Daejumong:Where is the account? |
Sapasenator:Of course. He wrote Ecclesiastes, Songs of Solomon, and most of Proverbs. |
MrBroke:Yimu |
Phantom233:Emotions. And then when you're done they'll just allow walk away right? Make una try dey reason before una type. |
MYKELDAYO:Have you killed someone before? Do you really think you can do it? |
AfroBeatDiary:Show me a scientific paper or any reliable Internet link to support this. Carbon dating is not used to determine the age of living things. |
dauntless15:Very reasonable comment. All these posters threatening fire and brimstone are nothing but e-warriors and empty chest beaters. A person who perpetrates this level of wickedness must be evil, diabolical, and I'm also guessing influential. Trying to respond violently will only trigger a cycle of violence that will lead to something more catastrophic. There no need to attack with force unless you have the resources and the heart to see the fight to the end. I'm guessing the OP and her family do not, else the man wouldn't have attacked the woman in the first. The best course is to involve social media as some people have suggested, so the idiot can be shamed into doing right by the woman (whatever that means to the family). |
Talismann:With Starlink you also need a UPS as it takes time for it to reestablish Internet connectivity when there's power outage. However, in terms of speed and reliability, Starlink is by far better than every network provider in this country. |
Max24:You are not serious. |
UjuJoan2:I agree. There are no short-cut in life and there are some principles that are just true, there’s no way around them!Strongly disagree. There are short cuts o. It’s true that some people end up struggling all their lives with nothing to show for it, but I can assure you that a lot poor people are just plain lazy! We'll leave that to the philosophers. I would rather focus of helping people see the advantages of hard work, than say “there’s nothing you can do about your situation, just pray for luck”!!Having this information is also part of the advantages you have. Many people are not fortunate enough to stumble upon mind-shifting ways of thinking. You see the billionaire Obi Cubana, he was a hustler from day one. He started with odd buying and selling businesses, washing peoples clothes etc. Today people look at him and call him “lucky”. Maybe if he didn’t do those odd job, if he was waiting for a rich uncle to bless (or a rich husband in our case), he wouldn’t have come into the opportunity that has made him the billionaire that we admireFrom drycleaning to billionaire. Hmm...I can bet you that that is not the full story. The major variable in that equation is not known to you or I. Being a billionaire is NOT the standard here, but basic financial freedom should be a norm, rather than a novelty. It’s the belief that we are helpless that makes us unwilling to try!!!Having the right paradigm (way of thinking) is also an advantage. Most people are born with the wrong one and are not exposed to sufficient mindset-altering information to effect a change in their circumstances. This is what I'm saying. |
Max24:No. Leadership must be tailored to the context of each society. What is our number one problem? Leaders with no values. Leaders who only concern themselves with what they can get from the treasury. So, we would want those who would place national interests above theirs. Your mistake is thinking that being religious equates having integrity. That's not true. A religious person can lack integrity and vice versa. Just get a leader who is not interested in stealing and see the progress we'll make within a short period. We don't need the best infrastructure, whatever that means. We just need infrastructure. Good roads, power, healthcare etc. You don't need any grand ideas to make those happen. You only need to be willing. Also, what visionary ideas were the people you mentioned elected for? Use Trump as an example please ![]() I'm not sure you understand the workings of the American electoral system. |
Max24:And that's what Nigeria needs. Basic things like roads, salaries, and other amenities which will serve as the springboard for future accomplishments. We don't even have the basics but you want someone who will claim to build rockets or a super highway from Lagos to Calabar without actually getting anything done? We don't need "visionary" leaders, whatever that means to you. The things we need have already been achieved decades ago by other nations. All we need is a willing, honest leader whose primary goal is not to enrich himself and his cronies at public. That my friend is what Obi represents. |
UjuJoan2:Yen yen yen I was watching a video on Femi Babs Facebook page this evening and something he said sums up your attitude. "The man who has found mercy will always think his neighbors are lazy" You've not seen people who knocked on the same doors you did and they just refused to open. I understand the place of tenacity, hard work, and perseverance but I can bet that there were advantages in your background, great or small that OP probably did not have, advantages that made it possibe for you to do whatever it is you did. If you were exposed to the same educational, mental, environmental, familial, and even spiritual circumstances as the OP, are you sure your outcomes would have been different from hers? In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell explains that achievement is a function of what we do as much as where we're from. A quote from the book: ''Success is not exceptional or mysterious. It is grounded in a web of advantages and inheritances, some deserved, some not, some earned, some just plain lucky." My point: some people are dealt a bad hand from the start. We must always factor this in when bragging about our "accomplishments." |
Moshybear:Oh. Sorry. ![]() Life doesn't always go in a straight line. Sometimes, people who say "damn it" to life and take what others call crazy risks get the best outcomes. Hope you find something positive soon. |
Moshybear:Can't you get in touch with her for assistance. Or were you judging her life choices then? |
MaxInDHouse:Very funny. The same thing goes for Jainism, Buddhism, and all other religions with a pacifist slant. Jainists for example forbid the killing of all living things including animals. They are strictly vegetarians. So, what is special about what you've written? |
papyjaypaul:True. The media sells sex and fuels these desires more than necessary. The modern man is assaulted on all sides by all manner of sexual stimuli. We almost stand no chance. |
MaxInDHouse:You self talk true. Who is seeing your "good works" and glorifying your father in heaven. The only thing you're doing is getting doors slammed shut in your face. |
MaxInDHouse:Standing tall over the others? You dey catch cruise abi na wetin? ![]() |
pansophist:It's just biology. The male brain deactivates sexual desire after orgasm no matter who you sleep with. Evolutionary biologists describe it as nature's trick to get us to procreate. It's not really about indiscipline or lacking self-control. |
Eriokanmi:That's more like it. |
Eriokanmi:Day Waterman pays up to 20m per session? Are you sure? I have cousins that attend that school. |
pocohantas:Kai! Proud woman. ![]() You don win ![]() |
pocohantas:Ignore or report?Seriously. You are hard to ignore. There is a thread about Tiwa Savage on the frontpage right now. There is an insulting comment by MyVillage.People directed at you and Jenny.clay on the front page. I had to check his name twice to remember the moniker. What do you and Jenny.clay have in common, you are always in our face. Ignoring or reporting cannot work. Yes, I take delight in hitting on the pain points. Not my fault that you cry! Remember, the forum's rules FIRST. [/quotes] Crying? You are the one invoking forum rules. Not true. Justice is selectively and inconsistently administered here. You don't need a block button not to cross path with me. You just need to get a life. Not true. I have a life and I saw your name on that thread just now. You're like the Kim Kardashian of Nairaland, famous for being famous and a lightening rod for the ire of many. Your fault by the way. My "good women" comment is clear to women who know how men like you instigate women against themselves on Nairaland. But never pick any or even do them well. The only time you know there are "good women" is when you want to insult me. Have you ever defended these women when they are insulted daily by males you know right here? Do you think some of these women that have chosen a different part are not part of the evening newspapers and women that I defend? Why is that not your focus? Have you ever gotten provoked like you do by my comments when you see these male comments? Did you quote any single male to caution them here? NO, YOU DIDN'T. So don't worry about my fellow women. We are fine! You don't care about them.I will not bother responding to them because they don't have your pull. They don't have a name, you do, Kim Kardashian. If Seu.n makes a comment no matter how seemingly insignificant, he gets a lot of responses due to his reputation. You've built a reputation (not necessarily a good one) over the years. Na the price of fame be that. If Seu.n, Ishilov.e, Deepsigh.t, or one of the popular users make your kind of comments, how do you think the reactions to their comments will be? Those boys posting silly comments will get banned and create new monikers immediately, who has the time to be keeping up with them? Except you of course ![]() Since you know a wealthy man can't pick my kind, once again, pick your kind. I really want to see how you treat her.Ouch. Now that I see this comment again I think it was in bad taste. That was below the belt. I apologize. PS: Those kinds of insensitive comments come from the primal desire to inflict maximum pain on the other party. You also do it and even revel in it. But no vex sha. Truly sorry. |
pocohantas:You don't know a man like me. I'm sorry. Nobody has which time? Is this your first moniker? The answer is NO. So what exactly are you forming? You don't have time to be on Nairaland for a year, but you have time to create folder for my life events in your head? I will flatter myself, young man.No it's not. But I just checked the usage statistics for my other moniker. Na you still dey win ![]() And I don't know your other accounts. [b]If I report you and you do same, I am sure you would get banned first. If my comment provokes you, please work on your stability. Or use the report the button. There are rules guiding this forum, I am loyal/obedient to them, not your weak feelings and emotions. You are sounding dumber with each post you make. There are comments that provoke a group of people. You make them all the time and cry when you get a commensurate response. It's just like a guy making an "evening newspaper" comment and saying that women are unstable for getting riled up. Does that make sense to you? Or are you just being deliberately dense? If I make a comment that affects a tribe and someone from that tribe responds aggressively, will I be right to call them unstable. There are sensitive topics that trigger both genders, you take pride in hitting on those pain points and turn around to cry when the affected parties respond in kind. Does that make sense? The only reason I'll be banned is because you've ingratiated yourself with the mods because of how often you're here. You are essentially a mod on this forum. I've not broken any rule. If you want this forum to get better, use your influence to advocate for a block feature and see whether you and I will ever cross paths again. I paused my work to respond to you. Maybe you will understand why a wealthy man chose me and you are left for the "good women". Naso life be. KikikikikiI don close work. Unlike you, I don't pause my work to respond to people on Nairaland. See the difference. PS: Your "good women" comment will be provocative to a group of women who have chosen a route different from yours. You see how you deliberately provoke again and again. Maybe they are also unstable. Or maybe you are just a narcissist who can't see beyond her desires. |
Sapasenator:Na just light banter. Na she take am over serious. |
pocohantas:Now you've responded, leaving me no choice. Oh, it is deep my dear. For all your weyrey, I acknowledge that you're a smart woman. I grudgingly admit that I may even admire that about you, but there's no atom of sense in what you just typed. Haba. You're slipping. Keep up. You should look it up first. Nairaland is a forum for conversing. It is normal to have number of POSTS. That is what we are here for. What is abnormal is keeping track of a forum users life for 10yrs and obsessing over their definition of "man". I wish I can do same for or with you. But you are not that important and would never be.Ha. You don dey smoke weed? Just click on anyone's profile and you'll see their site usage statistics: Number of posts, date of registration, time spent online (yours is one year by the way) Don't flatter yourself. Nobody has that time...Except people like you. I don't roll with anyone and any unbiased person can see how you guys come for me everytime and hope to be ignored.Woman na woman. Now you want to play the victim card. Your comments are typically provocative (deliberately so), and they have a tendency to appear on the first page of threads where many people see them. I wonder why. If your comments were not on page one, this interaction most likely would not have happened. You don't get to cry foul if people respond to your provocation in like manner. Maybe you are not as clever as I thought after all. Erelu.Roz, Jenny.clay, that Righteousness guy, all of una na almost the same. Na small thing you take better pass them. Go buy a laptop or steal one. Hopefully you don't get lynched in the process.Na wa o. I paused a movie on my laptop to respond to you. But now that you mention it, I could use an upgrade. Shey your wealthy "man" go fit help me with Alienware or Macbook Pro? |
pocohantas:Yeah. Serial killers are also consistent in how they operate. It's not necessarily a point on your favor. Why are you pained he settled for me? How about you settle for your own kinda woman and show me how it is done? I bet you will never do that. Epe Michael Jackson.Pained? It's not that deep. Your comments are all over thread. I had to respond. We don't even know if the 'he' exists. I don't get the Michael Jackson reference by the way. My Oprah Winfrey reference was to the mogul's relationship with her "man". Browse am if you no understand. No, I didn't jazz him. Neither am I part of his harem. Na only me balance put. Life is beyond Nairaland and sadly, in the real world, it is not men like you making the rules. Nairaland is where you scream the loudest. Which is why I tell ladies not to fret. It is not you guys controlling wealth or doing the marrying. You scream more than most on Nairaland. You're definitely in the top 1% of screamers. Don't know what you're on about. Real world, real world but you are always on Nairaland. Look at the sheer number of posts you've made on this forum talking (mostly quarelling) with faceless people. This is probably not the only account you've opened on this forum. Another assignment for you: Look up cognitive dissonance on the Internet. I don't care what you think. You are not that necessary. You got some attention today. I am sure you have been refreshing for my response. I do hope this makes your day.Ode. My postscript was not for you. It was for other readers who may wrongly put me in the same category as the guys you roll in the mud with regularly on this forum. I was really hoping you would not respond. Your responding means I have to respond back. Typing on a phone is hard work. |
cococandy:It's natural. Men are obsessed with women and vice-versa. Do you think you've said anything? |
pocohantas:Na so. For the past 10 years you've been spewing a variation of this story on this forum. What does a man mean? Husband and man na the same thing? I advise ladies to do same in this generation because the dating pool is messed up and you have to ensure certain filth do not have access to you.Yen, yen, yen.... Everybody get mouth for Internet. That said, I am with a wealthy man.Ogbomosho Oprah Winfrey. Since how many years? Not wealthy husband, not wealthy fiancee? Wealthy man? Why will a wealthy man settle for someone like you? You jazz am? Is it that you're part of a harem or are you just making things up as usual? .. Like Jenny.clay, Erelu.roz and the other nutters that litter this space. PS: I don't think people should be shamed for their marital status regardless of their age. I just felt like calling out your crap. |
sagenaija:It means it wasn't God speaking. Paul did not have God's mind on the subject so he used his mind, and was honest enough to admit it. Hence my point. |
Will he be playing only those he's better than? What if he encounters a better player? |
