Danielnino00: Gbam!!! You have said it all.. I'm surprised that Pinnick and his colleagues from WAFU allowed this nonsense to go on for so long until it extended to the women senior team.
Imagine, out of the 24 teams heading to the AFCON,only 2 from COSAFA zone qualified...12 from WAFU! Pinnick is stupid. That one is not interested in football development in the country, he's busy looking after himself, contesting for every CAF and FIFA executive positions he can lay his hand on. Imagine they implement that useless zoning for Afcon qualifiers, better west African teams will start loosing out. And na that Ahmad Ahmad start that nonsense because he wants to help his East African friends qualify for CAF tournaments through backdoor |

Danielnino00: Just saw the draw.. CAF have definitely gone crazy.. How is it West Africa's fault that the rest of the continent (especially southern Africa) suck so bad at football that they have to introduce zoning just to give them the chance to qualify for tournaments?? This method of qualifications is very bad. it's not merit based and encourages mediocrity. Zoning won't improve competition, it will only encourage mediocrity. Imagine the Men's National teams qualifiers being done via zoning, countries like SA won't have problem qualifying because of their weak zone, meanwhile they are shit and could not qualify based on the current merit based system of random draws. Now west African countries with better teams won't qualify. Zoning from CAF might not be a bad idea if they actually took into consideration the strength of different zones by allocating more slot to the stronger zones(West and North Africa) and giving lesser slots to the weak zones, this way , the weak zones compete fearlessly for the slots, while at the same time the representative from those zones will put in a better fight in the competition because they got there via a rigorous hard work in the qualifiers. The CAF zoning system became flawed immediately they started giving every zone equal slots . I might still accept it for underaged competition, but doing it for the women's senior teams is very wrong. When the likes of Cotedivoire, Ghana , Eauitorial Guinea or Nigeria who are one of the strongests in the continent don't make the tourney because they've knocked themselves out during the WAFU zone qualifiers, then you'll be left with shitty teams. This will not improve the women's game, infact it will further draw it back FIFA that allocates competition slots based on the strength each Confederations instead of giving every continents equal slots knows what they are doing and are not stupid. We in Africa just know how to copy good innovations from the white men in the wrong way with wrong implementation. Na curse ? |

To be fair, they had injuries to the key players that were killing games for them at the start of the season. The moment those players got injured, they lost back to back games, and before they got their mojo back , the damage has been done. |

The major person behind the "he's not rotating enough" is VDB because even Pogba at some point was getting benched and VDB was not playing.
The mainstays in our starting eleven this season has been Maguire, AWB, Shaw, Fred, Bruno and Rashford. Other spots has been fairly rotated. Even Rashford has seen a lot of rotations. I don't even know where this ole doesn't rotate comes from. Even McFred has seen lots of rotations this season. May be they want Ole to turn to Arteta who doesn't know his first 11 and starts tinkering his formations every game to look like low budget Pep. |

Beorn: The preceeding sentence before that the "serious" line clarified that Roma ain't a quality side. It was the reason Scholes even complained in the first place. It was an integral issue in my posts as well. I pointed out that double DM against top sides is okay but against the weak teams, we ought to demolish them with one of McFred.
I agree with your point that Matic is the only one capable of playing the sole DM role very well in our team, and that his legs are gone. But what I don't understand is why Ole couldn't see that, or saw that but PROBABLY didn't feel it was worth addressing before the season begun. Well, let's hope he addresses that position before next season start. Abeg make una leave scholes o. He might be a wonderful footballer, but being a manager is another kettle of fish. As per the latter, there is a reason why him and his other friend at Sky sport failed at football management. There is having good coaching plan on paper and there is reality. The lofty plan is to have one DM , but the reality is that using one of McFred is suicidal. Ole knows this, that is why he persist with them to give the team some balance. Even though I feel that the talk of McFred limiting our attacking potential is just a Myth conjured by "online coaches" , because the last time I checked, we don't usually lack creativity in most of our games and we are not playing Binary scorelines every week. We score a lot of goals with those two in the team. |

Jodera: I don't see how he's blaming xhaka and chambers there. Those two are poor in their present position they're playing and that's one of the reasons why I'm blaming Arteta. I mean, how will you have Cedric yet you play slow man xhaka at left back?(who can't even attack sef). What attacking advantage is Chambers giving you at that Rb role? What is the reason for playing a false 9 when none of the attackers(or midfielders ystdy) aren't great goalscorers. Like his decision in games for the past 2 months or so is really head-scratching and such decisions is really making me doubtful about his long term success here. Arteta behaving like low budget Pep. The guy just played a false now just for the sake of it and so as to appear tactical. The last time, I checked people who play false 9 positions are always goal scoring players . You can't just put anybody there just for the sake of it. It's just like throwing Daniel James into a false 9 position when he has low IQ scoring ability. |
