftly to clear such damaging report or get him indicted.
It won't have to take up to 6 months to throw out such "petty allegations" .....if that's really what it is. Especially seeing as he has the FG's backing. Is transparency too much to ask for? For a government that preaches change, is 6 months too long a time to prove to the world that they do not just talk the talk, but walk their talk?
That you have a clear conscience doesn't mean you fold your arms while you await the gods to save you. That's foolishness. Wisdom requires that you do all in your power, while you can, to clear your name. Your innocence, and getting the right people to plead your cause is an advantage!
Going by this government's chant against corruption, one would expect that anything with a corruption stain attached would have no stake in it, but that's not the case today, is it? A particular INEC chairman called Mahmud Yakubu comes to mind.
He who must come to equity ought to do so with clean hands. Please be guided.
Cry cry baby In your heart of hearts you know it is a false allegation by Wike and knowing PDP for who they are being a party of liars, the best thing to do is to ignore them. They have not brought any concrete evidence just mere speculations and conjectures. Wike has been shouting everywhere with his kangaroo panel indicting Amaechi of all the crimes in this world including stealing tooth pick from government house . PDP is finished with no moral integrity to discuss corruption! Imagine Akpabio fighting corrution. |

Few years ago, this thomasthomas said udoedeghe was the best and that he'll detrone akpabio from his sit, then, this evil thomasthomas was a poorly paid columnist in community pulse who's duty is to tarnish the image of anyone in power. Ignore them, let them continue to suffocate themselves with hatred on Akpabio and udom.
Ask him how many jobs his "saint umana" provided during his term as a commissioner and later Secretary to the state government. Attah was a governor in akwa ibom state and d only legacy he left behind was trying to impose his failed medical doctor son inlaw on us, but we vehemently rejected him and his son inlaw like a plague. Udom is all we want. haha... Imagine a grown up like you saying the only legacy attah left was trying to impose his son in-law. Like i said you are a teenger and was a toddler when obong attah was governor. When the history of Akwa Ibom is written Attahs name will be the leading who fought for the abolition of the offshore/onshore dichotomy! I'm sure you don't know what that means being a product of the uncommon transformation free and compulsory education Udom is just a caretaker governor! His is always jittery knowing that sooner or later he will be sacked! Has he now moved in the his official residence? |

IbokUtoroh: was umana okon umana part of the locust yrs of akpabio? Are u saying he was just a zombie and a dumb fool who couldnt make inputs to that administration? The youths who went to receive him at the airport, did they have foods on their tables and jobs after he finish decieving them? It will be so easy for a camel to pass thru the eye of needle than for a murderer, an occultic demon, a thief, embezzler, killer, oppressor, the devil to occupy that hiltop mansion. Unless he wasnt part of the locust yrs of govr akpabio, he didnt mastermind the killings and kidnappings, he didnt oppressed civil servants and also withholdng their entitlements, he will succeed. Just like buhari who was brought in the the thieves of the past admin, amaechi, saraki, kwankwaso, tinubu to clear the mess of jonathan, let udom clear the mess of akpabio and umana in this state. Akpubiak, locate the nearest lagoon or ibeno beach. So you are part of the silly gang lying against Umana? Umana may not be a saint but certain lies you people tell is silly! Do you even know the job of the Secretary to the State Government? Was Umana the Head of Civil Service to be able to withhold their entitlements like you said. I've heard several foolish lies against Umana from half baked students and graduates like you and I wonder why the so called leaders of tomorrow cannot reason objectively? Was Moses not brought up in Pharoahs house and did he not see the evil against his people as perpetrated by Pharoah himself? Did he not fight against Pharoah? Did he not succeed? If he did, then watch out! Udom cannot clear any mess rather Udom is here to cover the mess! Umana will clear the mess. Ask civil servants now between Udom and Umana who they prefer? |

Politics › Re: Ex-gov. Attah Quits Partisan Politics, Slams PDP by thomasthomas: 5:42am On Oct 28, 2015 |
I have taken time to read the comments above me except for one or two, others are from the so called silly and foolish youths who were toddlers when Obong Attah was governor or lived outside the state then or there were beneficiaries of Akpabio's locust years who see nothing right in Obong Attah administration.
Imagine the fools asking who is Obong Attah, funny enough the stupid guy posting pictures of Ibom Plaza in Uyo doesn't know it was built by Obong Attah, same with Nwaniba road. When I read comments from the so called youths, I see how silly they are! There is no objectivity in their arguments, there's is no creativity in their reasoning and there is analysis in their thinking.
Attah achieved so much yet he did not spend billions to broadcast and tell the whole world what he did and being that in 1999/2000, we just beginning to have GSM not even internet the silly youths did not have information of his achievements and since they hardly read, they will not care to go through government magazines at that time to see what government was doing.
How many roads were dualized in Uyo if Obong Attah did nothing. Uyo as at 1999 had just three dualized roads (Ikot Ekpene road, IBB Way and Udo Udoma Avenue) if I'm not mistaken.
Dualized roads built by Obong Attah in Uyo include: Atiku Abubakar, Abak Road, Nwaniba Road, Oron Road, Edet Akpan Avenue, Nsikak Eduok Avenue and other roads. Mine you some of these roads were not in existence as he built them after drawing the Master Plan for Uyo being an internationally known Architect!
I am sure kids with internet service today do not know anything about the onshore and offshore dichotomy in 2002/2003, they were probably in Primary one then.
It's a very foolish statement to call an elder Old man; don't we wish to get old someday? The youths of this generation are fools!
The so called 'old men' will continue to rule and lead the foolish youths until they have sense.
Akpabio's tenure was full of window dressing with so much media hype and little paperwork because reasoning like the youths who doesn't like institutionalised governance, he was able to hoodwink the gullible unreasonable silly youths!
Udom is finding it really difficult hitting the ground running because he cannot find anything to work with from Akpabio's administration! |

This is just a mere propaganda! Udom should step down, he can't be governor for 'winning' 9 LGAs. He is talking about job creation but funny enough the people that went to receive him are the jobless youths. If they had jobs they won't collect 1,000 to receive him. |
