Kingosytex:

If it were to be in Nigeria, one idiot would have switched off the server and tag it technical glitch. He would manipulate the results, he wouldn't care of the total votes cast is greater than the number of registered voters. He would declare his candidate winner and start screaming 'Go to court'
Follow the results closely, about 8 heavyweights parliamentary candidates have lost their seats already, they aren't returning to the parliament. The army, police, and other security agencies aren't used to harass, intimidate, or rig elections.
Nigeria has a lot to learn. Did many heavy weights not lose their seat to the hurricane Buhari effect in 2015 when APC sacked Jonathan from power? But many of you still blame Jega and INEC for allowing Jonathan to be democratically and constitutionally sacked from power in that same election. And the 2023 election that President Tinubu won, all votes were rightfully tallied and the winner with the highest votes and the only one who met the national spread requirements of all the other candidates was also rightfully declared winner. The problem that exist is the attitude of the losers and their losing followers. That is why many losing supporters of Jonathan still blame him for rightfully accepting defeat to Buhari in 2015. They simply cannot accept defeat. |

They Yoruba are in government… but not in power and never in charge . See as you used your own hand to unmask your fears. Yet you will be courting Southern support a d denigrating Yorubas? For whose benefit? For your sectional benefit that you expect others to empower you to their own disadvantage? Walahi! You are not the brightest apple in the bunch. Tinubu has shown every Nigerian that if we can have Buhari and a Northern focused rule, every region that gets to power can do the same. Tinubu is not only in power, but fully in charge. |

nairalanda1: That's why we don't have a viable opposition. At the end of the day, when the dust settles, they all are running to the ruling party.
And these people are from LP, a party that many NIgerians were putting their hope in. Now see how hope is dashed.
Some years ago, someone once said that there are two kinds of Nigerian politicans, those in the ruling party and those outside who want to join the ruling party. Every day, the guy is proven right.
People should stop blaming electoral losses on rigging. Na our politicans wey dey do themselves. You remind me how Peter Obi also ran to the then ruling party, PDP. This was after he had sworn to never abandon APGA and even ridicled PDP in the process. Then he ran away from PDP when he realised he would not defeat Atiku who had previously put him in the national spotlight by making him his running mate in 2019. Most politicians do not have any integrity. To them, the political parties are just Special Purpose Vehicles. "I will die for APGA" would soon find his way to another party to continue his ticket hunting entitlement without putting in any work.

Atiku and Obi both said they will remove fuel and forex subsidy from day 1.
What we are seeing is the demonstration that they would not have had the balls to do it and we would be ina deeper mess because they would continue to borrow to pay subsidy.
In Nigeria if you consult, nothing will get done. It took 20 years to pass the petroleum industry bill during which investment suffered and oil companies exited.
That is why Jagaban is cut from a different cloth. It takes a man who doesn’t care about reelection to build a lasting legacy for the next generation. That is why you will not see any lasting legacy for Obi’s 8 yrs in Anambra! Tinubu does not give a hoot about re-election. He is smart enough to know that you make hay while the sun shines. |

This entails clearly outlining what aspects of the bill are acceptable, what needs revision, and what should be added to ensure the bill benefits the North and Nigeria as a whole. By presenting a coherent, data-driven argument, Northern stakeholders can engage constructively with proponents of the bill and contribute meaningfully to the bill's refinement. Chai! It's time for Arewa to adopt a more mature, solutions-oriented approach, moving beyond mere opposition and instead, providing actionable recommendations that can inform the bill's development, since there are a lot of things contained in the bill that are for the good of the country. This is great leadership material here. This guy can contribute more to nation building than the opportunities he has been afforded so far. |

It only proves that many Nigerians throw big words, but are not ready for the consequences of the realisation of those words.
Subsidy Removal Petroleum Deregulation Currency Deregulation Restructuring
Are just big words to be used by unserious Nigerians, but when push comes to shove, many begin to recant.
One clown even recanted that all the big words like Referendum, Independence, Prime Minister, Biafra, Sit at home, etc, that he was saying, was just for content creation.

How can a tribe be so engrossed with payback to the point that they have no actual ambition of their own?
