I think you guys should go down to OAU right away. If you know the course you've been offered in OAU,you'll be able to make a better decision of whether to reject the one you've been offered or not.
And yeah.....act fast and desperate, anything could happen.

Charity officer
Civil Service administrator
Government social research officer
Health service manager
Housing manager/officer
Local government officer
Social researcher
Social worker
Bank employee

Most people would argue that a Public administration career isn't a professional one. Most of the jobs listed above can be done by any other person. My advise to her would be to accept the admission and re-write jamb for Accounting if she's hell bent on studying a professional course.

Just make sure you get as much information as you can about it before accepting it. It would help you know what to expect.

Public administration is a wonderful course and doing it at OAU is a very big plus. I guess the decision is a rather private one. Does she want to go to LASU when OAU is offering admission? Does she have a passion for accounting?

See ehn, the decision is hers to make. It all depends on what she wants. Public administrators have good job prospects. She could even do an ACCA to have an accounting degree. Accounting as a course is becoming less necessary, I think. The place of Divine direction is also paramount.

Er, firstly, OAU doesn't have a Petrochemical Engineering department. It only has a Chemical engineering department. Your son's name should show since it's a polytechnic that offered him admission. If it hasn't, then it probably means that he fell below the cut-off or you have to be more patient with your connection people.

I think you get a B.Ed in one and a B.Sc in the other. I not very sure. You cannot apply for certain jobs with a B.Ed. Most B.Ed holders work in the Education sector. I hope this helps.
