Apply for spousal sponsorship but in the mean time, they can join you on visit visa

Mayn thanks Prof..... when I tried spousal sponsorship, I noticed they were asking me to create a new profile for them. Is this still necessary when I've included all their details as dependent including medicals in my own profile.

Hello fam,

Please, I need assistance from seniors in the house. When I applied for PR, I applied as married but unaccompany.

Now, my application has been granted and I have landed in Canada. I want to bring my wife and daughter in now but don't know the way to go about it. Though I've raised a Web form for it but I'm yet to get a response.

I will appreciate if I can be guided on how to go about it so that my family can join me here.

Thanks

Strange request since the child is not accompanying and consent provided now may not be valid in many years time. Try these templates though. https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/children/consent-letter

eMedicals, passport, birth certificate and POF are intact but her photo was not provided. I am not sure if it is needed. Maybe people who have applied with children can assist.

Mmamaroon:

What about birth certificate and photo? I think these may be compulsory placeholders for children....or maybe it has changed or are not required for unaccompanying children...cross check your profile to be sure though.

If you provided eMedicals, passport, photo, birth certificate and POF (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html) covering the child, you guys should be fine.

I don't think custody docs are required if child is not going with you to Canny.

Many thanks @mmamaroon
The child belongs to the PA and was added as a dependant. We could not submit her medicals and passport at the point of submission due to unavoidable issues and this was explained with LOE. However, the medicals and passport was done later and we raised a webform to submit both.

Also, the child was listed as unaccompanying. Is there still need for proof of full custody(PA is the biological father of the child).
Mmamaroon:

Log into your GC Key and cross check that you added the child/step child as a dependent. Check that you have done medicals for them (PCC & Biometrics too, if they are over 18 years old). Also ensure you have enough POF to cover them.

Reconfirm that you have uploaded all these as well as the placeholder items for children: passport, eMedicals form, photo & birth certificate.

If PA's step child is accompanying, then PA may need permission of the other biological parent (not spouse) or court docs showing PA has full custody.

A LESSON TO LEARN

Seniors in the house, please assist.

One cannot be too sure on this journey. Please, how do you confirm if you have truly and suucessfully added your child/stepchild in your application.

Just to avoid unnecessary and avoidable drama.

I have the passport already and I've sent it via web form along with her medicals.

listowell:

You did well. If you can get the child's passport, go get it. If they call you for an interview, go say what it is. No fear! No marriage, No divorce paper.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Thonnydon: 11:45pm On Aug 22, 2020
I included LOE when submitting the application that I am not married to the child's mother and the child was in her custody which denied me the opportunity of getting her Int'l passport (reason why her birth certificate was included) and why she will be unaccompany. But I guess the officer in charge is still assuming we were formerly married.
saskatoonguy:

And there was no LOE when you were submitting the application?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Thonnydon: 11:02pm On Aug 22, 2020
I included my child in the application. I had the child earlier before getting married (not to the child's mother). As such, I was never married to her. They saw the mother's name on the birth certificate and noted that the name is different from that of my spouse and no divorce certificate was included in the application. Since, we were never married, there is no how I will include a divorce certificate. What do you suggest?
Seniors in the house should also assist with their opinion

which additional information was requested? Raise webform and add the information if it is in the gcsm note.

Boss,

Please help a brother. I requested for GCMS note and noticed they require additional information on my profile and it is yet to be communicated to me either through mail or my application. Can I go ahead to provide such information or I need to wait for them to request for it. Also, I noticed the offices recommended interview. AVO...... 13 month post AOR
sesan01:

Haha please don't be tired. Hang in there. I requested for my GCMS notes recently, so that I can know what's going on. The last time I raised a webform, they said Criminality passed, Eligibility (under review), Security not yet initiated. I guess we're on a long thing with this pandemic slowing things down. The average processing time for Montreal applications before COVID was 8 months. The wait is a little tiring though but my current busy schedule has helped me take my mind off it. I would advise you to request for GCMS notes to know the latest update on your application.

Boss,
Please, I will need this contact if the person is reliable and trustworthy
Prisscindy:

I can link you up to an immigration officer in Abk. For minors, it should cost about 30-35k including the fast track fee and the passport should be ready in few days. @femcold

Good evening people,

My application for PR was submitted on 26th of July, 2019 and the estimated completion date is 26th of January, 2020.

However, the most recent update on the status of my application is a confirmation of completed biometrics dated 9th of September, 2019. It is almost three months from the estimated date of completion.

I have filled the web form on the site and they replied that my file is located at the Canadian visa office in Accra, Ghana. I have sent a mail to the visa office in Ghana and did not get a response from them.

I'm worried about my application as it looks to be dormant without any update on it. I will appreciate any information that can be of help as the wait is becoming frustrating.
