I think people do it to signify New Dawn, hope of brighter year, etc. But it's just religious practice of some church members with no Bible backing. Most Pentecostals don't do it. Infact even the Crossover service, is it really necessary? |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Significance Of Lightning White Candle After Cross Over Service? by Timfreds(m): 2:09pm On Jan 01, 2021 |
ogascomax: They usual make it to signify brightness, the down of a new day, to signify light in their life but all those stuffs are not for the spiritual mature. It is not the light you present the physical light that gives you light. It is spiritually and scripturally wrong. As an individual you are light, the light of the world. Jesus says light your light so shine before men. And Isaiah 60 says arise shine for the light as come and the glory of God is risen upon you. It's the glory of God that gives light. I The most sensible answer I read so far. |

OreMI22: Like Nero that sang while Rome burnt, Buhari is busy playing tribalism and nepotism while the last vestiges that hold the Nigerian state together totally erode.
I totally cannot see any way Nigeria will avoid a bloody civil war from which it would finally disintegrate. Buhari took it too far and too extreme. Even Abubakar Shekau would have been more patriotic to Nigeria. "Buhari took it too far and too extreme. Even Shekau would have been more patriotic to Nigeria" Guy, you too bad. |

Politics › Re: 2023 Presidency: The APC 'Gang Of Four' by Timfreds(m): 1:05pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
Coronabirus: OP is trying hard to make sense in the eyes of people who easily fall to any ethno-religious political tension. The first blunder of the OP is, Mai Mala Buni is serving his first term in office not second term. Governor Badaru is planning to contest for Senate seat in Jigawa North-West senatorial, Bagudu has no political capacity to become VP, Malami is only yearning for Kebbi state Governor's seat which he's now favourite to take over. APC are just romancing GEJ in their effort to neutralise him from taking part in PDP's electioneering especially in SS come 2023. Those governors are also preparing to hijack the party so that they can have political power in the party structure toward 2023 primary election; politics is give and take! Those 3 Governors are given the mandate to make peace and restore normalcy in APC which was list during Oshiomole's leadership. What I know which will be difficult depending of APC permutation is none of those mentioned could make VP ticket in APC and APC is definitely zoning it's Presidency to South. It's left for the South to prepare for the primary election's permutation & strategist in fielding the right VP candidate who will give them the needed popularity in the North. OP you need to gather secret information of those people before coming up with this allegations because you can't just read people's mind from far or news paper editorials. I'm telling u this from the fact I know about those people not mere hear-say. Everything the OP wrote is not FACT but he's making a point. There are things we can pick out. And my friend, you can not really KNOW politicians to defend and speak for them. |
