If Na you Nko? You go sign? He is not getting playing time in situations he deserves. He is seeing a lot of preferential treatment, stagnation or regression of young guns. Auba/Laca/Nketiah are all ahead of him in the pecking order. I really hope he signs but I am worried about losing him.

He won't sign any contract though. It's not rocket science , it's common sense. He doesn't see any path to the senior team anytime soon, so he'll just have to start afresh somewhere in Germany or leagues like France or Portugal.
It's the same reason Angel Gomes didn't sign at Man utd. because there's no pathway to senior team for him anytime soon

It's the same reason Ole dropped a better RB in Williams in the absence of Wan Bissaka just to be playing Fosu Mensah and Tuanzebe at RB ahead of Williams, just because of seniority.

Also to be fair, we have enough of CB in the team already and before anyone is brought in, some of those deadwoods like Rojo and Jones will be sold , which might not happen till next summer.
The club na business, and na the wage bill of those deadwoods that they will use in balancing their books when they make new signing.

Except we magically offload those two guys against all odds in the January TW, then January might be possible for signing new CB

Shaw is lazy as phuck and has no inner drive. That is the problem with him and not lack of talent.

Defensively he is our most complete defender but whenever he has no competition his level drops so that he plays just well enough to keep his shirt.

Offensively he has the ability to cross the ball as evidenced by his taking decent corner kicks recently. However he prefers to do the easier thing which is passing the ball to his teammate instead of taking the full back on and whipping in a dangerous cross.

All these things Shaw has been doing recently, playing like a proper full back since Telles arrived, I want to also agree that he's always had that attribute, because you just don't magically wake up with them overnight.

Maybe Man United have been doing themselves a great disservice all these years by not getting him a competition in that LB. Good thing Ole saw that and pushed for the signing of a worthy competition

I am suspicious about him. Bayern are not mugs. They wouldn't let him go at 28 if they dont see an issue. Also he's got very high mileage even at 28. Usually if its too good to be true it is. Something is not right. See Thiago's injury struggles.

Yes our forward waste chances. Our main problem is defence. We have scored 2 goals and above in many of our games. We just dont know how to hold unto a lead. Imagine Sheffield united scored 2 against us, a team that hardly scores against anybody

If we had scored 3 goals yesterday, no one would have talked about our defence. We had to draw before people could see the light about how criminal we've been conceeding.

No be every time person go dey score 3-4-5 goals in a match. A serious team can make do with 2 goals.

Next match now, Bruno go still score another Brace and Rashford/Martial will score , but when we now play 3-3, or 2-2, they'll be telling us how Martial or Rashford should have scored a particular goal for us to win. Meanwhile if the idiots had kept it tight at the bavk, it could have been a 2-0 or 2-1 or 3-1 at least

Even with wastefulness, we still manage to score at least 2 goals in most games which should be enough for a win if the defense line does their job.

That's what happens when your attackers are deadly. If Rashford and Martial take half or a third of their chances, teams will be forced to sit back

The only difference is that they didn't conceed stupid and unnecessary goals during their title run. Especially the ones from individual errors
Two goals was quite enough to win any game if the backline knows what they are doing.
We can't continue to ship in 2 or 3 goals every game and expect to challenge for shit that way.

My only happiness is that we will get better with more understanding at the back , because personnel is not the problem.

For once they need to sort out set piece defending. Sorting that out will reduce our goals conceeded by 20 Percent. Then if the cut out stupid errors as well as occasional lapse in concentration, then we will be good to go

I always knew this day will come for this Chelsea fans. Hyping their new signing when they've not kicked a ball was a risky venture. If they limited it to their thread only, most people won't even worry , but they decided to be twerking on other people thread because of new signing.

Williams window is narrow. He is just 3 years younger than AWB and 2 years younger than TFM, Tuanzebe, and crucially only 1 yr older than Laird who everybody in the club rates more highly.

If he can't claim a squad place this season he will be out of the club by 2021/2022.

He'll definitely be thinking of leaving by end of the season. Cos, I don't see how Ole is favouring those first two ahead of him at RB.
One of those clubs that liked overlapping fullbacks , especially in Germany will definitely snap him up.

For Ole to play Tuanzebe, Lindelof and Fosu-Mensah at RB over Williams, It's fair to say Williams might be sold or loaned out soon.

Ole just want to keep the seniors in Tuanzebe and Fosu Mensah happy , that is why he's playing them ahead of Williams.
Williams is far better and effective at RB than those two guys. Make Williams just push for a transfer if Ole no give himself brain.

Even though Rashford has poor finishing, the way he plays is the reason why all our chances usually fall to him , he makes good runs in behind and can create for himself too. That is why no matter how man he misses, he still manages to score at least one goal in the match.

If he has the finishing ability of Kane, he'll be top three top goalscorer every season, because he gets way too many goal scoring opportunities.

All valid points but immediately Cavani started the Everton game it was a risk starting him today. And you can't compare Vardy to Cavani. No 2 people are the same and Vardy has not been struggling with muscle injuries for 2 years.

Moreso Vardy is like a baby in professional football. He was a late bloomer. so he still has the legs to run.

Cavani have seen it all earlier in his career, just like Rooney that was finished fitness wise at 28-29, because he's been playing top level football at a very young age

I dont disagree with squad depth. Squad depth is better now than it was last season. But good squad depth is one part of a title winning team. Having consistent performances is the 2nd part.

We have managed to convert most of those unnecessary defeats we suffered last season to wins and few draws this season and that's why we're deservedly in a title race. I just don't think we can win it like many people think.

We are far too inconsistent

One thing is sure, the team is getting better and will only get better going forward. This time last season, we don't even creat chances because we don't have the personnel to do so. But now we create loads of them even when we supposedly play badly in some games. That's tremendous if you ask me. The finishing is just not good enough. And also our defence has gotten worse as against last season. Hope we sort the defense out though. Because there will be games were we won't take all our chances to front like today, because you can't always outscore every opponent. But a good defense will mean that you will always win games even with just two goals

Wan Bissaka is injured, and the closest to a Right back we have is not being utilized. I mean Williams is far better than Someone like Arnold defensively, and is very well better than lindelof and Tuanzebe offensively. He's not the best but our right wing won't be dead offensively like today. Also he has the pace to keep up with Barnes even better than Lindelof.

FFS, Ole loaned out Dalot to give the guy a chance, yet he's not playing him anytime Wan Bissaka is out, instead he plays Tuanzebe that usually forget that he's a RB not a CB

I fit still manage Rashford as a LW because he's a good option. But it will be diabolical to still have Martial as our CF when I need to win the league.

if we had a prolific CF, we would probably be in the UCL knock out stage by now, we would also have a higher league standing as well, because those chances that are being wasted that is costing us won't be happening
