mosun35: Well this is an advert forum but I feel that the job is very sensitive in nature to b for public consumption. Firstly the children are little and shouldnot be exposed to just any1 wether female or otherwise. Secondly for security reasons, especially in the era of kidnapping which is very prevalence in Nigeria now, one must b security concious. Thank you for the advice. |

Family / Re: Bride-to-be Attempts Suicide After Fiance Called-Off Their Wedding by TimePiece(f): 4:41pm On Jul 23, 2013 |
Ujujoan: @ Ujujoan....I pretty much understand your feelings but......you need to look at it with less sentiment and you will understand the premise on which Mynd_44 drew his conclusions from. It can be most stressful to be in a relationship with an emotionally unstable person, like the suicider. I bet you ... the groom-to-be saw this coming and for him, he thought it unwise to go ahead and exchange vows with her, knowing that her emotions run like wildfire and that the result could go either way (either she hurts him or even herself). Therefore, he ran for his life. My dear, there's an extent to which one gets emotional and you'll begin to look irrational and cowardly! So what?! you kill yourself...and then what? Come on!!!! Look!...I won't be surprised if after the rescue, someone slaps her hard on the cheek, just to jolt her back to reality (her senses)... ...and make her understand that nobody...and I mean, nobody is worth that sort of headache. 1 Like |

ccollins: There's no justification for taking your life. It doesn't matter how terrible the story sounds....it just doesn't make sense! For a broken heart, you can cry in your privacy or even in the midst of close friends and family......or even go starving for a period because of lack of appetite (as a result of your state of mind).....but not to commit suicide. People with this sort of emotion scare others...'cos you can't really tell what they could be up to. Just doesn't make!!!!SMH |
Politics / Re: Dame Patience Must Learn To Control Her Tongue - Abati On Rivers Crises(2010) by TimePiece(f): 1:11pm On Jul 19, 2013 |
SMH. It's a shame! It's not like this post revealed anything new about Abati... it only further confirms his person...but I must say that I feel real pity for him...he sure has sold his soul to the "devil". And I'm afraid he'll pay for it someday. Don't these guys have partners (wives/husbands) who tell them the truth?! |

Politics / Re: Nigerians Challenge Patience To Debate With Soyinka by TimePiece(f): 10:47am On Jul 15, 2013 |
And what is this supposed to mean?? why do we love so much drama in country?? or is this an absence of what to do? Why can't we instead challenge the govt on the absence of any tangible improvement on virtually every aspect of our national life? Or even, question the nature of the state of emergency that the GEJ govt has declared in some northern states that has still allowed the sect, BH, operate to the extent that school children were killed? Or isn't the declaration supposed to mean that these states are run over by the military? Please people....there are more pressing issues than to really care about what PEJ or WS has to say. |
Culture / Re: What Is The Significance Of "Cake" In A Traditional Marriage? by TimePiece(f): 9:02am On Jul 13, 2013 |
Didnt't have one at mine. Didn't and still don't see the need to. I think it's just one of those unnecessary contemporary Nigerian traditional wedding "evils". So, OP, "nothing do you" if you don't want it. Afterall, it's not even part of our traditional rite. So shed it off your list and channel the cost into something else or still, save it! 1 Like |

Akshow: like minds. Crying and whining. Always the victim. News flash: not all threads have bigot intents. Wait a minute! Agreeing with an observation that someone made and I observed too now equals to bigotry? Or was it posted in the jokes section? If you must know, I'm not as small-minded as shown in your response to my comment. I just can't be bothered about write-ups like that; not even for a split second. |
