The Nigerian Customs at the Mallam Aminu Kano Airport, impounded fake military uniforms and boots.

The army uniforms were smuggled in to Nigeria from the Middle East. The seizure was carried out by Nigeria Custom Service, Kano/Jigawa Command.

The state command’s comptroller Umar Abbas, said the military gear include military camouflage uniforms and boots. Abbas said the seizure was key considering the present insecurity.

This is not be the first time that such illegal commodities were seized at the airport as an aircraft loaded with heavy weapons was also apprehended at the airport a few months ago.
