Archbishop Ariwodor declared support for Obi and other Nigerians who had criticised the bad policies of Government, or declared support for peaceful protest.Igbo man will always declare supoort for his fellow igbo naa. We saw how they took Obi campaign to all the churches in the SouthEast, as it became popular sermon very Sunday.
|
Racoon:Oppressor because a policy all top presidential candidates supported was implemented?
|
BeardedMeat:On his own verified twitter page, he reposted what he said at the Channels TV event in Abuja. If you want the video, it is on YouTube. Obi said he will not let it stay for 1day. January 2023. Just 1 month before presidential election in February.
|
Melagros:A simple question I will ask you is did Tinubu campaign on the promise to keep subsidy? Did Atiku or Obi campaign on the promise to keep subsidy? The hungry masses who are now looting mattresses or showing us empty pots, did they vote for Sowore who vowed not to remove subsidy? While 22million voted Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi, Sowore only won less than 15,000 votes. So you cannot blame a government for executing the policiy it promised voters to execute.
|
Softmirror:Person wey chop mattress don chop bread of life. They will hunger no more. |
I pity who get goods for shop. I pity who get property outside a well secured estate. I pity those who use social media to call for anarchy while they are also mapped by the destructive and blood seeking mob as part of the fat cats that need to be cut to size. |
kingbee90:They will still not vote Sowore who has promised not to remove subsidy. They will still vote Tinubu, Atiku, or Obi who have all insisted that subsidy must go. Sowore will still score his usual 15,000 votes, then begin campaigning for protest less than 6 months after the candidate that defeated him is sworn into office. Rinse and Repeat!
|
Una no dey tire for this useless religious photo ops during every protest? Make dem draw cartoon for France or Netherland next month, those inside the protection will surround those providing delusional cover now. The end of it will be deadly. |
Smartcitizen:Dem suppose wire am koboko. Anyone formerly in political office that is sighted at these protests, should be flogged back to his/her house, and everything found there should be taken. No assault on any other family member. |
Mandate1:At no time did all Nigerians pay band A. That there is a band A mean there are other bands. But I agree with you that Nigerians are suffering. And if this protest can get the Government to rework some policies with increased motivation than before, then the protest would have been a success without any loss of lives and minimal vandalism. |
Mandate1:We have been paying band A since 2020. Nothing new in that NERC - DISCO arrangement. Subsidy removal means you buy fuel at the prevailing landing cost of its importation plus profit margin of the marketers. Or did Buhari successfully fix any government refinery throughout his 8years, to have planned subsidy removal for end of June 2023? |
Mitsurugi:You should give him credit and, also give Nigerians credit that it took over 1year of subsidy removal before they rebelled against it. No Nigerian government has achieved that feat. Jonathan’s subsidy removal did not last 2weeks before Nigerians took to the streets in the North and SouthWest and Edo State. Buhari reversed his own by his own hand, then planned a new subsidy removal to happen after he has safely returned to Daura. |
Mandate1:But why did the same Buhari who knew his own government had to return subsidy after initially removing it, will still later remove it and post date it to begin a month after his own regime has ended? |
efighter:They love to hallucinate. Even the deadly and anarchy ridden EndSARS protest did not remove any hair from Buhari's body, not to talk of removing him from office. |
But the same Nigerians did not vote Sowore who vowed not to remove subsidy. He did not even score up to 50,000 votes. Instead, about 22 million Nigerians voted for Tunubu, Atiku, and Obi. All the top 3 candidates vowed to remove subsidy.

Rights jam Rights. Who then is Right? The foolish ones will argue for the right of way, the wise ones will go left and move to another venue or return home. |
Naa! Too early for that. Na the Governor go use him mouth beg FG to intervene. |
tishbite42:That was the issue with her previous competition not with the current Olympics. She only cited that to inform that it would not be the 1st time such has happened to her. So this is a case the NOC and AFN should follow up with the IOC. Nigeria is being denied a spot in a competition that the athlete qualified for and was duly registered for. It is not just her fight alone, it is Nigeria's fight. |
victorDanladi:That guy is obviously ignorant of the difference between subsidy removal versus fuel price hike. He thinks Buhari is foolish for removing subsidy then reinstating it, only to plan for its removal after his own tenure has ended? |
Ikaeniyan0:Fully in support. Na that Kano the protest go bad. The Governor will learn lessons like Sanwo-Olu and Alex Otti. |
Northern wahala. Their protest no get any leadership or structure. The Governor said he supports the protest. Na chair and computer monitor go feed their hunger? |
franchasng:The cowards are the ones who know the way Igbos regard them, and still support what is obviously an Igbo agenda. I like how your verbal diarrhea will help to rehabilitate those "cowards" going forward. The greatest agony of the Igbo was to learn that outside of its Eastern region, there are Yorubas in the same southern half of the country to checkmate their domination and supremacist mindset. The "coward" Yoruba tribe prevented the Igbo man from winning the Presidency because they simply said it is the turn of the Yorubas, and it came to be against the "ferocious" Igbo that you have admitted is being successfully gaslighted into surrender by the "coward" Yoruba. What irony! |
No wonder the Governor there said he supports protest. The weak governor would soon learn lessons from similar weakness that was demonstrated by Gov Sanwo-Olu during the endSARS protest, and by Gov Alex Otti during the illegal Biafra day of this year. |
franchasng:Oh! So Ojota protest is no more about Yorubas protesting against the Jonathan regime and being a betrayal of Southern unity? Thank God you are admitting the destructive "Chinasa" in you that made your own tribal leaders warn you all not to be a nuisance and anarchist in this planned peaceful protest. At least you will not claim it is Yoruba media that is unfairly accusing you, or that Ahmadu Bello was a tribalist for accurately describing your tribe and also checkmating your excesses. Continue with the mouth diarrhea, it is very revealing of the Igbo. |
ImoleNaija:If you do not know Igbo, then you now know Igbo. You now know the meaning of children of 8. |
vanbonattel:The disease dey una DNA. |
magoo10:They do not need to say, you can already see an Igbo jubilating. The disease dey una DNA. |
But you lots claim Yorubas protested against subsidy removal of the Jonathan regime in Ojota in 2012, reminding us that Igbos and the SouthSouth region did not participate and therefore established a precedent of sectional/tribal support for the government in power. Did the subsidy removal continue after the protest? Your problem as an Igbo is that you suffer from "mouth diarrhea", and try to make everything about you. Ordinary Alangba that thinks it is an Alligator.

Anyone that nears the prison should just be carried inside there forever. Free prison food forever. |
surgical:Like I replied to someone earlier, many of you are not accustomed to having a civil, pro-people, and pro-democracy advocate as President. The President has been engaging with stakeholders on the long-term benefits of the sacrifices being made now, while also reworking and retooling the economic consequences but not the policy. On the protest itself, the President has also been meeting with Nigerians and leaders of communities, be it religious, tribal, and economic, to see how best to manage the anger and hunger that is fueling the protest and advocate patience, but while sternly alerting all anarchist that violence and vandalism will not be tolerated. That is democratic best practice at the highest level. Protest in peace, not in anarchy. Even the police has been demonstrating a civilised approach in engaging the visible leaders of the protest. Even the anarchists are laughing that the government is afraid, just because they have never seen a Nigerian government show the level of concern and engagement to ensure that the protest is even shelved if all parties can agree on a compromise. |
