Rubbish, all the political parties are out for their politicians and not for the progress of this rapidly decomposing country.

We need a New Nigeria, not this fake place where thieves that play in the right circles are rewarded for their thievery and even given promotions!

We need fresh and new twenty first century thinkers with huge vision, not recycling, close to the grave, empty headed, dead brained politriktians who are gathering what little money left in the nations coffers for the twenty generations to come!

We need a revolution!
yes ma we need revolution

You are right that our leaders have failed us. But they have not failed their masters ( the ex-colonial powers) who groomed and put them in place as youngsters. But the problem with today's youth is that their seniors failed to groom them as proper leaders of a progressive society. That is why you have seen a steady and continous degradation in educational standards from high standards at independence to the mockery it is now. Today's youth are simple victims of harsh economic and social circumstances that have left them intellectually stunted. Go to political gatherings: what calls themselves youth are late 30s, 40s and 50s. Because in todays nigerian economy 20s can hardly fend for themselves not to talk of leadership.

No. The present youthful generation cant lead now. They still need time to mature. Or perhaps the baton will bypass them to their children, if they would undertake to orient that generation.
I wonder what you mean by "them not failed the colonial powers" but they remain failures and can never groom successful youths.
I disagree with you on our youths not being ready, they are just not given the chance needed
Politics / Re: If You Lose The Election, Accept Defeat – Jonathan Tells Tanzanian Politicians by TIMEISWISDOM(m): 9:37pm On Oct 21, 2015
most renowned people in life are remembered for just one legacy and you sir already have yours.

They said you racked Nigeria's economy but when confronted with figures, they reply it was fabricated or didn't benefit the life of an average Nigerian.

They said you didn't fight corruption, when they are told that fighting corruption in the 21st century is done by building strong institutions and blocking loopholes, they reply with unsubstantiated newspaper reports and allegations of fraud from mostly aggrieved political opponents but fail to realize that your government is rated as the most transparent of all past governments in Nigeria and a minister under you was honoured by the prestigious Yale for her work in bringing transparency to the system.
They prefer dictatorship and 17th century method but forgot how Nigeria spent millions of dollars prosecuting James Ibori. And I ask is this a sustainable way in a very complex society as ours?

You saw the injustice in the system and initiated a national conference but people who are benefiting from the rot of the system condemned the entire processes and this same people were cheered on by very gullible Nigerians.

sir, I know you had your shortcomings but in spite of that if the only thing you did in life was to save the life of thousands who would have perished had you held onto power then you are my hero because as a Nigerian my life has never been this valued by any Nigerian leader both past and present.

And finally sir, do not listen to what people say, for with this your heart and approach to governance any sane society would have been changed into a giant but with Nigeria where everybody considers Every other thing before Nigeria, it will take something extraordinary to bring about such feet.

Keep saving lifes, my one in a million former president.

I thought you should be saying this about trudeau who's father was prime minister before him. You call that genuine democracy? We African s should be confident and formulate our own unique political systems like china ( and the west themselves) has done and not follow the west sheepishly. Every country is unique. There is no one size fits all formular for political and economic advancement.
What was his father's contributions to his success?
Do you know that he won from an opposition party and wasn't even a favourite prior to the polls.
But he succeeded in communicating his ideas and was voted in by the masses.
The case is Nigeria is where we complain our leaders have failed us and still vote the same set of people into power.
It is only a fool that does the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
Our fathers has failed us woefuly, we should try out another section of our society in leadership.

Mrs Oby is saying the truth but not to all concerned.

Her statement of public officials not personalizing public institutions should also be directed to Tinubu, PMB OBJ etc because the issue is not about Saraki's credibility, it is about who calls the shots between these men in a national assembly that us supposed to be independent.

If Saraki loses and APC gains upper hand, it will still be an even worst case of personalizing the Senate by some party leaders.

I am an expert at Geography so I clearly know what the difference between population density and and population size. You can argue all you like, those states after Lagos are the most crowed, why because population control was not an issue at hand according to citizens living in those states.
Kano or Oyo is not as crowded as the states mentioned earlier. The whole point of population control is to watch out for space management and to avoid a denser population area per Km-sq.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igbo_language

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoruba_language

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hausa_language

Population of those who speak each language. There isn't a huge gap in terms of population size between both our languages.

What's more interesting is that there are millions of other speakers of Hausa across west Africa including Niger, and so of Yoruba in Benin and Togo, but Igbo is mainly or only spoken In Nigeria. So Stop your ethnic slurs.
Typical Nigerian professional.
Always easily a disgrace to his/ her profession.

I'm adding your name to my thread immediately.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_population#/media/File:Population_density_map_of_Nigerian_states_-_English.png

What world I'm I living in, other than Lagos the two most densely populated states are Imo and Anambra. Honestly why are you so ignorant.

Are you consciously trying to distort facts?

Or you don't know the difference between population density and population?

Even if an average Igbo family should have just one child, the population density of Ndigbo in general will still be relatively high due to limited land space

Such my brother is the pathetic case of Africa whose failed leaders either hold onto power or continues to rotate it within few failed individuals.

only a failed leader holds onto power or wants more of it else if a leader has given his all, it is very easy for such a leader to relinquish power .History tells me this

If not for the Saraki who can kill his father just to be in position, people like this wouldn't even have the mouth to speak in this administration. Ekweremadu should just shut up. Did Jonathan forget that there was something called Federal Character as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution during his Appointments? Abeg joor!!

The SGF was an Easterner, the CoS was a Southerner, the Deputy Senate President and Deputy Speaker of HoR were Easterners. Petroleum, Finance and other top Ministries were headed by Southerners under Jonathan. Did the Northerners complain. These South Easterners are just angry that the South South is more represented in Buhari's regime than the Easterners. You see why they (Easterners) shouldn't be called our (Southerners) brothers? They're angry because we are getting more appointments than them!

sigiyaya:
This is why i laugh when people begin to talk of how bad their state governors are because i feel the don't know what bad governance is.
In Imo state today you don't feel any presence of state government for there is absolutely nothing to show for it, no good road, no water, workers(nobody is talking about the pensioners) have not being paid for months, immediately the bail out fund from the federal government was released Okorocha traveled to turkey(i don't need to tell you what that movement means if you are a nigerian)came back and started a fly over project along okigwe road initiated started by the immediate past governor which he Rochas swore never to complete and was even turning it into a roundabout because according to him it is a waste of money. No good environment in Imo today for there is hip of dirts in virtually every nook and cranny of Owerri. The gutters are not flowing because of dirts, everywhere is smiling and has become a good habitat for mosquitoes and rats and others to breed, with the infections they carry. The so called free education in the tertiary institution is a big scam and only exist on billboards and on the media. The inception of his government collapsed the local government in the state for almost five years now and on, the scam then was the introduction of the Community Government Council (CGC) and which is no longer functional till today. Okorocha can not bust of an initiated and completed project in Imo state; first he started with installing gates in every entrance in Owerri capital city streets, today no gate. He moved to constructing a dwarf fence along wherthral road; today it has collapse and failed. He said it is time to seal up all the gutters even when the said gutter is filled up with dirts; but today the project has collapsed and failed. The massive road construction in Imo is all phantom while the few project(Road) has been abandoned or damaged after weeks of construction. Okay what about the 27 new world class general hospital in all local government in the state, abandon too. Let's talk about the well reported 25000 youth must work programme scam, which some youths from the state were given uniform without portfolio with only 4 month 20,000 salary for almost 5 years now only to be dismissed some days ago. Should we talk about some parastatals like Imo transport company(ITC) or Imo broadcasting corporation(IBC)upon all the lies the told for him in the last general election they have not receive their salary for more than a year now. Lets forget Imo concorde hotel, shoe industry and Imo blue lake of treasure scam. I can not, at least not so soon forget the jamboree of his excellence on radio and television the popular INDUSTRY INDUSTRY INDUSTRY, JOB JOB JOB scam. No wonder a friend of mine told me that the worst thing that can ever happen to a man is to listen to Rochas because he knows no truth in his life. Since the people have know him (duo too late) have you been hearing MY PEOPLE MY PEOPLE NONSENSE? The only thing rochas thinks of is how to scam imo citizens take ownership of their landed property. Currently he and his family including his in laws owns almost 25% of Owerri capital city, even his own village is not left out because people there are also crying of how they have lost lands worth millions to this same man. This is a man who contested gubernatorial election in imo state and was massively voted for by the people,(without money, people even contributed for his cause) some lost their life while the were trying to protect his mandate. In Imo state today if you are not a member of Rochas family or an in law then embrace hungar and poverty. I think he is an abomination, a predicament and punishment to Imo state and the worst Governor not only in Nigeria or West African subregion but the whole of Africa.
I put it to you that you are lieing
Yes Rocha's may not have managed IMO resources well enough to maintain a healthy debt but his antecedents interms of capital projects will speak for him in years to come

I think DSS should sack more of its already experienced men in this fight against BH and for those they can't sack demote them, after all this lives been wasted on daily basis are worthless compared to the amount of insults and unprofessional conducts exhibited by the DSS during Gej time.

Getting even with perceived opponents, critics and oppressors remains the most important and priotised goal first and foremost before any worthless Nigerian life.
