Hello my wonderful NL friends,

A friend of mine just got a 10ton man diesel truck (which can conveniently carry 7ton goods) however he doesn't know how to get regular jobs for this vehicle. The companies I ve in mind for him only need trucks of @ least 15ton capacity.

Can anyone here pls advice on how he can get his truck into regular use? He is an ex banker that just recently lost his job.

I will really appreciate ur feedbacks.

To the guys blaming people for not using prepaid meters, do u know that most consumers that applied for prepaid meters were given digital postpaid meters instead cos phcn staff in lagos n ogun enjoy the corruption that goes with post paid billing. There is nothing stopping phcn to outlaw postpaid meters to households and embark on replacement of all postpaid meters to prepaid meters if they are really serious but unfortunately they don't ve that kind of common sense cos corruption has enslaved them just has it has enslaved the whole nation.

What an interesting write-up. We southerners hardly differentiate btw Hausas and Fulanis cos we truly do not know however the many religious riot killings of southerners in the north (of both southern Christians n Muslims) haven't really helped the perception of Hausas by southerners simply because virtually all the killings prior to the boko haram era happened in cities and towns with a predominant Hausa Population. This has destroyed trust and ruined acts of friendliness btw southerners and Hausas hence my candid opinion is for the Hausa leadership to offer a genuine heartfelt apology to southerners for the killings that has happened in their cities and towns starting from the sixties and then other regions can follow suit.

I lived a while in some fulani dominated states in the north I.e the northeast after escaping religious riots in Jos and Bauchi and funny enough they were more friendly to outsiders and prior to the BH era those states where largely without any religious riot. The Hausa's need to look inward themselves and reed themselves of the bad elements amongst them then they can forge ahead and build trust with other tribes.

I do interact daily with Nigerian youths regarding entrepreneural development and I marvel daily @ the brilliance of our youth and weep @ the hopeless condition are leaders are putting our youths the so called future generation. Well over 80% of nigerians wld love to own their own biz and believe me they do have the business ideas however the abject poverty our leaders have subjected us to will not permit such. I don't know ur background but I went to public schs throughout and while in d university I know guys that will do danfo conductor during the break so they can afford to go to sch the next semester today (because of the short lived obj/soludo policies) this same people are millionaires today cos they got access to bank loans during the obj period. You cannot strive as a new entrepreneur in any country of the world without access to funds, the time that the brilliance of nigerian youths were about been unveiled the demon sanusi lamido came and torpedo the economic growth of the nation.

Please don't underestimate nigerians, we are very brilliant and dynamic our only problem is leadership. Please google a program named Small Business Administration (usa). That's the program set up by the usa FG to promote entrepreneurs, that agency has thousands of mentors enrolled (buffet is a mentor) the mentors are assigned new entrepreneurs so that they look @ the biz idea of the new guy and advice him on possible gains n flaws then the mentor will recommend the project for funding 100%, go read the rest this program is dacades old. Our leaders can do same (or @ best leave the economy to run well and not destroy it like sanusi is doing) but rather they are looting away the future of nigeria. One day the money will finish and their defendants will curse them for the hardship they will face cos there is no way they will loot this much and nature will leave them to go free.

Sanity or insanity of a man can only be medically proven. I am no permitted to call my fellow man insane except pronounced by the court (after medical proof). I am not so impressed with GEJ policies and his handling of the economy so far (it may change tomorrow) however he is my president and GOD forbid me supporting anyone that calls my president insane, for Christ sake he is representing 150million Nigerians. No matter what wrong he has done Mr. Ayittey (not worthy of being called a professor) should tender his unreserved apology to our president and to Nigerians as well and his professorship shd be revoked.

This is the fall out of some people terming themselves to be the perpetual rulers of naija even after ruling the country the most since independence while there are tribes in d country that hasn't enjoyed such privilege.

I just hope n pray the breakup will be peaceful. Its only fools that will think there is a future for this country now.

hi, nice that u want to start a biz but looking for one that will give u 30k per day seem too ambitious to me, it may just lead u to taking to high a risk however truly there are investments that can give u sizable n comfortable income e.g haulege. Search for treads on haulege on NL and you will read extensively on them. I did same some weeks ago. There are some companies there that may help u utilize ur trucks and they will pay u maybe monthly or so depending on ur negotiation.
