Family › Re: Fathers, how Do You Feel When Your Daughters Hide From You To Dress Up. by thorpido(m): 8:16am On Jul 27, 2015
Any father with a teenage daughter should excuse her whenever she needs to dress up and should knock before entering her room. It's the right thing to do.
I know a family where it's no big deal sha and there's no perversion.

So painful that you ended almost like your mum without a descendant. Ah... Whitney was wonderful

Bobby brown f*********k Uuuuu
Bobby Brown doesn't take all the blame.Blame girls for liking bad boys. She has herself to blame too.
Moreover, she had started taking cocaine before she met Bobby. She had a brother who took the stuff and introduced her to it.

RIP Bobbi

Sorry Ahnie, didn't see this cos my moniker wasn't mentioned.
Most cough syrups are not okay for babies less than 6mths.What you should do is get Vicks vapour rub to use.It helps.
If the cough persists, take the baby back to the hospital.

Thanks 4 ur response doc. Pls is there anything i can do 2 bring on labour naturally b4 monday?
Note..I'm 41wks 2day n still no sign of labor! Just back pains, waist pain n pelvic born pains plus tiredness n alot of braxton hicks...TIA
Walk around a lot.Take long strolls.
If you are up to it and your hubby is,have sex.Do it everyday hence. Also stimulate your n1pples occasionally.Your sexual hormones are stimulated that way and it helps to induce labour.

Not in all cases. There are grooms who solely financed their weddimg with little or no contribution from the bride
I didn't say all cases. If he can be one of the grooms who finance their own weddings, then he doesn't have a problem. He just has to tell them when he is ready and let them know all arrangements have been made.

Can he fund his own wedding?
Weddings in Nigeria is usually funded by parents and extended family. The parents are counting the cost of two weddings within a short time.He will have to bow to his parents except he can arrange his own wedding or wait longer.

Good morning doc. I went 4 my ANC on monday @40wks+2days,my doc tried 2 sweep my membrane 2 get things started but he couldn't,he says my os is close n d baby is still floating. Is dis normal at 40wks? I mean d close os n pls wat does he mean by *baby is still floating*? what re my chances of goin in2 labor b4 my next appt which is on monday? cos I don't want 2 be induced as my doc said dat wil be d next step if labor doesn't start b4 den...I'm so scared! Sorry 4d long epistle n thanks in anticipation.
At 40wks,you are due.Your OS being closed means your labour has not started. The opening of the uterus is closed. What the doctor tried to do was to initiate labour.Your baby floating means he/she is still surrounded by the amniotic sac intact. It is not abnormal to have the OS closed at 40wks but the baby is due and if labour does not start on its own,the doctor may have to induce it.You don't want to keep the baby forever in there.
Your labour could start any moment from now but if it doesn't,you may have to be induced as the doctor said on your next appointment.Induction does not harm you or the baby,so you don't have to be scared.

Some men are insensitive. If a lady is dating a guy,his level of hygiene is one of the things to look out for.If she marries a man like the Op's hubby, then she has to live with it.
It takes a lot for such men to change.

Ahnie,sorry.
The vigilante will last for some months and could be up to a year.I believe you are full time at home now,so try to catch some sleep when the baby sleeps during the day too.
If you have someone with you - MIL or your mum,you could get her to help you with the baby sometimes.Even if you are on exclusive breas.tfeeding, you could extract and the baby takes that while you rest.

It's 2.4 X something in size.
Her tummy is quite big for 14 weeks gestation period.

A specialist is handling her now. So far so good.

How have u been?
Yea her tummy will be bigger than normal.Once she has a specialist handling her,he will give the best management.

Just clean up after him while still reminding him to keep the bathroom clean whenever he uses it.Get a new pair of slippers and place it outside of the bathroom door.Tell him to remove the pair he uses before stepping on the footmat and he can wear the other pair.

You will have to take your mind off some things in marriage. You didn't marry someone you grew up with in the same house.
There are some couples still quarrelling over where to press the toothpaste tube - the bottom or the middle.
Romance › Re: I Need Advice. I Have Been In A Relationshio For 5years. by thorpido(m): 10:56pm On Jul 22, 2015
Give him time but I wouldn't advise two years, make it one year.
I believe you've done NYSC.Work towards starting something to bring an income while looking out for a better job.I believeif you keep at it,you can make something out. Both of you can work out something in the next one year.

You have to make up your mind that if you're getting married,it has to be low key.You have to convince family it has to be that way and you could delay childbearing for a while.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Husband Wants Me To Quit My Job. by thorpido(m): 9:32am On Jul 22, 2015
It's a tough decision to make because finance is a big deal in marriage. If you can convince your husband to give you a probationary period, you could use that time to see how it works and also try to source for other jobs.Quit if ther pressure is on.
A happy home is important but let your hubby know, you have to work together.

Perhaps you think so much of her,it gets into your subconscious and resurfaces. In your dreams.
You say you don't live in the same state, how often do you come across each other? It's good you are working so you are occupied.Get some extra-curricular activities to do so you're busy with your life. It'll make you think less about anyone especially people who are not contributing to your progress.

I hope you have a spiritual life too.Be prayerful.
Family › Re: My Husband Would Rather Masturbate Than Have Sex With Me by thorpido(m): 10:45pm On Jul 21, 2015
Your husband is a mastorbation addict.Guys who are hooked on it usually don't(or take time to) get used to the female organ.
Another thing is that he must also be into you.If he is not really sexually attracted to you,it will be an issue.Try to patiently help your hubby kick the habit and step up your bedroom skills.

I wish your friend the best of luck. I don't know much about that stuff.

Ask bellong Abi na thorpido.
I don't know which one of them it is that has some knowledge in the health field.
@Moca,most women who are pregnant with a co-existing fibroid can still give birth. However, the position of the fibroid and it's size will determine how it turns out.If the fibroid is growing fast(pregnancy hormones also feed it) and it's large,it can be a difficult pregnancy and can be detrimental to the baby because it contests for space and nutrients.

I've seen a few bad cases and the women are sadly given the option of a termination of the pregnancy. If a woman can pull through, she will have to endure and manage with analgesics. You said the case in point is 16weeks,she's still got a long way to go.

With God all things are possible.
Family › Re: Please Save My Life/home. by thorpido(m): 11:21am On Jul 21, 2015
Your husband want another baby and now he's got himself a bounty.
Abortion is out of it.It's risky at this stage anyway.Keep the pregnancy and have the babies. If you can't take care of them, you can put them up for adoption later.

Call your husband's bluff.Let him. go ahead and file for the divorce.Make sure you intimate his family of your situation.
Family › Re: What's Your Take On This? by thorpido(m): 10:23am On Jul 21, 2015
It happens a lot where the mother is a single mother like jeffreyjamez said.In such families, the grandmother is often the one that the child looks up to more as a mother and the mother is often okay with the status quo.
In other families,it's because they hear other relatives calling them that. The parents ought to correct that as they grow up however.

haba,i don know say Obama na tall guy since when he be senator, both Buhari and Obama have all the qualities of a leader, both physical and mental, can you see how they both tower over others? Cos they're the leaders and controllers, the first tall guy,President of the strongest nation, the second tall guy, president of The most populous black nation
I knew he was tall but standing near Buhari who I know is tall just kind of reaffirms it.
Good height, confidence and poise for a leader is invaluable.
