the one who holds back, preventing the anti christ from coming is the church and not God because after the church has left, God will still be in earth making sure people still get saved, yes people will be saved during the tribulation and it wont be possible if the Holy spirit is not on earth. it is the holy spirit that make men to be saved and since he is God, he wouldnt be removed from the earth it is only the church that will be gone then immediately the anitichrist will come.

If you understand what i wrote. I never said God is the one holding the antichrist. I meant his restraint against sin. God has been working through the church to ensure that his word is preach throughout the world. That is why Many christians believe that when God takes away his restraining influence the rapture will take place.

If satan was too subtle for one third of the angels in heaven, if satan was too subtle for the first man and woman, then you must not underestimate him. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Are you clothed with the armor of God? Like other new testament writers, John viewed the whole period beginning with christ's first coming (by birth) as the last days, it was a reality that gave a sence of urgency and expectancy in relation to christ's return. Even in john's time, christians were aware that a great enemy of God and his people, an antichrist will come before the last days are completed. This person will rise to power and lead a great rebellion against christ and the NT faith ( see Rev 13:1, 8, 18 note; 19:20; 20:10). This deceivers claim to be believers, yet they love the world and its sinful pleasures. The "antichrists" john refers to in this latter are probably early Gnostics.

According to the Bible, in the last days the spirit of antichrist (1Jn 2:18) a satanic-empowered opposition to God and all he has accomplished through christ will be represented in bodily form as an influential, international leader. This person will engineer satan's final attempt to overthrow Christ. Unlike the rapture, the coming of the antichrist will not be without warning. Several signs will point to his appearance and rise to power. At least three events must occur before he appears on earth.

1. The secret power of lawlessness will increase until it reaches its climax (2Th 2:7).

(¡) Theological apostasy. False leaders and teachers will offer "salvation" and cheap grace without true devotion to christ. They will claim that people can be spiritually saved even though they reject christ's demand for repentance (2pe 2:1-3, 12-19).
(¡¡) Moral apostasy.
People who have abandoned true faith in christ may still claim to believe the right things and to accept the Bible's teaching, yet they reject God's moral law and standards. By doing so, they corrupt the truth and embrace deception (Mt 23:25-28).

3. The one who now holds it back must be taken out of the way.
The one who holds it back may best be understood as God, as he is revealed through the holy spirit. He alone has the power to hold back , the man of lawlessness and satan (2Th 2:9). All of God's restraints against sin will be removed and the satanically inspired rebellion will begin. As God removes his restraining influence, the man of lawless nesswill be revealed (2Th 2:3-4). Be ready for the Rapture.

Those angels saw and met God. God knew even before he created humans that most of them would end up in hell. God doesn't have to torture humans forever.



That is not a solution because all sorts of questions can be and have been raised about Jesus and the New Testament gospels. God lost nothing. 33 years is nothing to an eternal being. If you think 33 years is significant how about the 2000 years after? Like I said, your God knows most people would be going to hell so the line about everyone coming to repentance is just noise. You asked. Why can't we see God? Why is he hiding?
In Job 13:24, job pleads before God in light of the crisis he was in and suggests that God had distanced himself from him. In isaiah 45:15, isaiah observes that God hide himself from his people at times because of their sin.
3 REASONS FOR GOD'S HIDDENNESS.

1. Hidden for our protection.
Perhaps God hides because of how his presence would affect us. We know that if a man sees God fully, he will surely die (Exodus 33:18-20) and we also see example, like that of isaiah of those who stand in the presence of God and are utterly "ruine" by his holy and glorious presence.
2. HIDDEN FOR THE SAKE OF RELATIONSHIP.
God may hide because he wants a particular kind of relationship with us. What would be the effects of experiencing the fullness of God's presence in our daily live? Would we still have free will?
God hides because he wants us to obey him out of our love for him, not because we are pressured into it or because He's standing over our shoulder ensuring everything we do is perfect. His hiding could be his way of giving us more freedom to choose to obey him.
3. HIDDEN SO WE MIGHT SEEK HIM.
Moreover, let's remember that God is a personal being who loves us. Rather than being constantly overwhelmed by his presence, maybe God wants to give us the opportunity to really long for and seek after him.
Someone once said that God doesn't always put his cookies on the lower shelf. What he meant by that was that God sometimes puts the sweetest things in life, like being in his presence, at a higher reach to make sure that those who find him really want him. Of course, scripture teaches us that no one seeks after God if left to themselves (Romans 3:11), but because God sought us he gave us the ability to affectionately seek after him.
IF HELL IS JUSTIFIABLE PUNISHMENT?
Like i said before: Hell was never ever made for man. Hell was made for the angels. God gave us his commandments. He he also gave us freewill like the angels. You a have choice. If you go to hell, it is because you choose to. Why do you get punished if you commit a crime in a society today? In some countries if you are caught on account of corruption, the penalty is death. And let me tell you this. We are alive today because of that 33yrs christ stayed on earth. Because of that you have a chance of spending eternity with God.

Do not harden your heart. God really loves you! Like i said Abraham was justified by faith in God. God's promises to and blessings on Abraham go beyond his physical descendants. The promises include all who accept and follow Jesus christ, who is the true "seed" of Abraham (Gal 3:14, 16). Because Abraham's faith resulted in obedience, he is the foremost example of true saving faith-the kind that pleases God and allows a person to have a relationship with him. God created hell. Hell was not created for humanity. Read (matthew 25:41) Those who spend eternity in hell, do so because they rejected God's love and his provision for salvation. Nobody is destined to go to hell, the bible says: God is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 peter 3:9). The bible says that Abraham was justified by faith. God saw and accepted Abraham as a model of the kind of obedience that proves a person's true faith in God (Romans 1:5; 16:26). Abraham had made a sincere effort to live by God's laws and commands. Because of this, God blessed him. Isaac and Jacob had to follow Abraham's example of faith and obedience if they hoped to have a relationship with God and recieve his covenant promises. This is still true for believers today.

God does not burn anybody in hell. God gave us free will. Going to heaven or hell is a choice we all have to make, there is a provision, a chance for heaven through Jesus christ, if only you'd believe. Yes i know God. If i say don't then am a lier. God does not have three heads. Let me ask you. Can water take 3 different form? Do you know humans are triune, with spirit, soul and body. Why can't God exist in distinct (not separate) but interrelated and completely unified persons: Father, son and the holy spirit.

On the 9th of may 2015, i saw this interesting topic on nairaland by walspring titled; Reasons why you must not go to Hell fire. I decided to read through. After all that was written and read about Hell. In the first page i saw this comment by thehomer 12:06pm on the same day. He said: "If heaven is where the monster who created hell is, maybe i'd rather go to hell. In hell, there will be thinkers like myself. My impression.

God is as real as that man or woman you see walking on the street. Hell is as real as the sun, moon and the stars.
Over the years, Hell fire has been a very difficult concept for many to accept, including myself. People kept asking if God is so loving why will he allow people to burn in hell?. God is a God of holiness and justice as well as a God of of love. Consider this carefully. From the beginning of the history of the human race, God has expected obedience and acceptance of his word from all of his creation as absolute truth. Before God made man.
1. God created the angels.
2. God made a place of suffering-Hell.
3. God placed Hell as a price on sin if the angels sinned.
4. The angels were fully warned.
5. One-third of those angels sinned.
6. God had no choice but to do what he said he would do.
7. God made man.
8. Satan came to man and wanted to drag man to the hell where he was going.
9. Satan persuaded man to do what he had done and commit the same sin he had committed.
10. The price had already been set.
11. God had to let man go to hell, though hell was not prepared for man. (matthew 25:41)

The Solution.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
God was willing to break up the God head for 33years so that man could be freed!
The lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 peter 3:9). Now you have one choice out of two, accept Jesus christ as your lord an saviour and go to heaven or don't accept and go to Hell.

I graduated top of my class and I can tell you it wasn't easy! Yes I was abroad but still I had to juggle between classes and a part time job. I basically had no social life especially in my final year!

I'm not saying those with less than a 2:1 aren't smart but seriously if you still in school, I beg you aim high! The opportunities and doors it opens is amazing. I'm on my third job since I graduated in 2013 and the opportunities keep coming that I'm the one turning them down.

What the op is saying in this context is that no matter hw intelligent a person is, when he gets emotionally upset he cannot think in an orderly fashion. Emotion can break his concentration and stifle his creativity. Some people's minds are totally dominated by their emotion. How you deal with your problem is different from the way other pple do. Am surprised that you graduated top of your class and still do not know that nobody is exactly like you in this world.
