Same for my dad, ex military... I need a woman who is an upgrade of my mother too

Romance › Fact About MURIC President: ISHAQ AKINTOLA: Professor by Timekeeper(op): 7:01pm On Jun 06, 2018
PROFILE
ISHAQ AKINTOLA: Professor of Islamic Eschatology, Muslim Activist, Human Rights Activist, Social Commentator, Advocate of Dialogue.
MY PHILOSOPHY: I remain oppressed until the hungry are fed, the naked clothed, the sick healed and the homeless sheltered.
BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD
Ishaq Akintola was born in Obaloran Compound, Ile-Ife. Ishaq’s mother died when he was just three years old. From the very tender age of five years, crowds used to listen to Ishaq as he recited the Qur’an at the Ile-Ife Central Mosque, Enuwa where he was placed on top of a table for all to see. He finished the Qur’an at the early age of nine years. He also learnt more Arabic under Ustadh Abdul Rauf (Ketefe) at Ojoyin, Ile-Ife.
HIS EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CAREER
He was soon overtaken by his childhood love for Islamic education and he left his hometown, Ile-Ife, for the famous Ma’had Arabic Institute of Nigeria in Ibadan.
His university education began with a Certificate course in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Ibadan where he excelled and got a Distinction plus the Arab League Prize. In 1975 he traveled to Cairo, Egypt, where he studied Simultaneous Translation (Arabic/English/French) at the Al-Azhar University which is the first university in the world. He returned to Nigeria in 1979 and obtained his Masters in Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as Master of Philosophy at the University of Ibadan in 1981and 1983 respectively. He bagged his doctorate degree (Ph.D) at the University of Ilorin in 1990.
Ishaq Akintola worked as a teacher of Arabic at the Oshowusi Memorial Grammar School, Iloko, Ilesha (1972 – 1974), and at the Islamic High School, Orita-Bashorun, Ibadan (1980 – 1984). He became a lecturer at the Lagos State University (LASU) in 1984.
HIS JIHAD AND DA‘WAH ACTIVITIES
Is-haq Akintola is a born jihadist. Even as a young student in the Arabic Institute, Ibadan (Ma’had), he led fellow students in a protest. In Cairo, he led students of al-Azhar University to confront science students who mocked and cheated students of Arabic and they won their freedom. After returning to Nigeria, he joined Dr. Beko Ransome Kuti, Femi Falana and others in the Campaign for Democracy to confront military dictators.
He established two Islamic organizations: the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) for the protection and promotion of the rights of Muslims in Nigeria and beyond and Tele-Dawah for the preaching of Islam on television, radio and through public lectures and tracts. Today he is the Director of the Muslim Rights Concern, Ambassador of Tele-Dawah and Coordinator of Muslims Against Aids (MAIDS). Is-haq Akintola is always in the news either on television, on radio or on the pages of newspapers. Akintola is, no doubt, an icon of great treasure, a jihadist of repute.
Ishaq Akintola led Nigerian Muslims in the agitation for a work-free Friday. He also featured prominently in the struggle to establish Shari’ah by engaging Christians in debates on radio and television. His deep knowledge of the Bible enabled him to defeat all his opponents. He has led Lagos Muslims to demonstrate against Israel and to protest against hijab restrictions. Akintola’s boldness knows no bounds. He is a friend of the oppressed, a champion of the masses.
..

HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEACE AND RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN NIGERIA
Dr. Akintola has used the two Islamic organizations established by him, namely, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC, an Islamic human rights organization) and Telly Dawah (a preaching outfit) to promote peace and religious tolerance in Nigeria. Through MURIC, Akintola organized several workshops and seminars to enlighten fellow Muslims and Nigerians in general about the peaceful nature of Islam. MURIC has repeatedly condemned terrorism and all forms of violence.
The press statements of MURIC which are broadcast on radio and television as well as published in newspapers have been able to douse tension in the country on many occasions.

HIS FAMILY LIFE
Dr. Akintola is happily married with children.

This is Nigeria’: Another Muslim group tackles MURIC, says even Christians are not provoked
lifestyle.ng Jun 5, 2018 5:07 PM
Shortly after the Muslim Rights
Concern (MURIC) asked Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana to withdraw his ‘This is Nigeria’
video, a group known as Muslim Against Terror has defended the artiste.

The group says MURIC does not
have an understanding of veil usage.

In the video, girls wearing hijab
are seen dancing ‘shaku shaku’, hence the controversy.

While addressing the reactions
that trailed the video, Falz had explained that the girls were a representation
of the abducted Chibok girls still in Boko Haram captivity.

In a statement countering that of
MURIC, Muslim Against Terror asked if Ishaq Akintola, director of MURIC, would
“prefer watching the ladies in the video dressed in body-hugging mini skirts
and shaking their bountiful parts??

It read: “In clear contradiction
to what MURIC’s Professor Ishaq Akintola claimed, Islam or Muslim was NEVER
mentioned in the video and the veil is not owned by Islam but worn by anyone
who so feels, hopefully to the pleasure of Muslims and worn by nuns and
sometimes forcibly doused by terrorists on their captors as happened in the
Chibok case.

“Where did Ishaq see Islam or
Muslim in this video?

“Was this subvert threat of a
possible repeat of radical and meaningless, unjustified violence by misguided
Islamists in the past, a means of merely defending the Buhari administration
possibly negatively affected by the viral video and defending Fulani
herder-. terrorism by attempting to present the video as religiously
provocative? The video was not.

“If at all the video provoked any
religion it was the Christian faith, by ridiculing pastors casting out demons
via grabbing female breasts, and also laying direct attacks at pastors involved
in the establishment of universities which their congregations cannot attend.”

Instead of threatening Falz with
legal action, the group urged MURIC to focus on the issues raised in the video.

“As regards truths of value in
the video, there were very many that seemed not to be digested by Professor
Ishaq, including: that the people are extremely poor, medical facilities are
poor, that we operate a predatory neocolonial-capitalist system fueled on fraud
and exploitation, bedeviled with institutionalized corruption, that criminal
cases are settled in police stations and not courts, police station closing by
six, no electricity, youth work multiple jobs and yet are called lazy by the
president.”

The group urged that MURIC be
careful of the propagation of sensitive messages.

Education › Re: Nigeria Scraps Award Of HND Certificates By Polytechnics by Timekeeper: 7:37am On Jun 06, 2018
Galadimat:
Nigeria Scraps Award of HND Certificates by Polytechnics – The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a comprehensive reform of Nigeria’s tertiary education system, scrapping the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) by the nation’s polytechnics.
In effect, the award of the HND will be limited to only the students currently admitted for the programmes.
Also, all the programmes currently being run by the polytechnics, which are not technology-based, and which are about 70 per cent, will be scrapped.
Under the new rule, the polytechnics will now become campuses of the proximate universities with the Vice Chancellors of those universities appointing provosts for the polytechnics, subject to the ratification of the Universities Councils.
The polytechnics will now be limited to award of the National Diploma (ND) while those desirous of further education will be awarded the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) by the proximate university.
To kick-start the new policy, the nation’s two most prominent polytechnics – Yaba College of Technology and Kaduna Polytechnic – will henceforth be known as City University of Technology, Yaba and City University of Technology, Kaduna.
And to give legal teeth to these approvals, the FEC approved the submission of two Executive bills to the National Assembly for enactment into law.
With education being on the concurrent list, the states may wish to consolidate their tertiary institutions. But if they do not wish to follow the federal example, their programmes will continue to be regulated by the relevant agencies of the Federal Ministry of Education.
The first bill will concretise the setting up of the two city universities while the second will approve the preparation and consolidation of all federal polytechnics and colleges of education as campuses of proximate universities.
The Ministry of Justice will do the preparation and submission of the two bills to the National Assembly.
Minister of Education, Mall. Adamu, told journalists after the weekly meeting of the council that under the reform measures, her ministry would, however, continue to licence private polytechnics and colleges of education for the award of qualification at ND and National Certificate in Education (NCE) levels.
She said: “There will be no more award of HND.
After we have exhausted the current students under the programme, there will be no more award of HND. This means that there will be no fresh admission for HND programmes. And in addition, any programme that is not technical will be out of the polytechnics. About 70 per cent of polytechnic graduates are in the non-technical courses. It is going to be a rigorous implementation programme.”
A ministerial committee to ensure the smooth implementation of all that is required for the take-off of the reform initiatives is to begin work immediately.
Mall. Adamu said: “The HND certificate will remain a legal tender in Nigeria and holders of such certificate will continue to be recognised as the equivalent of first degree holders without discriminatory remunerations and limit to progression in the work place.
The NCE certificate will be retained as the minimum teaching qualification at the basic level of education. Any higher qualifications by these private or state-owned polytechnics will be only affiliation with a university. So, HND is no longer in existence, but existing HND will be respected and considered legal tender.”
The council also approved the Federal Government’s formal take-over of the Waziri Umaru Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, which will be the College of Technology campus of the Othman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, as well as the Hussein Adamu Polytechnic, Kazaure, Bauchi, which will be a College of Technology of the proximate university in the state.
Also, the Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Imo State, has been taken over as a campus of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
A state that had never had any federal institution, like Bayelsa, is to have a College of Technology as a campus of the College of Technology of the University of Port Harcourt.

Sports › World Cup Saga : Mastercard Slammed For Messi & Neymar by Timekeeper(op): 12:53pm On Jun 03, 2018
Social media hit out at the company after they promised to donate 10,000 meals to starving children if the star players find the net in Russia
Mastercard saw their charitable promise to feed thousands of hungry children throughout the World Cup backfire on the company as it came with the condition that Lionel Messi or Neymar score a goal.
The credit card corporation pledged to donate the equivalent 10,000 meals to help feed children in Latin America and the Caribbean every time one of the Argentina and Brazil stars finds the net during the tournament in Russia.
But a giant global corporation sitting on such a copious amount of food in a world rampant with inequality and poverty, all for the sake of public relations, was a hard one for football fans to take.
Mastercard's promotion of the scheme prompted immense outrage on social media, as many pointed out the obvious opportunism from a company worth huge amounts of money.
But it was not just Twitter users who hit out at Mastercard, as even Brazil boss Tite suggested their idea could have been better.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of Sunday's game against Croatia, Tite said "Mastercard, I am going to tell you something. This donation to charity is very nice. It’s beautiful and it’s grand. Just as it would be a grand gesture you giving food if any Argentina or Brazil player was to score a goal.
"We work here as a team and these gestures can be a bit frustrating. That’s my suggestion."

Yet they say there is no God but Allah.. If there is no God, why telling us that it's the same God that we serve only the name differs... To me, it means they don't believe that we serve one God, they let accept that in pretence but deep in them, they don't bliv that there is a God.... Any more light on this?
