The soldier came back with his colleagues and the situation degenerated into a chaos.

And what did your people peddle on the social media? Lies & Propaganda. Soldiers came to Ladipo to shoot innocent traders without any provocation. Foolish Dubious & Criminally-Minded Lots!

Should the oba be dethroned then who do you put because he must die for another to emerge unless you have to kill him and risk unrest

You suspend him yet you can't choose someone in his stead because the entire palace would not agree with you

How do you then elect a new oba either way the court would tell you if you followed the tradition set in place of the palace deciding, if no chiefs agreed with you then how did you elect new oba

Again the Oba of Benin stool is not an appointed position. There are ruling families who inherit it.

I know this because I had a neighbour here, who is a Bini man, I also have a close friend of mine who is also Bini we have spoken about the authority of the Oba of Benin. I was made to understand no one plays around with the Oba. Be you governor or president.

Anyway, Lets not digress too far from the topic. I believe, Obaseki should leave the custodian of Benin culture that is the Oba of Benin, to decide where to house the cultural artefacts of the Bini people.
Obaseki should concentrate on governance.

The 1998/1999 episode is well documented.

The reason it seems that the Benin monarchy is so strong is because of the absence of ruling houses.
