Politics / Re: Why FG Should Not Increase Minimum Wage For Workers by Tinubuderanged: 4:07pm On Jul 20, 2023
Birdbyrde440:
Increasing minimum wage at this time will spell doom for the economy, to increase the minimum wage, the FG has to do a 300% increase in salary of workers i.e a cleaner in the civil service will now be getting around N100,000 as salary!

Money effectively lose value, too much money in circulation and since subsidies on petrol has been removed, the price of petrol will continue to go upward so that means continuous increase in minimum wage. In a few years time the minimum wage will rise to maybe N500,000. A loaf of bread might go for N10,000.

Fossil fuels contributes greatly to global warming and the global economy is shifting to clean, renewable energy sources so if you must use fuel to power your cars, gens, etc... then be prepared to pay a hefty price for it.
congratulations. You two of your fellow animals that liked your trash.

You know how many Nigerian rulers came from the North since Independence, don't you? If they had laid solid foundations for Nigeria's development and progress things wouldn't have been this way. What exactly did they do to ease the suffering of their people, not to talk of the other Nigerians? Tinubu hasn't been in office for 50 days, yet you're wailing already. You know how long your people ruled us, don't you?
the best president of this country is Yar'adua and he is from the north.
The third mainland bridge, Ibadan Lagos railway, Lagos Ibadan express road, first and second Niger bridge, kainji dam, shiroro dam, Nigerians airways, Abuja as a capital, all the railways in this country, etc were all build by president from the north.
Lagos would have been like Osun state if not for Yakubu Gowon, Murtala and Babangida.

Come to the north and see the meaning of surfering.
The whole country is complaining but you guys foolishly believe that anybody that didn't agree with Tinubu evil policy is an Igbo man.

Buhari didn't capture Subsidy payments in 2023 budget, remember? Tinubu only proclaimed what was already an issue of public discourse. I wonder why any reasonable person should evaluate performance of a government that has been in for less than 50 days. It isn't for nothing that the Americans from whom we copied this type of democracy, assess their governments only after 100 days in office. Some people are happy to be bearers of hopelessness in the Nigerian situation. They hate Hope.
which hope? Someone is putting a knife on your neck and the same person I s telling you to have hope, are you a fool?

you are a clown. Jonathan wanted to remove subsidy but the ugly drug Barron stood against it. Buhari tried his best and we were buying fuel at 187. Now this dumb illiterate is selling fuel at 700 yet some fools are telling us not to complain.

Tell me, what could Obi or Atiku could have done better, and that less than 60 days after taking office? Remember that they too promised to remove Subsidy.
they promised to remove subsidy, did they promised to multiply school fees by 3? Did they promised to remove subsidy without palliative? Did they promise to remove subsidy on their first day in office knowingly that subsidy was budgeted up to the end of June?
Tinubu is a disaster I swear.

Tinubu has taken the best set of decisions since he became the president. Even the other candidates never say they would not remove subsidy. Anything or policy that will make Nigeria to stop borrowing in order to subsidize petrol consumption is highly welcomed. We can't eat our cake and have it. It is so obvious that Nigeria will go with the subsidy system going by the rate and amount of borrowing during Buhari government. This is positive economics as against normative economics. Unfortunate, many Nigerians don't understand the dangers ahead if we continue with subsidy regime.
the subsidy that tinubu stood against in 2012?

Sorry to say this mr poster, you're not intelligent one bit.

There was a time one Igbo couple who own filling station (God bless them plenty) refused selling PMS at the price NNPCL was selling as at June. Their reason was that they don't want to extort Nigerians and they kept selling at normal price while NNPCL was dishing out fake statistics to cover their broad daylight theft .

Dont be surprised if you see a fallout and in-fighting among the marketers where some will come out and sell at far lesser price than what NNPCL is fixing. They will soon split into factions cos some still have conscience and fear of God in them.
The NNPCL you are seeing now has turned cash cow for cabals to strangulate Nigerians to death through unreasonable prices using subsidy removal as excuse.. Just watch how NNPCL would be disgraced soon.
gerrout Mr intelligent.
