Shame on Obi and that his datti running mate. Racoon: Ignoramus! As if Soyinka in the 1980s when he served as FRSC head, knew that IBB would nullify elections later in 1993. If you are empty headed, stop making a public disgrace of your ignorance. 115 Likes 27 Shares |

immortalcrown: Obi's opinion is not about wrong or right, he did not challenge the authenticity of the budget amount or claim it should have been a lesser amount. It is simply his own preference for more library books as opposed to government having records of the poor. Simply put, he does not see the need for such expenditure. An ignorant fellow who does not know the benefit of having a digital database of the poor to effect better national planning. 3 Likes 1 Share |

kokoA: As simple as ABC. Peter Obi has his own preferred way to spend the money, but he his not the President. Let him go to the streets and tell the masses that he would rather buy more books in the national library while they are hungry. He was not called wicked and visionless Governor for nothing. 2 Likes 1 Share |

immortalcrown: Your question is not for me to answer. I did not draw up the budget, nor did Peter Obi make any criticism about how the budget came about. Peter Obi is suggesting that the funds could do something else, just as his own suggested spending of the funds could also do something else that other critics think is more critical. Criticism should be constructive and not default. I repeat, if he becomes President, he should worry about books in the national library and not about the poor. 3 Likes 1 Share |

SpatialKing: Do you understand the importance of having a record/database of the poor in the country, and the resultant national planning efforts that will come off it? Is that record not also a national library for national planning, or Peter Obi is too analog to know that a digital database is also a library? Peter Obi thinks a National Library should only be about books and educational materials? A real doofus he is. 3 Likes 1 Share |

immortalcrown: The message Obi is passing is that he too would have spent the funds on something that does not address the hunger in the land. The government has dedicated such funds to set up a structure that will generate and track records about those who are poor in Nigeria, which I reckon is to allow subsequent planning. Obi is not interested in that, and complained that the National Library needs more funds and it is more critical. So he has his own ideas, as the government have theirs. Just as it was more critical to have Anambra public funds saved in his bank while Anambrarians who suffered his actions confirmed he was a wicked and visionless Governor. If he becomes the President, let him spend public funds on his own ideas, while the critics then also suggest what better way things could have been done. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

immortalcrown: Do you agree that such funds could have been better expended on the national library as posited by Peter Obi? Would the masses that are suffering multidimensional poverty consider that as a better expenditure? If the same amount had been budgeted for the national library, the loser would have found another excuse why that was not good enough. In his own time as Governor, he locked up public funds in his own bank so that the bank can thrive and his own personal wealth can grow. Yet the masses of Anambra suffered and many were destitute in Lagos while many languished in Asian jails when they embraced drug trafficking to escape the poverty in their state that then had this doofus as Governor. Then he hid his corruption enabled state capture wealth in offshore accounts under his daughter's name. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Nonny95: Stop disgracing yourself. The SDP that you think you know only got founded a few years ago with INEC allowing new party registration from time to time. The SDP of 1992/1993 elections died with the start of the Abacha regime. Anyone can chose to restart NCNC or Action Group too after many decades of non-existence. AD had many factions with many factional Chairmen, as manipulated by PDP to prevent competition. The faction of AD that Tinubu belonged to, chose to form another party and exited AD with all its political offices it had in the different states and at the National Assembly. It was not about a single man jumping about to another existing party, but a faction of a party forming another party from scratch. Effort and patience, something many political prostitutes and ticket hunters like Atiku and Obi, do not have. 1 Like |

Nonny95: You are both ignorant and a hypocrite if you do not understand the difference between a political entity evolving versus a member of a political entity moving about to partake in the benefits available in other political entities. I ask you again, what work and patience did Peter Obi ever put in to grow the party he belonged to in 1998 to become the Labour Party he will soon decamp from? 1 Like |

Nonny95: You must be a kid not to know that both SDP and NRC which were the political parties that contested elections in 1992 and 1993, were already defunct by the time Abacha began his own democratic transition in 1995/1996 with 5 new political parties. All the 5 political parties of the Abacha era were also sent packing by the Abdulsalami regime that sanctioned the created of only 3 political parties (PDP, APP, and AD) out of about 8 new parties that applied. So what sense does it make talking about a defunct party just because another party chose to bear the same name many decades later? Tinubu joined AD as a founding member in 1998, then with all the factional problems that PDP and Obasanjo was sponsoring in the other contending political parties, his own faction in AD pulled out and formed AC/ACN, then ACN went into a political merger with CPC and ANPP and factional APGA to form APC. Tinubu has been growing his same political group to become the ruling APC we have now in Nigeria. Same way Peat Marwick merged to become KPMG with the PM being Peat Marwick, same can be said about PWC. What work and patience did Peter Obi ever put in to grow a small party into a national party, besides jumping about looking for finished work all the time? 2 Likes |

Even if Dangote buys Crude Oil at international price that has been set, then his refined products should be cheaper that what we import, as importation (shipping) and port and custom charges have been totally eliminated. Also, the cost of labour to operate his refinery in Nigeria is way cheaper than the cost of labour of the foreign refineries whose products we have been importing. 113 Likes 8 Shares |
