The 19-year-old attacker has taken to Instagram to share pictures of him apparently signing a contract with the Blues and completing a medical at the club's Cobham training base.
Brazilian wonderkid Nathan has confirmed that he is set to sign for Chelsea, apparently penning terms and completing a medical with the Blues on Monday evening.
The 19-year-old shared pictures of himself at the west London club’s Cobham training base and appears to be on the verge of rubberstamping his move from Atletico Paranaense.
The Brazil Under-20 international is rumoured to have cost around £4.5 million and could be joined by his Selecao team-mate Kenedy, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Jose Mourinho's side.
Although the Premier League champions have yet to announce the deal, Nathan was kitted out in full Chelsea garb and took to Instagram to thank the Blues for the chance to show off his skills in England.
“A dream is coming true! First of all I want to thank God for always lighting my way, my dad who always believed in my talent and was a real warrior while helping me to reach my goals, my family and friends who always supported me,” he wrote.
“And I am also thankful to Club Atletico Paranaense, which was part of this journey and where I played for 6 years of my career. Thank you Chelsea for trusting in me, I will do my best to support my team on reaching new achievements. WE ARE ALL BLUE.” I youtubed him and one player he reminds me of is Liverpool's Coutinho. Same style of play.

Debroslink: All over your thread, we saw Chelsea fans posting pictures of Messi destroying Bayern. And I began to wonder "what concerns Chelsea fans with barca defeating Bayern"? Then I remembered it was to taunt and discredit Guradiola
Guardiola lost to Madrid last season, it caused a big noise, now he has lost to Barcelona, it's causing a big noise. Can u compare Barca and Madrid to PSG and Atletico whom Mourinho lost to and no one really seems to care? No you're wrong. What concerns Chelsea fans and Bayern is raumdeuter and A40. Dont tell me you don't know how they never let Chelsea fans rest here. |

world888: Thx. Yes PH is turning to something else cos of d guns shared during election..Police told me that minimum of 5 cars r snatched everyday around my area and a guy was killed two weeks ago cos he refused to give them his car key. But the Police r nt doing anything about this. Na wao. They tried to steal mine. Only God knows how they unhooked my steering/pedal lock. If not for the security that won't allow the car to start without pressing a particular button somewhere, the car would have been history by now. Imagine my bewilderment when in the morning, I saw the pedal lock on passenger seat and a broken key inside the ignition. I just smiled and offered a silent prayer of thanks to God. Barely 3 months later, a car that parks directly behind mine got stolen. The other one tampered with but mine wasn't touched. Don't worry bro, God will see to it that your car is found. If not, he will still provide a means for bigger cars in the future. |

Ibime: I learned something from Youtube.
Never sign a nigga whose highlights always end with him shooting or losing the ball at the end of a dribble.
Thats why I'm not jumping about this Memphis Depay guy. From his youtube clips, I can tell he's a poor decision maker, and all the teams attacks end with him taking a shot or losing the ball.
If you type in Hazard or Willian in Youtube, you will see many passes on the end of their dribbles. That means they are comfortable in possession, and do not waste attacks. They are wingers with the brain of a no10. If you type in Depay or Cuadrado, you see them running until they take a shot or lose the ball. Let me Youtube this Depay guy. |

Ibime: Nah, by the same logic, Ramires should be a comfortable fit for Chelsea.
We dominate possession 90% of the time, and only counterattack 10% of the time.
When you watch Cuadrados Youtube videos, you will never see him exchanging passes with niggas. He lacks the nous to do that. All his highlight reels are of him running at full speed with loads of space to push the ball into. Thats why he played wing-back. He wont get that at Chelsea. At Chelsea, when you receive the ball, 10 men are behind the ball so no space to push and run. The nigga has a severe case of Shaun Wright-Phillips about him. Lol.... You just dislike Ramires. He isn't that bad. As for Cuadrado, I won't judge him yet just after 6 months of few matches played here and there. |

Ibime: I doubt it. I'm getting a case of Ramires with Cuadrado. . . . ie instant dislike.
His game is not good for possession football, he is a counterattacker. He simply doesnt have the tools to play possession game.
It was a last minute panic buy by Chelsea like we did with Salah. I don't know why they don't just promote Traore and co everytime they sell a winger. Traore has a lot more to offer than Cuadrado. His main problem since he came is confidence. If you watch his game closely, you will see that the talent is there but the confidence is lacking. Mourinho is a counterattacker by default. And Cuadrado tracks back to help the defence which is exactly what Mourinho expects from his wingers, even though Cuadrado fumbles in it at times. Let him gain his confidence by next season and you will see what a demon he is. |

Ibime: Bamford needs minutes. He wont get that at Chelsea. He should go on loan again.
I don't want a central striker as no2 striker either. He will sit on the bench till eternity.
I want an Anelka type of player, who can play wide most of the season, then deputise as no 9 when Costa is injured.
I'm thinking of Lacazette or Aubameyang.
Even the third striker should be able to play wide to get some minutes eg Kevin Mirallas.
Either that or a really old man as 3rd striker. . . . a good pro who doesn't need minutes to boost his confidence eg Lambert. Another GOOD option. Sell Cuadrado? Haba.... Give him time bro. Not everyone blends in to EPL easily like Costa etc... I bet you will be singing his praises by next season. |

Nihilist: Not to badly to be honest. Everton as a team has regressed.
P.s Kane was a gamble forced by Adebayor and Soldado's combined ineptitude. He wasn't given a chance because he 'deserved' it. He got his chance because my grandmother is better than his competitors.
Bamford is a 19 goal striker in a championship team competing for promotion
Austin is a 17 goal striker in an EPL team fighting relegation
It's a no brainer I watched Bamford vs Man City in the FA cup and I must say I was really impressed with his game play. He isn't a bad gamble to take. Don't get me wrong. Austin is a wonderful player considering his goal haul compared to the team he plays in BUT honestly I don't see much about him. He is the type of player I call a one-season-player. Andy Carroll comes to mind. |

Nihilist: Bamford has done nothing to even suggest that he's a 10-goal a season striker in EPL. Lukaku was scoring for fun on loan in the EPL and still didn't make the grade.
Meanwhile Austin has 17 goals in the EPL playing for a relegation team. Well I stand to be proved wrong because I believe many Spurs fans would be thinking exactly like this when Kane was given the chance initially. Talking about Lukaku, how has he fared in Everton this season? |

AirborneLacer: That second XI has got what it takes to win the German League.
Imbula is a French CM that plays for Marsielle.
He's more like the black version of Matic. Arrives with a long range effort every now and then, wins duels and take-ons, breaks-up play and is never a passenger.
I wouldn't mind having him as Matic's understudy, he's just 22. you don dey find somebody trouble o. Hmm that's the kind of player I wouldn't mind us signing should Mikel and/or Ramires makes way. Kondogbia of Monaco is another combative midfielder that interests me. |

Nihilist: What kind of Novice Analysis is this?
They gave you examples how Pep's suicidal tactics in the early opening minutes of could have easily seen Bayern 3 down in 15 minutes if not for Neuer's Heroics...but you said that doesn't count...
You're funny though....You know Bayern had more possession in the first half right? The reason why we're all laughing at Pep is because he came out to play with in an inferior team...
Football is not won by style points. I don tire for the guy analysis sef. |

Eruditor: Barca led 2-0 with RDMs tactics in place. Barca hit the cross bar. Barca had copious chances. Barca missed a penalty. Barca had a legitimate goal ruled off. So for which of these did RDMs tactics work for?
Your analysis will keep being flawed until you realise that Barca didn't score Bayern until the defence became a 4-man one. So in reality, it was when he switched to what the pseudo-analysts said, that he had problems.
Btw, Messi's first goal was it as a result of Pep's tactics, Messi's brilliance or Neuer's un-heroics? Pick one. You can't have all 3. Let me pretend I didn't read the bolded. RDM's tactics worked for him because he got the goals he needed THROUGH COUNTER ATTACKS and progressed. Did Pep get what he wanted in last night's match? Not even an away goal. Messi's first goal was as a result of Bernat/Boateng sloppiness. Watch the replay again. Look at Neuer's immediate reaction as soon as the ball went in. |

Eruditor: I am surprised you got 2 likes on this post. Some people just like anything anti-pep shaaa.
So should Bayern have played without a keeper? Heroics indeed. Should I also say Bayern would have won save for Mascherano's heroics? Should I also say Bayern lost because of Neuer's unheroics?
So when Inter beat Barca in 2010 Zanetti, Etoo, Samuel, Maicon didn't perform defensive heroics? The Ref didn't perform legitimate-goal-cancellation heroics?
Oga, save the pseudo-analysis. As long as Barca didn't score till 76mins. Then Pep's tactics worked till then. Afterall, Messi missed a penalty, Alexis' goal ruled off, Pedro hit the bar and Cech performed Heroics yet some people were bragging on this thread how Di Matteo beat Pep. Would I be amiss to say Di Matteo's tactics didn't work save all the aforementioned excuses?
Did PSG not beat Mou 1-3 in 2014? Ok so because Chelsea won 2-0 in the second leg the first loss is excused seeing that the blessed Mou does not lose with expressive results? RDM's tactic against Barca was defend DEEP, hit at the counter. And it worked perfectly for him. Pep played a high line with 3 defenders which didn't work for him because the defence was split open twice or thrice in the first half opening the way for a Barca attacker vs Neuer one on one. At those very one on one moments, was it Pep's tactic that prevented certain goal? Or was it Neuer's heroics? Ask yourself why Pep reverted to a 4 man defence at a point if his plan was really working for him. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by timbros(m): 2:51pm On May 07, 2015 |
Eruditor: This Barca team definitely attacks better than Pep's Barca and that is down to MSN really. In 2009-2013 Barca heavily relied on Messi. As we can see today, Suarez did the job against City and PSG and now Messi has done it against Bayern. That's the difference.
Comparing Rakitic to Xavi doesn't cut it. Barca had only 48% of the ball yesterday but they won the game 3-0. This would never have happened in Pep's day. Barca have made up in attack what they have lost in Midfield.
Mou could not KO LFC but Avram Grant did. So is Avram now better than Mou? 2009 Barca also KOed Chelsea. What's the fuss?
Pep is like Messi- they are guilty of their own high standards. If Pep wins, they'd say it is his players not him. If he loses, they still blame him. Dortmund thrashed Madrid 4-1 at their home ground, why didn't Mou park the bus and lose just 1nil?
Bayern's Midfield matched Barcas. Till 76mins Pep's tactics worked. As a Barca fan, I was scared we would draw because we had missed 2 good chances in the first half. If Pep's players make an individual mistake why should he be blamed? Did you blame Blanc when Luiz was getting nutmegged? Did you ask Blanc why he didn't park the bus? Cut Pep some slack. I disagree @ the bolded. Pep's tactics seem to work only because of Neuer's heroics. Barca should easily have been 3 nil up at half time if not for Neuer. Who the heck plays a high line 3 man defence against Barca and hope to survive? Playing Rafinha/Boateng/Bernat to man mark Neymar/Suarez/Messi is the most stupidest decision Pep made. Okay if you want to play a 3 man defence, why not call on the experience of Lahm? Infact Pep was man marking all over the pitch, a tactic that plays into Barca's hand. Pep killed the game entirely.

First it was that BurnDisLeagueDown is more competitive than EPL. Mourinho answered him: this is not Germany with Bayern or Scotland with Celtic.
Then came the claim that Hazard's penalty goals were 'awoof'. Lahm, Alonso, Gotze and Neuer told him: bros, penalty no be awoof oo.
How can I forget the claim that Boateng is the best defender in the world! Messi just smiled...
