They have been planning a 20million worth of repairs since 3 yrs? Wonder how many decades it'll take them to build a new stadium.

You do know that those are facilities that are always in use round the clock. They can't just start repair work without doing phase planning. They can't just bring everything down at the same time na.

The fans really forced their hands....

I doubt it's because of the fans protest though. These projects have been planned like 3 years ago. Infact work was supposed to start and finished last summer but the pandemic delayed the implementation up to this year.

Congratulations... Think of it, Nigeria as civilized as the West. That's black threat right there and the West are afraid of adding Africa to the list of what Asians are doing with their civilization

We are not serious or ready yet. whenever we are ready to move the the next level like the Asians, nothing the west can do to stop us.

You think they didn't try to stop the Asians too? Look at all the shit media campaign against china , yet that couldn't stop them, instead they keep getting stronger.
Imagine the hypocritical west calling china because of their Communist system and wanting the people to embrace Democracy. Imagine abandoning a system of government that made China an economic powerhouse and made millions of them rich and bringing them out of poverty for the wests democracy.

At least the Chinese discovered what fits them perfectly and used it to their advantage.
Africa will also wake up when it starts looking inward like Asians did and not to the west.

The day united or arsenal's academy produce something similar to iniesta, talkless of a xavi or Messi, then you can yarn this your opata outside with pride
Arsenal poached fabregas and bellerin, United got pique and just got Marc jurado last season so I don't know what you are on about

United's class of 92' alone beat those iniesta and Xavi you mentioned hands down with Messi being the exception because he's a once in a generation talent.. Let La Masia win the league with practically kids like the class of 92' , I'll then take you serious after that.

La Masia is a good academy, but you don't run down other academies just to make your point.
What United academy class of 92 did will never be replicated, in a long time, at least not in my generation.

False on both grounds.

Casillas is 6ft tall while Neuer is 6ft 4 inches tall.

Average GK height in the EPL over the last decade has been about 6ft 3. Neuer is definitely not short for a keeper.

I'm not saying they are short, of course an average goalkeeper is above 6ft.

I'm talking in comparison to the giants you mentioned Neuer with. Cech, Courtois, Donaruma, Van Der sar are all giants compared to Neuer or Casillas

He's not the only big GK out there. Courtois, Neuer, Cech are just as big as he is

Remove Neuer from that list. Him and Casillas are in the same WhatsApp group. They are both shorter than most goalkeepers.

De Gea don die since 2018 WC. grin

Let's just forget 2018 WC for a moment and pretend it didn't happen. His penalty Saving record prior is non existent, yet a professional coach in Ole couldn't see it. Even an slowpoke knows that he should have brought on Henderson who has an excellent and better penalty Saving record.

I used to be on the fence concerning Ole, but that foolish Europa league final decision pushed me over the edge to the other side.
I get angry anytime I remember that f*ckery

Like WTF!!!!!

The reason why we got to 11 Penalties was because the Villarreal second choice goalkeeper that played the final that day was bad. If it was this Asenjo, we won't even get to penalty number 5 before he makes at least one save and it would have been over.

Well I don't totally agree that Canada doesn't have more talent than the aforementioned countries. At the 2011 world cup, Nigeria beat Canada in the group stages and yes at that time we could say Nigerian team were more talented, but now the Canadians are more talented and that's why they won gold, because talent more than anything else win trophies.

To become more talented, we must invest more in grassroot soccer, and continue searching for new talents everywhere.

It's talent that win trophies because at the end of the day, no matter the preparation or friendlies, you can't give what you don't have.

Let's just pretend that Canada did not do a football shithousery to gold medal, akin to the 2012 Chelsea UCL triumph by extreme luck and being very resolute in defending.

Call them to repeat that run and they would probably be eliminated at quarterfinals if not group stage.

Two truths can exist. Canada weren't spectacular, infact they aren't top 5 best teams of the tournament. Sweden, Netherlands, USA, Team GB, Australia, were the top 5 teams of the tournament , but sometimes you need more than good football to do well in cup competitions. You need luck too, and Canada had a lot of it.

It was in 2014/2015 when Edwin Okon was Coach he tried bringing her in to replace Precious Dede knowing fully well that she has never been top notch...

Nigerian Coaches with their Sentiment...
One of the reason i respect Coach Florence Omagbemi and Uche Ngozi Eucharia

May be Edwin Okon dey f*ck the girl. That is the only logical conclusion I can give.

Every Super falcons coach, past and present don't usually see Whyte as a good goalkeeper and she gets dropped almost immediately but with Okon, it's always different , so Okon definitely is forcing the girl down the team's throat for reasons that are definitely outside of her goalkeeping abilities

The Ghanaians learnt a thing or two from the Togolese team and dialed it up a notch. Crowd the Nigerians, rough them up and not let them have any time on the ball. Even though the first goal rattled the Nigerians, it was clear Okon did not have any answers to the Hassacass onslaught, especially in the first half. For someone who coached the Nigerian national team at the nations cup and the World Cup, the man got clearly outcoached today and was bereft of solutions!
Nigeria had the ascendancy after they equalized, but I felt they were really let down by poor goalkeeping.
All in all, good tournament and I am happy this disappointment happened now. Nigeria needs to go back home, retool, learn how to play quicker (for teams that would not let you have time on the ball - North African and South African teams), revamp the goal keeping corps and focus on wining the Champions league cup in Egypt next month.
We lost the battle, but we must win the war! Go RA girls!!!

The best team they will play is this ghanian team. It's like you are ascribing the reputation of the North African men to their women . Like seriously? They North African women are probably the worse women team on the continent.

I also hope they lose out on the third place.

Edit

On the other hand, USMNT are winning cups without turning anyone into villain.

Those US women will soon be relegated to obscurity very soon. All their old rivals have woken up (Sweden, Germany) additional good teams have joined the fray ( Spain and Netherlands) also teams like Canada and Australia is also in the mix. And most of these teams mentioned above are practically young. US women is full of old and tired legs who can no longer outrun and physically bully other girls like before because other teams are now stronger.

The US men's team that they usually throw shade at are now back in form winning.

Many Turkish talents spends more than a year bro

I can give you lists if you want

No serious developing player should be there but many developing players started from there

You cannot play in the Turkish league forever ,everyone wanna play in the epl Laliga bundesliga seria A

Will a good player like to spend 10 seasons at the Belgian league ? Hell No

I disagree

The Turkish league has produced so many talents

Even their own young Turkish talents usually leave the league , after a year of doing well to develop more I. France, Germany or Belgium. No serious developing player should be in that league, if he's interested in growth and not stagnation

I think I support these clubs too.

Some fat bellies sit somewhere deciding how and what the real stakeholders should do with their sweat. Totally shrewed

That is why till today, I respect American model of league administration in all their sports. The clubs who are major stake holders always get the biggest share of the pie , which is how it should be.

The premier league clubs are richer than most other leagues in Europe and have an almost equal financial footing among themselves because they applied a small portion of the American system in the league, in which the clubs control what happens in the league both financially and policy making instead of the FA , that is why they can share the TV rights money Among themselves and decide what the FA get,. and not FA deciding what they get , like what UEFA does.

NBA is not under any international basketball Body?

Edit:

I just discovered the NBA is yet to join FIBA.

This is what the European club owners wants to do with the super League.

Create an independent NBA type of association with football and operate it like an NBA organisation, with the potential of even making more money than NBA because football is a bigger brand than Basket obviously with more potential to make billions of dollars more than what the NBA earns.

The clubs in NBA share all their money directly, without having an overseer body like FIBA dictate to them what to do with it, Unlike UEFA that gives the clubs a fraction of what they make. With super League, all the clubs are partners and they share all the money just like the NBA.

it was called Yaba Technical Institute not yaba college of technology, it was not a university while the br:its were in Nigeria.

University of Ibadan was called University College, Ibadan.. it was not a full university, some courses required students when they finished at university college to go to e:ngland to get their degrees which you admit in your comment so you should ask yourself why a country of about 50 million people from different ethnic nations ( tribes ) in Nigeria at that era will require students to go abroad to get degrees and not have universities in their ethnic regions

like someone said the railway was for their benefits not Nigerians and it didn't cover all over Nigeria...

Fighting for our independence from the British was the best thing our founding fathers did and despite their numerous mistakes after that , I still feel they did the right thing.

Personally, I believe we were not suppose to get it right after independence, we will make mistakes and we will learn from it and get better. In the past, a coup would have happened after buhari shenanigans because past governments that weee overthrown didn't even do up to buhari but as a country, we lived through many coups to see that it doesn't work and we've learnt even the worse Democracy is better than the best military government.

If this country exists after buhari, I can assure you that we will learn from it as well and put more checks that will prevent a future Buhari type of government in future.

Also, we've lived through a civil war and we've learned our lesson from it that it's never a solution, despite the fact that there is enough reason for another civil war to happen today, but every same Nigeria no matter their ethnicity knows it is never a way.

It took America over a century to get their democracy straight, It took the British far more than that. Considering the age of most African countries, they are still toddlers learning to walk compared to Europeans that are seen as developed. We will get there too.

So after all the gra gra that mike brown has been making prior to the olympics, “we’re here to win” we have still lost 2 games in a row. It just shows that sometimes whether a coach uses the boastful or humble route, their results on the pitch is all that matters.

And a timid team will always be timid, and brave players with self believe and determination will always have it, wheyher the coach ginger or not.
