pmc01:I'm not a supporter of Countries invading other Sovereign countries, I don't think anybody in his/her right senses would. The problem is using American wars to justify the war in Ukraine, I can't get my head around that thought. There's a lot at stake here, it could trigger something bigger than what we're seeing now and is gonna affect everyone....heck! it is already. I have problem with Putin for threatening the world with Nukes...That's the redline. (Russia will never be the same again after this war). You want to dethrone the West as the economy giant you will need more than wars. This is not 1940s, most of the Europeans countries are advanced in terms of weapons, Urban warfare and defense systems that you cant readily invade them without catastrophe of epic proportions. If you listen Putin's latest rant....you should be worried. |
Kastonkastroll:I sense alot of emotions in your response but I want to ask...is Ukraine a NATO state?... the last time I checked NATO is a voluntary military defence Alliance where there are rules of Joining. I haven't heard where countries were intimidated to join. Russia must be doing something wrong if her neighbors consider joining a defence alliance. Finland and Sweden wants to Join, Germany has increased its military spending. In your logic Russia should bomb them too? Even If you have serious legit security concern about your country, the only way to solve it is to carpet bomb your so-called neighbors. Is this the first time Russia is using military actions against its neighbours, Georgia, Crimea, chencheny etc. In your mind Russia should be the Bully and not NATO. You mentioned "willing tool of the west"...honestly, I dont understand this statement but it seems you're mad at the West. (I don't care, that's your problem). I repeat, this is a needless war. |
Kastonkastroll:Who's threatening Russia? Ukraine?... in your reasoning even if there's famine in Russia the war should continue. To you, you dont mind if millions dies unless Russia wins the war with Ukraine. Are you even Russian? Why do you want this war more than the Russians because they are on the streets protesting the war. |
Hmmm, Putin Lovers and fans beg to differ. They see these companies pulling out of Russia as minor irritations. I know they are also happy that Russian is also testing its Hypersonic missiles in the middle of war in Ukraine threatening to hit any country that involves itself in the war. They are happy that www3 should be fought but they are forgetting that in these wars there are no winners only destruction and it will probably affect them too. To them, it is whatever, because they hate USA and the West. They blame the WEST for everything but they refused to hold their leaders accountable in Africa. They see everything from the prism of Religion...There are even arguments that the WEST refused to grant million arabs refugees into their country but I asked what about the rich Arab countries that refused to help their kiths and kins. Why does it have to be the West to take in millions of refugees while rich Countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar etc look the other way. |
Taba21:There's a whole lot Russian soldiers amassed at the Ukraine-Belarus border even before the invasion. That's if I understand your question correctly. |
BKayy:From your comments, one can easily tell that you're a Putin lover and you're Anti-West. The Russian president started this unnecessary war that could have been avoided at all cost. I can also tell that you like blood from the way you staunchly defend the the Russian President. (how can you not feel for women and children been killed?) Sanctions are meant to make him reconsider his stance on the war and perhaps withdraw his troops. These sanctions whether you admit it or not is having negative impact on his economy. Russian still import some goods, trade with other nations, no country in the world can be 100% self sufficient, the world is a global village and not an island. |
ken6488:It's a proxy war... USA and NATO can not afford to lose this war. My thinking is USA is supporting with weapons to wear the RUSSIANS out then come in and finish the job. It's an opportunity to cement their hegemony around the World. PUTIN was too hasty... the clumsiness of their Tactics and Logistical problems showed to NATO that RUSSIA was all FIREPOWER and no TACTICS |
ken6488:Dont worry it will be clearer in the coming days...this war might just trigger ww3 that NATO is avoiding at all cost. |
To buy Car for Russia, just carry your Ghana-must-bags full of Ruble currency lol |
Russians soldiers pretending to be Ukrainian soldiers open fire on Belarusian soldiers to draw them into the war. Latest gimmick from the Gangster of Kremlin (HRM Lord Putin). With the poor outing the red army have displayed in Ukraine they are now dragging Belarus into the war. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10603637/Now-Belarus-set-invade-Ukraine-Kyiv-claims-Lukashenkos-forces-cross-border-tonight.html |
Did he just call Ukraine a fascist country? |

Cptflint:Watch it again, the Tank column all retreated. |
As the battle for Kiev rages on, Colonel Andrei Zakharov has been killed and Tanks destroyed in Ambush laid by Ukrainian soldiers. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/17906168/putin-tanks-destroyed-ukrainian-artillery-killed-commander/

qekng40:And people in Moscow will be living happily ever after abi? |
Officialgarri:Lol...what about the SUPPLY CHAIN that has been made redundant by the temporary closure? 850 restaurants is a lot. |
henrybangs44:Nope, I do no think so, I think he has genuine reasons for his invasion which is the security of his country. War is the last resort when other options have not been exhausted. He invaded Georgia, Crimea and now the eastern flanks of Ukraine (cant u see a trend here?). As if that's not enough he's now invading the whole country citing special Ops for denazification and demilitarization of another European country, unilaterally rearranging and redrawing world map, Is that not Hitler 2.0? Some of key items he's demanding for now would have been tabled before the invasion but he didn't. We black people should be able to discern, analyze and evaluate then make proper decision, it is the same thing with most Nigerians and the Government. We wait for things to happen before taking action. Good evening. |
Kingcalls:Brainwashed by whom? |
Kingcalls:Ok what do you want to hear? That Russia has one of the largest Armies in the World, about 6k plus Nukes, Su fighter Jets, cluster bombs, Flame throwers and stuff. They can probably nuke the whole of Europe. NATO has more Nukes but these Nukes are in the hands of responsible leaders and not a gangster threatening world peace. Any small thing the guy go dey threaten everybody with WMD, make him nuke make everybody rest. What's power without restraint. Look at his teenage soldiers when captured, they look confused. |
With his outdated Soviet Tanks and conscripted teenage soldiers who cries to momma when captured. SeeThisLoser: |
cosby02:It depends on our bilaterals relationships with the countries involved in the said war, I mean which one favours our INTERESTS more; though the war does not affect us directly but it doesn't mean we shd sit on the fence in times like this. I'm glad the FG took a stand. It's about about foreign policy. Leaning towards the west is not such a bad idea given our ties and history. |
cosby02:Coward reasoning... so when Nigeria is getting attacked by a stronger country, the rest of the world should be neutral going by your own logic?? |
Brilliant analysis!!! baralatie: |
What does he mean by "demilitarize"? that Ukraine can not have a standing army? that's impossible na. I believe for the recognition of the breakaway regions, they could be negotiated under a referendum conducted by UN. My thoughts. |
I didn't see the comment earlier on, what enemies are you talking about, it shows Russia does not have full influence over its neighbors if they're contemplating joining NATO. These things would have been handled diplomatically because war is the last resort. China is very smart when it comes to things like this, they weigh their options carefully. How was Cuban missile crises handled when USA almost invaded Cuba? It was simple USSR was to take out the missiles from Cuba while America removed the one in Europe. In this instance, Ukraine is not part of NATO yet why decimate a neighbor and causing humanitarian crises because you think the country is leaning towards the West. henrybangs44: |
And how has North Korea fared? That country is isolated, all they have is rockets and zombified citizens. Tell me the truth, if I give you schengen, American visa or a North Korean Visa, which one will you choose? A dictatorial country that executes his citizens for the flimsiest of reasons like watching a movie is not worth talking about. I agree the only way to peace is global denuclearization. Winters23: |
Lol.. why do I find this comment very funny. Mossadd: |
Stop asking rhetorical questions? Who are the Nations sanctioning and isolating Russia? I thought he asked for the list to be compiled, you can check from there, sir. Help2020: |
Help2020:Are from planet Pluto when Putin threatened the world with Mass destruction. Let's see how he holds up in the coming days with his battered economy. |
One man cant be threatening the whole world and you expect western nations not to have long term strategy for disarming him. This man, Putin, is a threat to Europe. Most European countries are having a rethink of rearming themselves with nuclear weapons they gave up for peace. U shd understand the West especially America have great patience and very devious too in their dealings with other Nations. I think Putin miscalculated this one, the longer the war last, the more complicated it becomes for him. jcross19: |
Just pull out of Ukraine and everything will be back to normal but if you insist on continuing this war and God bless you you lose this war. You'll be denuclearized before you're reintegrated into the world. USA AND THE WEST long term plan. If you win the war YOU LOSE If you lose the war YOU LOSE |
