nice topic bagged ma degree in 9ja. worked for a few years, went to a top school abroad and ran home just immediately after i took ma farwell pics. Bros, Jobs were just everywhere cos of 1) the experience i had working with a consulting firm 2) the gaduate school is highly rated in the world 3) added qualifications while studying ( CFA) Like others have said. If u think u can get a job that will add to what u have learnt in school, then stay but if u know its hopeless staying, u shld jump on the plane and come home. Ur foreign degree is always an attraction to employers. I do not mean London Met o! |

Have u ever heard of ROE (Oceanic bank has the highest for 2006 banking industry), ROA, LEVERAGE (Debt/equity mix), CASH FLOW ANALYSIS, Working capital need, interst cover, Asset turnover, Operating profit margin, return on operating assets?.
Financial Analysts have a 3RD EYE, that is why we are ANALYSTS!. WE DIG BEYOND THE SURFACE! Why do you think even the Mega banks like STANBIC, ZENITH, INTERCONTINENTAL BANK etc come to us for ANALYSIS.
My guy, this is my job, having even a MILLION BRANCHES, does not make u the BIGGEST BANK ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD! Compare UBA and THE WHOLE OF STANBIC's BRANCH IN AFRICA in terms of branch number, HABA. STANDARD BANK IS BIGGER THAN ALL NIGERIA'S 25 BANKS PUT TOGETHER! Na by SIZE?
Have u heard of the word economies of scale, and its demerit?
My! i am almost delivering a lecture on FINANCIAL ANALYSIS FOR FREE! Contact me for more details.
Why do u think when FINANCIAL ANALYSTS n CONSULTANTS are hired into a Bank, they are paid more than those that ve worked in the same bank for the same PERIOD. My guy they pay for the 3RD EYE SKILLS which ANALYST ve! YOU JUST can't BEAT THAT! easy man. u sound like u dont know anything Financial Analyst? My lil cousin knows about all you stated here. so just be cool with ur analysis mr.oga Financial analysts hired in a bank? how does that sound? the last time i checked a bank needs a lot of skilled professionals to drive the biz. Project Mgrs, Strategists, Marketers, Investment analysts, Accountants, IT speacialists and all are needed in a good bank. thank u @ Topic UBA paing 70k per month? thats less than a week wage in a normal place rubbish |

@tkb417
Thanks for your comments about my post. I was only trying to end the controversy, by bringing in something else. If it continues this way, people might be misinformed. The unemployed may keep crying. We do not want them to go to the high way with guns. Do we? That is why I brought in the Zimbabwe issue. But I am not as serious as you think about Zimbabwe. Just a joke, to end the controversy about the highest paying bank.
From your comment to me, I am glad. Because, I got the kind of response I want. Have a great day. oga im sorry about that o. Didnt know enuff controversies don happen I get ur drift about being modest with the declarations and all. . .its all gud no vex o |

Unquestionably the 94 side. Let's use facts and figures. The 1994 team went to the World Cup and were eliminated by Baggio's wizardry. They had won the Nations Cup in Tunisia, proving that they were by far the best, technically and skill-wise in Africa. On their way to the World Cup & Nations Cup,they made National stadium a fortress:Beat Cote d'Ivoire&Algeria4-1 each(World Cup Qualifiers).Didn't concede a goal at the tournament till the Semi-Final against Cote d'Ivoire. The 2000 squad couldn't even win the nations cup in their backyard. They had to claw their way back from 2-nil against Cameroun, and couldn't find that extra thing to win the game before the lottery of the penalty shoot-out.You might say we beat Cote d'Ivoire on the same penalty shoot out in CAN94 semi, but we dominated that game and missed a hatful of chances. Before Cameroun,Senegal made us sweat. At the same National Stadium.
There really isn't any basis for comparison between the two teams. If there is a team that can lay claim as the greatest,it's the 78-80 Green Eagles. yes o. rashidi yekini was the greatest culprit on that day 70-80 eagles didnt go to the world cup! |

the koko was that our players were hungry for success. Not many of them were playing abroad. They wanted to die on the field playing for Nigeria.
Now, too much money now dey cause katakata. Mikel Obi na perfect example |

Enough of this millions stuff. Honestly, you guys would kill the unemployed. By the way, what is the big deal about the millions you are all talking about? After all, in Zimbabwe, a family of 6, can finish a loaf of bread which cost 50 million Zimbabwean dollars. My friend, drop that calculator! Who is talking about exchange rate here? We are talking about MILLIONS and not exchange rate
Seriously, we should acknowledge the fact that the unemployed Nigerians read this thread. Please if you are earning millions, keep this to yourself. We do not need to make the unemployed feel sad. Cheers are u alright? didnt u see the title of the thread b4 u entered? so we should run amok cos den dey die for Zimbabwe? |

1994 team had many liabilities abeg. . . . .Austin Eguavoen was a nuisance. I cannot count the number of goals he got for opponents with his mis-timed tackles. Ike Okechukwu and Ben Iroha were classy though. Stephen Keshi was anutha relic that didn't have to make the Tunisia 94 team. They were good but they managed to win in Tunisia by a margin as thin as the skin of their teeth. Kalusha's team gave em a run for their money in the final. yeah they managed to win in far away Tunisia while the 2000 team couldnt win at home!! |

Giving away Lionel Messi will haunt Barcelona.
AND
Manchester United will have some problems after Ronaldo leaves.
