Ibos. They are minorities.

No minority can be president without the input of the two majority ethnic group which are Yoruba & Hausa/Fulani.
Minority wey win Lagos and Abuja?! grin grin grin

BadMaster:
Don't be surprised if he rejects the nomination after security clearance. El-rufai is very stubborn and principled. He didn't want the ministerial position in the first place, and he made that clear on several occasions. But Tinubu practically begged him to serve in his government. So, with the stalling of his confirmation, he just might have decided not to accept it again.
You simply don't know the meaning of 'principled'

I just knew El Rufai would do this.

He didn't want the position in the first place.
Keep quiet
Tinubu has humiliated him because he never supported Tinubu in the first place
Ganduje, Bagudu, Badaru and Masari were the only Northerners that supported Tinubu wholeheartedly

Even though their mission was to meet the leader of the junta? Lol.

So why was the ECOWAS delegation restricted to the airport and refused access to the leader of the junta despite Niger being a member country?

Go and continue looking for Hoe-bi's "mandate" if you have nothing better to do.
Are you referring to AA and the Sultan as ECOWAS delegation??
That's buffoonery sha.
The duo were mere emissaries from Tinubu. That's why he humiliated them. Derby from Chad was given a presidential welcome.
He humbled Tinubu and Nigeria, not ECOWAS.

So why did the military junta refuse to meet with the "visiting" ECOWAS delegation, but restricted them to the airport with junior officers despite being a member country? Why?

You're clearly not half as smart as you think you are.
You are pained agbado guy
The junior officers are part of the 'junta'

Member or non-member, ECOWAS does not recognize the military junta, and the junta does not recognize ECOWAS resolutions either.

The ECOWAS flag at this meeting is therefore symbolic.

Take your weak strawman argument elsewhere.
Funny how you're visiting a regime you don't recognize
Clap yourself
Accept your error and move on
Even the US asked for a meeting with the 'junta'

A “literate” person that cannot differentiate a nation state from its illegitimate military junta?!

You clearly have bigger problems than Niger Republic.
Junta or no junta, Niger Republic is a member of ECOWAS.
Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Chad are also military regimes and are part of the so-called ECOWAS.
Take your propaganda elsewhere

Desire being an ECOWAS member, the present military Junta does not identify with ECOWAS and its resolutions, hence their rejection of the earlier ECOWAS delegation amidst crippling sanctions.

The presence of the “mere flag” at this meeting is symbolic and except you’re new on this platform, you’d know I’m very far from being Yoruba or even a southerner to start with.

Honestly, the President displayed inexperience in his initial handling the crisis in Niger (threats/ultimatum), which is understandable, but I’m sure he has received better guidance on the matter.

The ECOWAS flag behind Tchiani during the meeting with Emir Sanusi is highly symbolic and significant.
Symbolic as how?!
Is Niger Republic not a member of ECOWAS?!
Or you think dey need Nigeria's permission to hoist a mere flag?!
Yorubas and infantile propaganda

Now learn this, whiskey (with an 'e') refers to grain spirits distilled in Ireland and the United States. Whisky (with no 'e') refers to Scottish, Canadian, or Japanese grain spirits.

Fula agenda like you rightly said.. with their person as military leader in Nigeria, nobody will be able to challenge their takeover of lands for their herders.

I don't know maybe it's just my thinking, but I feel they had it all planned.. Coup in Niger republic and Nigeria to go together but our president was so smart not to fall into a trap, the man skipped all their already positioned men to appoint much credible officers as security chiefs.. All plans failed in Nigeria.
The other man in Niger republic; Bazooum (from a minority tribe there) wasn't wise enough to reshuffle those he trusts with security.. now see the outcome.
You think a Nigerian general will think of planning a coup?!
If there's anything like a coup, it will come from the junior cadre
