so anyone with cough n fever is now a covid 19 patient?

sometimes d way we comment just shows our level of education, dis is to lend credence to d claim dat most people are just cough n fever patient in d so called Nigeria case of corona virus figures been dishes out daily, fever n cough has been a normal occurrence even before covid 19.

I was surprised to receive a msg from NCDC dat says if I have fever or cough I should report to their station for testing.

at d beginning of the rain there is usually fever n cold.

people like u are d ones who tag every death as covid 19 case.

d case of Benue index case comes to play, 45 days in isolation with no drugs yet she is still alive n u claim she is a carrier
So Mr good education, once your sample is submitted for testing you have Covid19?

you said cough and fever, why NCDC want covid-19 symptoms samples, is cough and fever covid-19, or you want them to summit other Illness as covid-19 symptoms .
cough and fever are symptoms not Covid19
Health / Re: Covid-19: NCDC's Questionable Mission in Kogi by TIMEISWISDOM(m): 4:24pm On May 12, 2020
I hope the author of this write up understand that NCDC is responsible for controlling infectious disease outbreak, and if eventually Kogi turns out to become an epicenter, they will be held responsible for it. Or you telling me nobody is reporting to hospitals in Kogi with cough and fever?

Submitting samples is all they ask for don't complicate things

Politics / Re: This Government Is Not Capable of Handling This Corona Virus Outbreak by TIMEISWISDOM(m): 12:38pm On Apr 07, 2020
Princewell2012:
Believe me our government is completely confused. No apology.

Yesterday I decided to take a stroll around my vicinity. Believed me almost all the shops are open doing their normal business, based on the fact that they are selling food items both raw and cooked ones.

It is hard for you to see a shop that is not selling anything eatable.

A lots of people were patronizing them without any face mask or hand glove, which is another things I finds out yesterday. Even the Sellers are not putting anything on them.

Can we really contain or stop the spreading of this sickness in this kind of condition?
Hope this is not efforts in futility after spending a month a home?
Where are we actually heading to?

Can we be able to defeat this monster called corona in this part of the world?

I think our government should device another means of tackling this issue before it gets out of hand. This is not the time to play politics. This is a Matter of life and death.

Our government should know that this is not the time to make money, this is not the time to loot or embezzle money ment to fight this corona virus. But a time to give and save life, as other developed countries are doing currently.

With what am seeing on ground even if they extend the lockdown for one year things we still remain the same. But I say God forbid.

Given a condition to go out to sell whatever or by whatever without any good proactive measure put in place to stop the spread of this disease only amount to effort in futility and a waste of time.

Please mod, help us do the needful. Thank you.
The main aim of a lockdown is to prevent interaction between untraceable strangers and not to lock people up
Health / Re: 10 New Coronavirus Cases In Nigeria. Total Of 224 Cases. 27 Discharged, 5 Dead by TIMEISWISDOM(m): 1:02pm On Apr 05, 2020
monfizzy:
There are at least 3000 unconfirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. Brace up guys for the nearest days/weeks ahead doesn’t seem good. It’s going to get really gloomy in the next 2-3weeks from now.

In the U.K., we’d 171 confirmed cases on March 17th, 3weeks later we’re at over 40k cases with over 4k deaths. Nigeria is on same trajectory.

Keep social distancing and avoid body contacts of any kind. In fact consider everyone as a potential carrier of the virus.
Doomsday prophet! Can people hide sickness? It's been over month we discovered our index Case

Lockdown? Where are you, Britain or France? People are roaming around still. You can't lock down people in Nigeria because of a virus, many will resist it. Don't you get that.
Lockdown doesn't mean people will not come out, it just minimizes the possibility of a positive making contact with strangers. You need to relax, the world is not coming to an end

ADAMUdaCOWBOY:

For solutions that's why I am complaining. The only true solution to this problem in Nigeria is testing as many people as possible and locking up anyone found infected, using force if need be. Many people roaming about without symptoms carry the virus and are capable of infecting others. Infact the most dangerous carriers are the ones without symptoms. They can sneeze into their palms, touch people, surfaces etc. If a person is already showing symptoms, people will naturally run away from them. If you see someone coughing profusely with feverish feelings for instance, will you touch them? And bear on mind, not everyone is matured enough to self isolate.
That's why we are on lockdown. Do you get now?

Buhari, elrufai, atiku's son and buhari's daughter were all tested without showing any symptoms. SMH
Trump has tested twice without symptoms. It's a normal thing to ensure the general is protected in a warzone.

ADAMUdaCOWBOY:

And why must the bolded be so? By the time they show symptoms they must have infected someone. These people should be forcefully taken and tested and not just told to go and self isolate which many won't do.
There is a shortage of testing kits around the world. That's the situation so if anyone thinks he/she has Covid19 or contact with someone who has it, the person should isolate. That's the standard for now.
Politics / Re: NCDC Has Not Tested Us - Abba Kyra's Aides Cry Out by TIMEISWISDOM(m): 5:14pm On Apr 02, 2020
You don't get tested till you show symptoms. Until then self isolate. Enough of the alarms

The answer is on the last paragraph...

We joke with everything in this country.
Those countries evacuating their citizens has been in this Covid 19 war before us,
they know exactly that this is not war female run,
holding their breast...

We are not serious here...
There supposed to be lockdown yesterday in Anambra state but my people moves around freely,
just that markets closed.

I was imagining this lockdown to be what I used to see on Facebook in other countries where you wont even see 1 person on the street but everybody was moving freely yesterday...

Me I even go mechanic go repair my car but we still dey lockdown...
Even in us not all states are on a lockdown stop being an alarmist, volunteer and join the Frontline if you are so concerned
