Always about his own selfish interest
You are jumping to conclusions too fast. He has remained in one party throughout this democracy, so I fail to see why you label him. Betrayer. Some people have jumped from one party to another many times.

Responding to the allegation, INEC’s lawyer said Obi’s legal team declined to attend a meeting that was called to streamline issues around documents to be tendered before the court.

“We agreed to meet on Monday and Tuesday (15 and 16 May). But on Monday, May 15, I received a call that the Labour Party legal team had not turned up at the venue for the inspection of the documents,” Mahmoud told the court.

You see..

I don know say the truth go come out..
Obi is not interested in the case. His interest in the limelight the case is providing for him.
PoliticsLabour Party at Today's Court: We Are Not Ready by tinsel(op): 12:42pm On May 17, 2023
Labour party today told the court that they are not yet ready as INEC is yet to give them up to 70 per cent of materials needed while INEC in turn replied that the party is not serious.

PoliticsForget The Fake News From Obidients, Apapa Was Not Chased Out of Court by tinsel(op): 11:33am On May 17, 2023
There was drama at the presidential election petition court on Wednesday as Lamidi Apapa, factional national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), confronted Akin Osuntokun, director-general of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign council, over seats.

Trouble started when the courtroom was opened for lawyers and litigants at about 8:05am for the day’s proceedings.

Osuntokun and other party bigwigs were already seated in the plaintiffs’ gallery when Apapa and his colleagues approached them and demanded that they give up their seats.

Apapa asserted that as the rightful head of the Labour Party, he belonged in the plaintiffs’ gallery.
But Osuntokun refused to give up his seat, insisting that Apapa had no right to take the seat.

To defuse the heated situation between the two leaders, Josephine Ekperobe, secretary of the presidential election petition court, had to step in
But the drama didn’t end there.

When the case was called, Obi announced appearance for himself.

Subsequently, Dudu Manuga, national woman leader of the party, announced appearance for the party but was quickly opposed by Apapa.

Due to the confusion, the five-member panel of justices led by Haruna Tsammani refused to record any representation for the party.

Nothing to laugh about. Obi is ready to expose dirt that Tinubu might not want to come out. They begged Atiku during campaigns when his team was about to open the whole cocaine deal issue.
I really don't know if you Obidients come out from another planet or just play a game. But, I think all this nonsense from you guys will end in a few days and the false hope will start to go down.
Obi is deliberately playing on their intelligence so his name will not vanish. He will make one stupid quote and their hope goes up. Deliberately keeping his name on the headline news.
PoliticsI Must Be Nigeria's President-Peter Obi by tinsel(op): 5:27pm On May 12, 2023
Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has declared that he must be president of Nigeria.

Obi, who came third in the 2023 presidential election, said this at the presentation of a book entitled: “Peter Obi: Many voices, one Perspectives”, in Awka, Anambra State capital, on Friday.

The book presentation was designed to raise fund to enable Mr Peter Obi pursue his ongoing election court case.

“Anyone who thinks I’m on transit is wasting his time. Let me tell you, I must be the president of this country. I’m sure of that. If it is not today, it must be tomorrow.”

LP faction backs Tinubu’s swearing in, accuses Obi of making illegal request

Presidential tribunal: Obi, others agree on processes

“Other people who want to be, should come and tell us what they want to do, and how to do it. This is my country, I don’t have dual citizenship. If anyone thinks I am going to run away from Nigeria, they are lying.

“I have three engagements in Anambra and Lagos today. I will be speaking in Lagos tonight. We will not leave Nigeria. I am not in a hurry to become the president, but I know it must happen.

“For three years I was in court in Anambra to
reclaim my governorship, just to challenge the process. Many people tried to discourage me, but I said even if the entire four years tenure elapsed for us to prove a point and correct the process, I will be fulfilled.

“I was in an event yesterday in Abuja, and it was World Food Organisation. I listened to report that stated that Nigeria will face intense hunger in years to come.

“It is Nigeria that will face hunger, not Peter Obi. The report listed Borno, Adamawa and Yobe as the states that will be worse hit, but those three states put together are five times larger in land mass of Israel, yet Egypt exports food, but Nigeria cannot feed itself.

“So we must cultivate a habit of doing the right thing. If we don’t do the right thing, it will consume us some day.”

“I must be the president of this country; if not today, it will be next time. I’m not desperate; I’m not in a hurry. I’m committed to cause of better Nigeria,” he said.

Obi also said he would respect the decision of the court in the ongoing electoral dispute.

“We are peaceful, we are not going to quarrel with any politician. Don’t be discourage about my apologies to people. As youth, we cannot fight our fathers, even when we are right.”

“We are not going to riot . I am in Nigeria; I don’t not have dual citizenship; I will not run away; we must be here to right the wrong in the country,” he stated.

Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Afred Achebe, Catholic bishop of Awka diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, were among dignitaries at the event.

onuman:
Bolded.
If BVAS is not useful, why did we invest billions of Naira on electronic transmission of results from BVAS?

Why did INEC vow before the election that BVAS must be used for electronic transmission of results from BVAS in real time?

Has Nigeria become a country where election heists are legitimised by the INEC and the Courts? Because, next election, any political party is entitled to mass thumbprint ballot papers and write its own results, no accredited voters; submit to INEC to announce its candidate the winner of the election so long as the fraudulent votes tally with the number of voters in
the register of voters. Beware of the implications of what you want the Petition Tribunal to do because you want Tinubu to be president.
Well, the highest court has ruled.
PoliticsRe: Osun: INEC Not Bound To Electronically Transmit Results - Supreme Court Rules by tinsel(op): 12:39pm On May 11, 2023
mtngloetiartel:
This judgement is technicality. It rubbished the purpose of the BVAS. The BVAS ensure a free and transparent election. No chance for riggings and manipulation of results. Instead of them to reinforce the BVAS capability, they are rubbishing it process. How can they hold that it is not mandatory to transmit the election results real-time? They are giving legitimacy to the chance for rigging. How do they expect a petitioner to be in possession of the BVAS like it was thier right? INEC is supposed to be held culpable for the irregularities if not, there would be no room for improvement. 3bn was allocated for this election, people deserve the best from INEC. Not this shamble and mess of an election.
It is already a reference judgement to be used by all courts in the land

MadamExcellency:
Why did you jump the following emphasis by the Apex Court as stated below?

The BVAS, INEC voter register or form EC8A showing the number of votes cast at each polling unit are the only admissible evidence that can be used to ascertain over-voting.

The Labour Party and PDP petitions are centered on BVAS not IREV.

Secondly, BVAS exposes Over voting while IREV exposes votes manipulation and reassignment and APC didn't contest vote reassignment as in the case with LabourParty petition
Hopefully, they will submit BVAS?
