Lai Mohammed contested for the governorship of Kwara state under the defunct ACN in two occasions against Saraki. Lai lost to Saraki in a landslide.

Tinubu wasted his stolen money on two occasions backing the unelectable Lai mohammed. Surprisingly Lai Mohammed had the temerity to call defecting APC party members as having no electoral value when he Lai himself has not won a single contested election in his entire life. If in doubt, I dare Lai to contest as councillor in his own ward at the LG level and see if he won't still lose to Saraki's boys.

In 2015, Saraki and Tinubu's path will cross again with Saraki opposing Tinubu's nomination as VP to Buhari under the APC ticket. Saraki will argue and persuade Buhari to jettison Tinubu on the grounds of religion that it may not sail well with Christian voters. Buhari took Saraki's advice but gave Tinubu the sole nominating rights to who should be his running mate. Rather than Tinubu pick a seasoned politician from the SW, childish Tinubu will nominate his personal manservant and Butler, Osinbanjo in a move that was interpreted to mean that Tinubu did not support the idea of any Yoruba politician surpassing him politically.

Saraki will later refer to the manlet Osinbanjo as a "mere commissioner" which showed that nobody in the APC had any regards for the ceremonial VP, top most Buhari's inner cabal.

Saraki will later play Tinubu another 4-D chess move in the National assembly by securing the SP seat and also rubbishing Tinubu's candidate for Speaker in the green chamber. Check mate!

Stubbornly Tinubu will then go for Oyegun in a bid to secure the NWC of the APC from where he hoped by God only knows how, to get back at Saraki.

Oyegun was ousted and Tinubu gets a controversial penalty. Tinubu then gets Oshiomole to at least get one consoling goal for him but rather than put the ball in the net, Oshiomole does a spectacular scissors kick and puts the ball in his own goal.
