Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nlng Lastest by thought: 3:18pm On May 10, 2007 |
Nairalands, lets be patient and channel our efforts towards other progressive things. All these complaints here and there, wishes and over anxiousness would not pay. As for me, anytime NLNG feel they want to start calling fine. I cant kill myself because they are wasting time. If they like they can use one year, to process whatsoever. The first stage took just two weeks to provide results for over 18000 people who sat for the exams simultaneously all over the country, now we are about one third of that number, the exams where written on different days and yet 6 weeks after no one knows what is going on. At least courtesy demands that when we call, they tell us what stage of the process they are and probably, why the delay, but who cares, this is nigeria and anything goes!!! all we get is "it would be out in two weeks time". This "two weeks" that we started hearing right from the examination hall does not want to end. Most of these employers forget that they were once job seekers!!!!! When they are ready, I would be ready but for now I have better things to do than to keep brooding over NLNG and their inefficiencies or otherwise. Peace out |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Who Has Gotten A Job From Schlumberger? by thought: 8:08pm On May 07, 2007 |
I think they now prefer doing it in house since we hardly hear or see any advert yet we hear rumuours of them conducting tests. Here and there. |

seniorak47 thank you very much. It is people like lionidis that cause the problems we face in Nigeria- self righteous praise singers who outwardly behave like saints but otherwise inside. lionidis had better change his attitude as it is obvious that he belongs to the group who pretend in order to gain favour from others even if it affects his dear friends," wolves in sheeps clothing". It is my hope lionidis takes on a voluntary job so that he doesnt get paid or is paid a token afterall he is serving his country Nigeria. I am not trying to be unpatriotic here, but simply realistic. A fat salary option should be jump at provided you are satisfied with the job conditions and it does not go contrary to the rule of law. this does not make you an evil person or unpatriotic, rather it gives you better job satisfaction makes you think less "monetary evil" if you are that kind of person. If a company picks someone because he has better qualities than I do, why shouldnt I, if given the opportunity pick a company because it offers me better satisfaction (be it in terms of money, job satisfaction or whatever) - my friend reason. From lionidis attitude, you can tell that he is someone who lacks objectivity is judgement. So you would pass us through hell just because we are Nairalanders and are simply experssing our views. Come on, that is childish and probably the reason why i hope you don't get into the HR department of any company (don't miss understand me, I mean you can get higher positions but not this one) You may fail people because you just don't like their face, identity, ethnic or religious affiliations and not based on objective analysis. 1 Like |

Please fellow nairalanders anyone with useful info for me should help out . Dont mind my comments here i was just replying a frustrated person. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Mobil And Chevron Invitation by thought: 8:58pm On May 03, 2007 |

kewena I beg to disagree with you I think Eeyore has mostly likely crossed. I don't think they would call him only to tell him that he did not make it. But Eeyore how could you make that kind of call without ensuring you had enough credit. Anyway "smile half" the remaining half would come when you see the mail. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Exxonmobil Test by thought: 12:07pm On Apr 30, 2007 |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Chevron Drilling Representatives: Why Was I Not Invited? by thought: 8:20pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
obiki you already have the answer. You can imagine a situation where thousands of people are writing an exam(2.1 and 2.2) how hectic it would be. of course the HR guys have a capacity they can handle(they are not machines and even at that). So by the time you had submitted, they most likely would have had the number of candidates they can handle. it should have been on a first come first serve basis. Except probably, they decided to put you in place of someone who submitted earlier. enthusiasm matters a lot you know , not just the grade. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by thought: 6:38pm On Apr 26, 2007 |
belabela, why dont you help us out, since it seems you are the one with the ideas. At least you also wrote the exam else you wouldnt know the phone extension. One thing you should know is that there are so many intelligent nigerians and your option has already been taken to no avail. Thats the simply reason why people are "lamenting" about the delay. Well, still call them who knows you may have the "MIRACLE CALL". |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Schlumberger Test, Any Ideas? by thought: 3:24pm On Apr 21, 2007 |
It consists of maths, mechanical reasoning and spatial reasoning. The maths is just simple mathmatics, o level, the mechanical reasoning has to do with pulleys, gears, water flowing in pipes etc. the spatial reasoning has to do spatial checking were you would be given a master diagram and you are expected to spot a difference in the other diagrams and state their coordinates. It is just like that we did in NLNG(if you wrote the exam). |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nestle's Marketing Test Reult. by thought: 8:57pm On Apr 20, 2007 |
If you wrote it last month, then going by the way they work, they would have called those who passed two weeks after for an interview. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nestle Test by thought: 8:51pm On Apr 20, 2007 |
men they have finished the recruitment since. It is now history. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Missed Nlng Call, What Do I Do? by thought: 5:22pm On Apr 14, 2007 |
